Dumb writing by a 19 year old intern....maybe 20.
More beer for more loser drunks. Great. Thats what we need.
Just dont go to Folly Beach or your will be interned in a camp with blow up beach balls and then an endless loop of that idiot mayor speaking.
"...more salad than boozy."
But entirely bourgie.
Love it when our LOCALS make it cuz they earned it...
Saturday: Free admission to Chive on Charleston's 1st unofficial meetup! Max and Henry's on James Island. There will be music by Shonuff, food and drink specials ($1 shots anyone? That's practically free!), raffle packages with 100% proceeds going to Pet Helpers! And if you're too drunk to drive, local business, CoPilot Designated Drivers will also be onsite to help you make it home!! Hope to see you there!
What? Really, this is news? A couple yanks from NY making board shorts from plastic. Patagonia has been doing this for years. More intern bullshit reporting from the city paper.
"But, vendors, make it affordable, please."
The local retailers sell beer at a small mark-up, which is fairly reasonable compared to the distribution mark-up. The local guys also carry more varieties of local and general craft beer, which is something Sunoco will never have.
I talked to an employee at a local Sunoco, and he said each station now has a "beer supervisor" who's main job is to keep the growler stations full and fresh. He gets a few more bucks to be trained and in charge, and takes the responsibilities away from other managers. This will make for consistency in quality and, as you said, sanitizing of growler bottles which can grow some unique cultures when left out in the sun. In any case, buy local and support locals whenever possible. But, vendors, make it affordable, please.
"Sunoco and their Craft Brew stations"
Or you could support local businesses that sell these same beers in growler and bottle form. The local guys also do a better job of sanitizing your bottles and keeping their beer lines clean. Just a tip if you prefer buying local and getting better quality.
We were at the Beer Garden. Nice that the sun was not out, as heat and beer do not mix well after a few hours. I found the selections varied, all cold, and we did manage to try 6-7 different brews without becoming comatose. I hope it returns next year. What a great advertising event for Sunoco and their Craft Brew stations. Bet they notice an increase in sales after this event. By the way, if you only want to "try" a certain brew at Sunoco, they usually have the growler varieties in a bottle. Not quite as good as a draft, but gives you a chance to wander through brew forests and try different brands and styles. I know my draft puller's name, now, at my local Sunoco.
Re: “The NotWedding was not too shabby”
Useless comment from an apathetic asshole....maybe you should stop hiding behind your computer screen and contribute something to society like that "dumb 19 year old intern" does. Get a life.
