Re: “The fear industry fires up the right

A perfect display of the well known uninformed ignorance in our society. And they're proud of it. If you really want to know what's going on in our generation, read the Holy Bible. (KJV) Learn it's meaning as written! No man, no religion necessary. You'll be amazed at what is transpiring in our generation precisely as written. And in other news....Russia will attempt to nuke USA! Israel is in great danger. Just wake up people!! Watch watchmen, watch!

Re: “The fear industry fires up the right

So peaceful in fact that the Clinton campaign had to resort to 'birdogging' Trump rallies to get some violence for the news cameras to show how awful they really are. The fear machine has worked so well that a Clinton campaign headquarters was fire bombed----oh wait.... that was a TRUMP campaign office wasn't it? Fire bombed by all those peace loving leftists in Hillsborough who painted swastikas on a nearby building calling Trump and Republicans Nazis. I wonder if those young socialists will figure out that Nazi was an abbreviation for 'National Socialist?' Probably not. Lots of peace in the U.S., and the stats to prove it, until you get to the statistics that show the #1 cause of death amongst adult black males is not police shootings, but other black men; then we move along and call this the most violent nation on earth because that stat doesn't suit the narrative. And yes there is a disproportionate reaction to some deaths over others, such as the number of black men killed by cops in 2016 (194) vs. 1300 black babies die in abortion clinics every day. No one is outraged about that. And before anyone gets on their high horse about a white male Christian talking about abortion, remember the words of Dr. King: The Negro cannot win as long as he is willing to sacrifice the lives of his children for comfort and safety. How can the Dream survive if we murder the children? Every aborted baby is like a slave in the womb of his or her mother. The mother decides his or her fate." There's plenty of fear mongering going on from the left as well, as in the 'war on women,' or "they're going to put 'yall back in chains" (Joe Biden 2012) the greatest threat to mankind is global warming, and America is the biggest offender. And lets not forget the doublespeak; that somehow deceives people into voting for people who claim they'll fix the very problems they've caused. And the double standards: If ISlS had happened on the Busch watch, he would be blamed for allowing the greatest threat to humanity happen since the Third Reich, but whenever someone points out that it grew from the vacuum created by the Obama/Clinton policies, oh, that's just wrong, don't go there. If Trump took money from the Saudi's, that would be proof he's a bigoted woman hater who cozies up to leaders with massive human rights problems, but Hillary does it and it's no big deal. America isn't falling apart, but the GDP hasn't grown over 3 percent in 7 years, the poverty rate among African Americans has gone up, the ability to purchase your own home has gone down, health insurance is more costly than ever. But everything is fine, move along, nothing to see here vote for us and we'll fix it all for you. If there is a fear industry, I would also have to posit that there is an ignorance industry as well and plenty of people are benefitting from it.

Its easy to write an opinion piece. You do not have to prove anything you say.

Re: “Thomas Dixon gives us a choice

We need to ban companies from asking about the arrest or conviction history of prospective employees, except for jobs that require high security or jobs working with children. But for other jobs, people who left the prison and are trying to turn their lives around and not commit any more crimes, they need the opportunity to get the jobs and not be discriminated against. I am lucky that I was not influenced by bad people to be getting drunk or do other drugs, but other people are not that lucky. Lots of kids break the law in their teens or twenties, before they become wiser. And none of us are sinless, like who among us has not been in a fight as a child? So if we have not committed any crimes or misdemeanors, we are lucky, we have had good influences rather than bad influences. When bad kids become wiser adults, turn their lives around, they need jobs.

Thomas Dixon is a once in a lifetime candidate who would be real medicine for the ills which plague society and our legislative branch.

Re: “Thomas Dixon gives us a choice

Well said. I am very impressed with Pastor Dixon. He really listens, speaks very well on the issues I hold dear, is fearless. It takes so much courage for a good man or woman to run for office. He has studied all the issues well. He is a must for our state and nation. He has worked hard for this opportunity to serve! Lets give him that opportunity.

Re: “Thomas Dixon gives us a choice

I couldn't agree with your assessment of Thomas Dixon more. I have had the privilege of meeting him and getting to know him this past year, and I know without a doubt that he is an authentic man who is knows what it is like to try to live, work, and raise a family in SC. This is a man who will not forget us when he gets to Washington!
