Re: “Zombie hordes force Megan Jean and the KFB to relocate

I'm sorry, WE'VE been considering relocating to Atlanta. If the KFB now moves there it will seem as though all the cool and trendy people are headed that way and hordes of wanna-bes will flood the area.

Couldn't you pick somewhere else? I hear Red Bank is LOVELY this time of year.

Re: “Megan Jean tells a doo-doo story

bullocksonU, go back to being an old fart riding around in your "Cumaro", listening to .38 Special with your loser drinking buddies wondering what could have been if you worked half as hard as MJKFB. Just because an artist doesn't sell out large theatres, arenas, ect, doesn't mean they are irrelevant. Megan Jean and Byrne have worked very hard for several years now and they are gaining national indie music attention. I predict that before the end of this decade, they will have an audience at least 10 times it's current size. I look at them as a source of inspiration and as mentors. They may not have a platnum album yet and they might not ever. However, they will almost definitely make a decent living off of it for quite sometime. Besides, I have had my "rock n' roll fantasy" notions destroyed by the not-so-glamorous day-to-day operations of running a project and I haven't done 5% of the work they have so far. In spite of this, I still want to do it. This isn't a glamorous job, I've talked to several artists that have had followings from being loved in their hometown only all the way up to selling out large arenas and everyone says that the glamour people see is just an image. It's not always party central, often, it's tedious and frustrating, even after you're world famous. I've already experienced some of this and I still want to put the songs out there. Please stop with your simpleton comments.

Better than being a sad old fart, reading about someone else's glory days, wishing they were your own.

Re: “Megan Jean tells a doo-doo story

we were too busy selling the show out to care. yeah that's right, I'm a real person who isn't famous, driving from town to town playing music, and not some lame-ass idiot hiding behind a computer. bet your most rock and roll story is that time you got drunk alone (again) and pissed yourself.

Re: “Fuller Condon adjusts to life and fashion in Charleston

Saw Fuller Condon in the crowd a few nights ago at the Royal American. He was NOT wearing jeans. Later he smoozed with bassist Tim Peacock of the band Woody Pines. (http://chuckography.blogspot.com)

Re: “Megan Jean tells a doo-doo story

Possibly some of the lamest rock & roll stories I've ever heard. Shame on u Bowers for writing this drivel. Groupies, Zeppelin and a mud shark. That's a good rock & roll story! It's worth a google kids.

Re: “How Grace Potter learned to love her inner girly-girl and keep an edge

Grace you are.. She kicks open the swinging saloon doors to the City of Charleston, S.C. She then stacks a Duracell battery upon her left shoulder with the look of dare to knock it from it's perch, then she curses with confidence... Oops! La grâce que vous êtes au naturel! Je t'aime.

Re: “Afroman and the dangers of puff-puff paranoia

A music journalist who would mention the butthole surfers as one hit wonders, better go listen to some more music.

Re: “Afroman and the dangers of puff-puff paranoia

Wouldn't Baha Men or LMFAO be better analogies, though? EMF and Jesus Jones both turned out a couple of albums each, and not all of them were crap.

It's not "free" if I have to give away my email address, which will almost certainly lead to me getting some more great offers about my penis or hair or retirement fund.
