Re: “Woman who dressed as dinosaur, startled carriage horses surrenders to police

Why else would she be in the costume if it were not to scare the horses to cause an accident? She was asked three times to stop and continued the act. She should be brought up on charges of terrorism. She caused injury, and put the passengers lives in jeopardy. She disrupted a legitimate touring business, that is licensed through the city and state. And left the scene of an accident that she caused.

Re: “Newly released jailhouse videos show the strained relationship between Dylann Roof and his family

While I understand the parents must be hurting to an incredible degree, I'm disappointed that the father notes "You know everything you've done reflects on us as a family", as if that is what matters.

Re: “Fake news and the miseducation of Dylann Roof

Tupper, I suppose having a mistress on the payroll is not being corrupt? Perjury is not corrupt? Talk about fake news! Mismanaging classified emails is not corrupt? You just believe everything the Democrats tell you to believe, don't you? Bless your heart...

Re: “CARTA isn't an attractive option for most car owners — but it could be

The idea that buses in Charleston reduce traffic is a myth perpetuated by the people who stand to profit. At any time, only a few people are riding a bus. The buses are mostly empty. Next time you pull up next to one, peer inside and see how many people are actually in it. How many people do you see at an average bus stop? less than 5. Also, I'd like someone to do a real cost benefit analysis. Take the total cost to operate CARTA (overhead, personnel, capital equipment, fuel, operations) and divide it by the number of passenger trips. I bet it isn't any lower than a uber ride. It'd probably be cheaper to subsidize people's uber/taxi rides than operate this large, inefficient, behemoth bus company with its unionized employees and overhead and wasteful spending. It makes sense to operate the bus lines downtown, but the area is spread out with islands everywhere, connected with bridges, all making it highly inefficient to operate bus lines. Last time I rode on CARTA, people would try to get on and pay with pennies and nickels, wasting our time. Other times, people would try to beg their way on for free and hold up the rest of us. No wonder the buses can't get anywhere on time. Bums and people trying to count out pennies to the bus driver at every stop! And the buses hold up traffic, driving slow and making frequent stops.

With regard to Gowdy's heading the oversight committee, it's like asking the "fox to guard the henhouse."

Re: “Fake news and the miseducation of Dylann Roof

oh, non existent jail employees? That doesn't align well with the other many non existent and fictitious people that fill this entire story. Not to mention all of the single character photographs that are all done super professionally, or the fact that the CCTV image showing Roof entering the church that day is timestamped earlier than the incident by some 20+ hours earlier. Of course try and find those original images and you can't - they've since been erased - and some agencies have been able to debunk it. Then, you have about two dozen news stories specifically time stamped June 16th, that launched a day earlier. And thats without even dealing with the early leaks that happened on June 17th.

Re: “It’s official: New law allows S.C. distilleries to serve up mixed drinks

And of course we know that Joe Riley park is "just"across the street from the City of Charleston Police Dept. That should be a lot more revenue.

Re: “Wanna email Gov. Haley directly? Well, now you can: nrh@gov.sc.gov

I'M SICK, SICK, SICK AND TIRED OF THE SWAMP CREATURES AND THEIR ATTEMPT TO TAKE DOWN THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!!

The "DEEP STATE SLIMY CREATURES" have successfully taken the narrative of all of the lies and corruption that happened during the Obama/Hillary administration, AWAY!!

Just at the time when the murder of Seth is as the Wikileaks leaker is being exposed, as the Obama deep state presidency is being exposed, just as Hillary HOPEFULLY will be sent to jail by a new attorney general, just as the news media is being exposed, JUST AS HE IS HAVING AN INVESTIGATION INTO VOTER FRAUD, JUST AS just as the country is being turned around IN FAVOR OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, by a president that is CARRYING THROUGH ON EVERY CAMPAIGN PROMISE that he can, without being raked over the coals, WE HAVE A NEW "TRUMP SCANDAL"!!!! Now, isn't that interesting...NO PROOF, NO TRAIL, NO FACTS, JUST ARTICLES IN FAILING NEWSPAPERS LEAKED BY ANONYMOUS SOURCES TO COWARDLY TO GIVE THEIR NAMES!!! WHY didn't those people go to the justice department if it was that bad??? WHY DID THEY GO TO NEWSPAPERS???

JUST LOOK AT WHAT HAPPENENED!! THE CREATURES HAVE MADE SURE THAT ALL OF THE ITEMS LISTED BELOW, BECOME NON EXISTENT ON ANY NEWS MEDIA!
News that the stock market has hit record highs
News that unemployment is at it's lowest in years
News that businesses are investing back in America
News that he is going to lower taxes for ALL OF US
News that he is going to be able to give the best health care at a lower price
News that he has signed, like 35 executive orders that are freeing up the stifling overreaching ones that Obama signed
News that illegals coming over the Mexican borders are at an historic low
News that ILLEGAL CRIMINALS are NOW being deported
News that Americans have a new respect for their police force
News that EDUCATION will be changed, especially in the inner cities, to make America #1 again instead of 24th in education
News that we should HIRE AMERICAN, BUY AMERICAN
News that he has met with hundreds of CEO's to see what he can do to make America have a better business climate
News that he hasn't made one new law, he's just enforcing the existing ones
NEWS THAT HE'S GOING ON HIS FIRST OVERSEAS TRIP that is unprecedented! Going to countries that have the 3 major religions to show our solidarity with them. It's never been done before!

SO WHERE ARE OUT ELECTED REPUBLICANS STICKING UP FOR HIM???!!! THEY ARE RUNNING LIKE SCARED LITTLE CHILDREN!!! THEY HAVE THE HOUSE, THE SENATE AND THE PRESIDENCY!!!! FOR GOD'S SAKE, WHERE ARE THEY, HIDING BEHIND THE STATUES IN THE CAPITOL BUILDING???!!!

If we all have time, i suggest we go to the facebook pages of those that WE VOTED IN TO HELP OUR PRESIDENT and tell them to stand behind him or they will be voted out by ANY OTHER republican that runs against them in 2018!!! HEY REPUBLICANS,,,HAS ANYBODY TOLD YOU THAT YOU WON, YET???? It doesn't appear that way!!

They have turned out to be the biggest cowards right next to the SLIMY, SLITHERING DEMOCRATS! They need to hear from us and NOW!!
You are welcome to copy and paste all or any of my post right on to their facebook pages or emails.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!!! WE ELECTED HIM, WE LOVE WHAT HE'S DOING AND WE ARE BEHIND HIM 100%!!!!!

Re: “Why the Charleston County Sheriff's Department needs a new pursuit policy

What a one sided article, did you ask the sheriffs office if they use any other techniques to end the pursuit of fleeing vehicles? Because I promise you they have other tools available to end pursuits and they are regularly used. They are also 100 times safer than a PIT maneuver wich is essentially speeding cars colliding with each other at high speed. The exact thing you are whining about to get your 15 minutes of irrelevant fame. You should stick to ambulance chasing.

What do you think are the percs of being a cop? High speed chases and beating people up. It's fucking true and it's about time we address the mental traits of police.

Re: “Why the Charleston County Sheriff's Department needs a new pursuit policy

I hear what Jshicke is saying however fleeing a blue light is an additional charge and no doubt reckless driving as well. End quickly or get the plates and pics and wave off. Dead bystanders, dead cops, dead suspects are a dear cost for something that can be later dealt with by standard police work.

I would personally like to insert the needle. For free. I'm a nurse and can find a vein on a turnip. This polyp would be an interesting venture for hard-to-find veins. Might take a lot of tries....too bad, huh?

Wow, what a wonderful read! Please tell me that your day job is writing for a trendy magazine. Very entertaining and enlightening... I'm searching Amazon for those personal protection devices next! I hope you'll be my next uber driver so I can see if you're as witty as your writing.

Re: “Woolfe Street developers reach agreement with city on workforce housing fee

So if you build housing you must let some of it go at a loss? That's much better than allowing the creation of population density which lowers the price of housing for everyone with the side benefit of making mass transit efficient and affordable. We don't need no stinking housing, we just need the limited housing we have to cost renters less than it costs the owners because despite the well known fact that not allowing housing increases the cost of housing we can do it better than 100% of the world can, kind of like communism has failed everywhere because they didn't do it wrong, but we can do it right.

Re: “Why the Charleston County Sheriff's Department needs a new pursuit policy

Where do you draw the line? By announcing a more restrictive pursuit policy, you essentially tell people, "If you run, you get away." You ENCOURAGE people to run!

Train the officers to end a high speed chase quickly.

Re: “Why the Charleston County Sheriff's Department needs a new pursuit policy

This is a perfect opportunity to substitute drones for a dangerous practice. A drone at 500ft altitude can keep an eye on a fleeing suspect much more safely than a 4000lb Charger, and without the extreme cost. Our LEOs want to catch the bad guys and that's commendable but adrenaline-induced tunnel-vision costs lives and millions of dollars.

Re: “Why the Charleston County Sheriff's Department needs a new pursuit policy

It's hard enough to deal with reckless civilian drivers. Why add speeding cops to the problem. That's something radios can help.
