Re: “Lectra Lust emerges on the local scene with fun props and cerebral synth pop

These guys have a very likeable sound, super-duper great vocals, clockwork timekeeping on the drum kit and bass, lead guitar could be a little more edgy but the sound focus is understandably and pleasantly geared toward the synths...and there is only one Elliot Easton in the world. Great combo for a group of working guys with a catchy name too!

Re: “Live Music: Tripping the Mechanism; Magic Camp; Quanstar

Start working at home with Google! It's by-far the best job I've had. Last Wednesday I got a brand new BMW since getting a check for $6474 this - 4 weeks past. I began this 8-months ago and immediately was bringing home at least $77 per hour. I work through this link, go to tech tab for work detail..

Re: “Shovels & Rope announce "Swimmin' Time" tour

Was gonna call my band copy and paste but it was taken. Shovels & Rope a definite breath of fresh air and originality on the music scene. Just don't forget the home town. Wonder if they would have made it as Michael and Carry Anne?

Re: “Loco Record Shop to close after 40 years

1974 was a good summer. I was just a kid. I remember those songs. Going to the record store was a thing kids did all the time. We were still buying 45s then. The mighty KTM had just gone on the air, bringing FM rock to Charleston. Without Ipods, Pandora or even walkmans, the radio supplied the playlist and each summer had a set of songs associated with it. Thanks for the records and the memories.

They did not play Murder in the City. It's my favorite song and they didn't play it.

Re: “Gregg Allman stands up for Sarah Jones

Sarah was doing what she loved. If this movie doesn't get made then she would have died for nothing. Make the movie, dedicate it to her & give the proceeds to a charity she would have appreciated.

Re: “Children's Choir get the band back together

The Colombian Neckties would have never done a Beatles cover. Besides, the Fire Apes had that market cornered.

"Is Modern West better than the average celebrity band?"

It'd better be, or Cal Ripken's going to break his fucking nose again.

His music can't be any worse than his recent movies.....I mean, a movie about an awful football franchise war room draft decisions??!! Made Waterworld look almost respectable...almost.

Re: “Folkie Todd Snider collects his yarns into a new book

Brett, we mentioned that it opens at 11 am on Sat. As for the other acts, we mentioned a select few and added "more."
If you'd like to tell me which acts we should omit, just let me know, and I'll gladly add in Kevin Kinney and Bottle Rockets.
Personally, Todd's a great performer and Awendaw's a great venue. Sounds like a winner to me.

Re: “Folkie Todd Snider collects his yarns into a new book

Saturday doors open at 11am not 5pm. They also failed to mention the other head liners. Bottle Rockets, most likely one of the first bands to merge rock and country and Kevn Kinney from Drivin n Cryin.
