It's not as good as Kate Moss looking at me from the current David Yurman billboard on the westbound side.

Re: “Pokémon Go: The good, the bad, and the Blastoise

ummm, I'm at the computer maybe 2 hours a day, how much time do you spend chasing Pokemon and other video games? And isn't it more, more sad that people are sitting in front of their computers complaining about people complaining about people...

Re: “The Agenda: Could bike lane help West Ashley?; Adoption scammers; Millions in S.C. affected by hacks

Kimpson, by-and-large, is entirely acceptable; that's the difference between him and Dwayne, ESQ.

Dwayne Green always has a transparent and self-serving agenda.

Plus, he has vanity plates that read "ESQ". What does that tell you about the man?

We don't care about your real estate, Jeff Cook.

You've hit the big time, though: a real estate agent on a billboard? Next thing we know, you'll be spending your hard-earned on a fucking Tag Heuer watch.

OK, so I read the Kimpson op-ed piece and here's my question:
Does Dwayne Green write Kimpson's stuff or does Kimpson write Greens?

Re: “The Agenda: Larger ships in Charleston Harbor; Police looking for potential rally instigator

Lee, sometimes you seem to know some things. Not many things, but at least a few things. Then you write stuff like that and I have to facepalm.

SC, via the duly elected representatives in our state legislature, voted to secede from the USA, thus becoming a sovereign nation, separate from the USA. At that time we were the Republic of South Carolina (our present state flag was originally created as the flag of the new nation) and then later became a part of the CSA when other states followed our lead. The USA invaded and the CSA was conquered.

Meanwhile BLM is a violent and racist movement openly motivating some black Americans to murder police, preferably white police. They're closest proxy is the KKK, though I am not aware of any KKK affiliated murders in recent decades. Nor am I aware of any BLM members who are or were US Senators, like Hillary's KKK buddy Senator Byrd (D).

But yeah, to repeat, if BLM or the KKK takes over control of the USA I am sure they will be heroes. Do you disagree?

Re: “The Agenda: Larger ships in Charleston Harbor; Police looking for potential rally instigator

'Mat - "You ever read much about the colonial revolution against Great Britain?"

Yes! I have. The lesson, from then to Turkey this week and every revolution in between, is that if you win you're a hero and if you lose you are traitor and might get hung.

If BLM can win, then they will be heroes'

Pretty cavalier opinion from someone that values the memory of the confederacy so dearly.

What, I wonder, could be the defining difference between BLM and Secesh?

Re: “The Agenda: Could bike lane help West Ashley?; Adoption scammers; Millions in S.C. affected by hacks

"revitalize West Ashley"
West Ashley was "vital" when it's business community reflected what the local consumers wanted, that's how things work.
You have a centralized population, businesses spring up to capitalize on it, it's a symbiotic relationship. Then the population mass begins to shift to a new area, and that one becomes more "vital." What has happened in West Ashley is the demographic that was courted by local businesses has moved and there is now a mismatch between WA residents and businesses. The best way to revitalize is to attract businesses that service the current population, not the one that lived there 30 years ago, otherwise WA is going to end up looking like Rivers Ave from 526 up to Trident Tech.
Now, if you're talking "revitalize" like Avondale, I would argue that Avondale is not "Vital", just popular. Vital would imply that the majority of the customers for VooDoo, Triangle, Mellow Mushroom, etal. all live in the Avondale community. I would believe that on any given Friday or Saturday night the vast majority of the patrons live somewhere other than Avondale, and the majority of the profit takers as well. I may be wrong and wouldn't mind seeing facts to show that, but until something concrete is shown, Popular not Vital.

Re: “Charleston County Council will consider resolution opposing assault weapons

Unarmed citizens stop mass shooters more than twice as frequently as armed citizens do, according to FBI studies. But mostly, mass shooters just get bored and wander off, or kill themselves.

Mostly, Good Guys With Guns either end up killing themselves in a moment of weakness, family members in a moment of anger, or strangers in a moment of confusion.

Most Bad Guys With Guns were Good Guys With Guns until they decided to cause harm.

Guns are a blight on public safety and have no place in a modern, developed society.

Re: “Charleston County Council will consider resolution opposing assault weapons

Yes unfortunately we have become such a litigious society I would be worried about my family being ruined by a lawsuit. If we had more people who cared about their families over anything else we would live in safer better society. You sure do nit pick, I bet you play devils advocate every chance you get. Your friends probably love it.

Re: “Charleston County Council will consider resolution opposing assault weapons

So in the scenario where you're the good guy with the gun, you'll have legal issues going through your head, and they'll prevent you from pulling your weapon?

We deserve a better hero than you.

Re: “Charleston County Council will consider resolution opposing assault weapons

I was referring to a hypothetical person at the Dallas shooting. Most people pocket carry .380 today. Good or bad round it is very popular. I don't what the cop was carrying, wasn't really my point. The sad part is if the cop accidentally shot someone in the club during the assault he would have been sued.
