Re: “Fake news and the miseducation of Dylann Roof

I'll have to agree with this article completely. Dylan Roof, no doubt has been miseducated, as well as under educated, but it doesn't excuse his actions. Information is like a two edge sword, and we now have an abundance of it. Some information is good and some is not. Each and everyone of us have to selectively learn to choose, from our sorce of information wisely.

Re: “Fake news and the miseducation of Dylann Roof

We need to make it perfectly clear that he don't regret what he did and we don't regret his punishment. If someone stands before the court and states he has no regrets for what he did to those people who showed him nothing but kindness and acceptance then he should not be granted any appeals and he should be put to death immediately.

Re: “Fake news and the miseducation of Dylann Roof

And this is precisely what has happened and continues to happen on the political front where fake news has brainwashed legions of people into thinking the Clinton's were corrupt, the Clinton Foundation was corrupt and trump is the second-coming of christ-almighty. Apparently the lack of common sense and logical thinking are used by the GOP to take advantage of those that don't want to try different channels to see that there ARE discrepancies and how logic (does it make sense) and independent reasoning plays a part in separating the discrepancies from the consistencies so they can figure out which channels are fake-based and which are fact-based.

How about we put poor Dylann in a rubber room and play impact statements for the rest of his life. Sorry for the inconvenience Dylann.

The only reason he hasn't tapped USSR leadership for White House jobs, is because you must be a citizen of the US to be appointed:

Re: “It's time to give up the carriage tour gimmick

I attended Miss Mason's School at 1 Meeting Street in 1965 and 1966. I will never forget the appropriately named Mr Wagner who was schlepping Charleston visitors by horse and carriage from South Battery at the foot of Meeting Street as he had been for years..

Re: “Charleston: The No. 1 city in the world for white people

Charleston is unaccustomed to and hates black people who defy stereotypes and know their rights as human beings. Charleston government, retailers, and grocery store managers use law enforcement to regulate segregation not enforce law. If black people in Charleston were to dine out, play tennis, surf at the beaches, go to the theaters and art gallerieses, shop at upscale organic grocers, and own and operate local events and newspapers such CCP, then Charleston would find a way to (and already does find ways to) segregate black people from those so called "white Charleston activities". Black people in Charleston weave sweet grass baskets because that is what Charleston segregates them to do. Charleston mandates that black people stay in their place as a silent beholden underclass. A commenter on this thread wrote "I grew up in West Ashley where blacks and whites lived side by side and went to school together. I remember as a child I didn't have enough money to buy something and a white man paid the difference. I've met many kind, caring and friendly white people". Well, segregation in schools is in fact illegal, a person can be racist and still give spare change to a needy black child, and it is humane, not remarkable, for human beings no matter what color they are to be kind and friendly people.

Re: “Confederate flag defender Chris Corley, facing domestic violence and gun charges, called for leaders with morals

Of course I condemn violent criminal behavior like this, any normal person would. It's not a left / right thing.

"But only one political party consistently makes an effort to be hypocritical in telling other people how to live their lives while engaging in the behaviors they publicly claim to abhor."

I'm not as hung up on this party thing as you are. I see low-quality people of all political persuasions doing what you described. We've got plenty around.
