Re: “Person dressed as dinosaur startles Charleston carriage horses, injuring driver

Hoping that they secure the radical activist and fine/jail him/her. Although I heard it was a woman.

Re: “Why the Charleston County Sheriff's Department needs a new pursuit policy

What do you think are the percs of being a cop? High speed chases and beating people up. It's fucking true and it's about time we address the mental traits of police.

Re: “Why the Charleston County Sheriff's Department needs a new pursuit policy

I hear what Jshicke is saying however fleeing a blue light is an additional charge and no doubt reckless driving as well. End quickly or get the plates and pics and wave off. Dead bystanders, dead cops, dead suspects are a dear cost for something that can be later dealt with by standard police work.

Re: “Newly released jailhouse videos show the strained relationship between Dylann Roof and his family

I would personally like to insert the needle. For free. I'm a nurse and can find a vein on a turnip. This polyp would be an interesting venture for hard-to-find veins. Might take a lot of tries....too bad, huh?

Re: “How to wake up a snoring passenger without making things weird, and other lessons from a young, female Uber driver

Wow, what a wonderful read! Please tell me that your day job is writing for a trendy magazine. Very entertaining and enlightening... I'm searching Amazon for those personal protection devices next! I hope you'll be my next uber driver so I can see if you're as witty as your writing.

Re: “Woolfe Street developers reach agreement with city on workforce housing fee

So if you build housing you must let some of it go at a loss? That's much better than allowing the creation of population density which lowers the price of housing for everyone with the side benefit of making mass transit efficient and affordable. We don't need no stinking housing, we just need the limited housing we have to cost renters less than it costs the owners because despite the well known fact that not allowing housing increases the cost of housing we can do it better than 100% of the world can, kind of like communism has failed everywhere because they didn't do it wrong, but we can do it right.

Re: “Why the Charleston County Sheriff's Department needs a new pursuit policy

Where do you draw the line? By announcing a more restrictive pursuit policy, you essentially tell people, "If you run, you get away." You ENCOURAGE people to run!

Train the officers to end a high speed chase quickly.

Re: “Why the Charleston County Sheriff's Department needs a new pursuit policy

This is a perfect opportunity to substitute drones for a dangerous practice. A drone at 500ft altitude can keep an eye on a fleeing suspect much more safely than a 4000lb Charger, and without the extreme cost. Our LEOs want to catch the bad guys and that's commendable but adrenaline-induced tunnel-vision costs lives and millions of dollars.

Re: “Why the Charleston County Sheriff's Department needs a new pursuit policy

It's hard enough to deal with reckless civilian drivers. Why add speeding cops to the problem. That's something radios can help.

Re: “The Agenda: Graham reserved in reaction to WaPo scoop; Gowdy out of FBI running; SC-5 runoff today

As a fellow naif when it comes to NC Constitutional Law and Federal Constitutional Law, I also think my opinion based on 90 seconds of reading makes more sense than the actual justices that studied and heard the case for many hours as part of their careers of many decades. I will now pretend that there is no historical nor political context to the decision nor the barely-veiled motives behind the NCGOP actions, because that (a) requires less reading and (b) supports my all-important opinion.

Re: “The Agenda: Graham reserved in reaction to WaPo scoop; Gowdy out of FBI running; SC-5 runoff today

I read through the NC voter ID laws and I don't understand what the big deal was. They offered free ID's to anyone who didn't have a driver's license, passport, etc. People over 70 weren't required. Absentee ballots were still a thing. Showing an ID to go vote doesn't seem like a crazy concept to me.

For what it is worth, I'm pretty sure the title of this article was changed from the original. Nonetheless, I agree with your point.

i took your clickbait at "How Dylann Roofs commitment to racist ideals doomed him to execution." Nowhere in your story did i see how killing a bunch of people in a church is cool if it's not racist.

Re: “How integration led to the decline of black-owned businesses

I feel the blacks have been decimated through social engineering of their sub culture, the fluoride, welfare and vaccinations. All this has been brought down on everyone, but it does effect them more so. They had lower illegitimacy rates than whites, owned more businesses, literacy and writing was better. It's not like they didn't come up out of slavery and are still having a hard time, something happened.

Re: “The Agenda: Graham and Scott differ on Trump; Teachers training to help Gullah speakers; McMaster playing politics with veto?

He's now compromised intelligence personnel and intelligence gathering as related to ISIS, (unknowingly?) while apparently boasting about the intelligence to which he has access. This compromise may lead to domestic attacks given we've lost an avenue of critical intel of ISIS plans.

Re: “The Agenda: Graham and Scott differ on Trump; Teachers training to help Gullah speakers; McMaster playing politics with veto?

Can Trump really be this naive? Are his advisers feeding him fake news? Do his advisers even know how to vet fake from real news before feeding? I believe his entire advisory committee may be inept.
