Those darn udsills
No, he didn't, but that isn't what the song is saying. The song is referencing Beauregard fleeing ahead of Sherman's troops. He knew Charleston was lost, and evacuated Confederate forces.
Sherman didn't take Charleston
Thanks for writing this article - Reid is a great guy, and Gone is a great album! Can't wait for the Triple Album Release Show this Saturday - the Whitt Algar All-Stars extravaganza!
Voting stated was till Oct 8 but it closed already.. Not right.. The day have not ended..
You get nominated by actual human beings going to the ballots during the nominations and physically typing in the artist you want to be voted on later on. Then the nominations are announced after people send in their ballots...this should make a lot of sense, but SLO fans don't seem to get that yet. Many of these artists have done amazing things as well, look into them. There's more going on then a sold out show at the music farm.
cause it's hip, man
Album of the Year-BE NICE BE CAREFUL by A FRAGILE TOMORROW
Rock Band of the Year-A FRAGILE TOMORROW
Guitarist of the Year-Brendan Kelly
Song of the Year-"KERNERSVILLE" by A Fragile Tomorrow
I prefer Indie.
What's funny is that the ballots themselves are voted on, a fact which fans of SLO seem to not grasp at all.
CPMAs Stop Light Observations Angry Fanbase Scale (Color-Coded)
Red: Not included on the ballot at all
Yellow: Not nominated in multiple categories
Green: Don't win every category
What happened to the category for Rock Band of the Year? And where's HeyRocco? Otherwise, happy to see a lot of my favorite musicians on the ballot!
Well, this is an interesting twist on the SLO drama this year! I can't wait to see how this one plays out!
Great! Much respect, Mr Bowers.
And just in case anyone's keeping score the first line in "Welcome..." is
The STRAIGHT life is good life....
Thank you, Brother Bowers
Wow...Stop Light Observations only got nominated for up and coming artist of the year?!? I guess the city paper missed their 2 sold out music farm shows , their hit song on the radio, their new album, Radition, their spring jam and first flush festival appearances, oh and some small, meaningless, music festival called Bonnaroo....good job city paper!
Their first album, Starfucker, is AMAZING
I will be in attendance. My Life Partner and I listen to music.
The actual show lineup is Vader, Vital Remains, Sacrificial Slaughter, Execration, Extremely Rotten, Coffin Syrup (Chucktown brutal death metal since 2003).
