Re: “Prepare to say "Arrivederci" to La Morra Pizzeria

Very bummed about this, wish they were staying. As someone who relocated here from SoCal, you are going to miss Charleston...

Re: “The invisible damage done by Charleston's smoking ban

For the past few years I have had difficulty working out in yard, then in 2015 it got harder and harder to breathe. After many tests, it was a CT scan that showed COPD, emphysema and scarring in my lungs. I quit smoking 8 years ago but the damage has been done. I got to a point I couldn't catch my breath and was coughing so hard I thought the top of my head would blow off, nothing was really working to help my condition. Finally i started on COPD herbal formula i purchased from NewLife Herbal Clinic, i read alot of positive reviews from other patients who used the COPD herbal treatment. I used the herbal remedy for 7 weeks, its effects on COPD is amazing, all my symptoms gradually faded away, i breath very more freely now! (Visit www. newlifeherbalclinic. com ) I recommend this COPD herbal formula for all COPD/Emphysema sufferers

Re: “Charleston City Council gives final approval to new carriage horse heat standards

Well, when I first moved here from Manhattan, I kind of freaked when I saw those poor horses in this heat. In Manhattan, the horses by Central Park are ordered to be taken off the streets when in hits 90! And the sun is not as strong up there as it is down here. I did take a few rides here and spoke with the carriage riders and asked about how they treated the horses because I was very concerned about them. They were kind enough to explain how they rotated them and brought me to the stables and showed me how they cooled them off on a continuous basis. They get sprayed with cool water after each trip. The horses are worked for only 3 weeks at a time and then sent back up to a farm and hv 3 weeks off. However, I am glad they decided to do this new practice. Everyone had told me I would get used to the heat here. Sorry, I hv been here 9 years, and I still cannot deal with the heat here. I stay inside during the summer. It is the humidity that is the killer.

Re: “Peeking behind the curtain with Charleston's illusionists

Caleb Alexander does not show up for a prepaid performance! We hired him for a birthday/family reunion and he disappointed everyone by not showing up. I don't know what he was thinking. He had no excuses and still has not returned my prepayment. Don't be disappointed, don't hire this guy!!

Re: “James Island residents call for moratorium on new apartments

Kathleen Wilson said she wasn't ready to take a position on whether a development moratorium was the right move.

Recall her or vote her out !

Re: “NIH cuts make me sick

They have theirs and are not worried about anyone else. They have the money to travel wherever they need and see whatever specialists they need to treat themselves, but to hell with those that depend on others for the same treatment. I am utterly disgusted with trump's lack of caring, among other things, of course. What these 'greedy old people' don't get is that this research may cure them one day by some, otherwise untested and un-researched, treatment for their conditions - morbid or otherwise. Their own lives are in the balance but they don't think beyond the end of their noses or bank accounts.
