Comparing a racial slur to mispronouncing Adjehi? That's a stretch. Whatever it takes to get in on the linsanity, huh?
Nice article - Roo needs to play as intimidating on the court as he looks in that picture!
Agreed. He missed two layups from point blank range within the last minute or so. Cougs let that one slip away.
Side note: Drew's officially a Laker!
Nice article - You are dead on calling out Wiedeman... we need him to step up. Give him time though, he's still young and I think by the end of the season he'll be there for us.
Let's Go Cougars!! Great Writeup Love our boys Ballin in the city!
Enjoyed your coverage of the tournament, especially since my Wildcats won it!
Jaxx,
I stand corrected. As a wife and mother of 2 jocks, I also found Ryan's coverage entertaining. In addition, I think readers have to support writers trying to make a name for themselves in a dying industry. Most parents would agree its not easy paying off student loans while your grads aren't making much more than minimum wages these days. Sadder still, they are the lucky ones that have a job.
"Jaxx if you think describing a layup in 50 words is boring how about the game itself."
Where did I say anything about boring? I think you missed a key word...missed. Don't lump my post with these other haters'. I thought the article was entertaining. Juvenile, but entertaining none the less, just never seen a missed lay-up described in such detail.
Mr. McBurney maybe you shouldn't put down a North Broad education until you learn how to spell. What is your educational background? While I agree spectator conduct is not what it should be, is not the fault of this journalist. Btw daytonhawk, I think Ryan Overhiser has already become a journalist if your reading his article and criticizing it!! Jaxx if you think describing a layup in 50 words is boring how about the game itself...bouncing a ball and shooting it through a net for 2.5 hours may need a little spicing up. If you don't like a twist on covering sports, just read the stats and scores. Buy a Readers Digest and enjoy it on the toilet then you can flush your hateful comments down the bowl......
hey kid, don't let anyone dictate your style. Call um like you see um. Fans will like your stuff or they won't. I am one fan that likes it and look forward to reading your style. Keep it comin.
Wow, these hawks fans are sensitive. Too bad they can't spell or compose a sentence. Lighten up a little, if you want serious sports journalism, try espn.com (or in each of your cases, SIKids.com).
Ryan O. keep up the good work, I'm enjoying your coverage of the tournament. Go Wildcats!
Kevin McBurney i would love to yell at your wife or child and then spit in your face....Get over its a college sporting event this is what happens. Your a joke take your old ass home.
Oh yes, allow me to give you my name and nickname
Mark Cautin

Well this is an interesting article. You will never be a journalist, Never. You don't have the intelligence or the objectivity to become a professional. Good luck cleaning the streets and collecting garbage. Oh that is what you already do , collect garbage
You are such a jerk ... You will never be a journalist... Never. Journalist are intelligent.
50 words to describe a missed lay-up. That's got to be a first.
freedom of the press, but only for you, eh? gutlees
FlappinHawk
"...I was wildly inebriated and yelling obscenities at mothers and young children wearing St. Joe's apparel, all the while treading the thin line of acceptable conduct at a college sporting event..." -- it's obvious your North Broad education didn't teach you that yelling at mothers & young children is well beyond the pale when it comes acceptable conduct anytime/anywhere in life.
Like the rest of today's state run mdeia, it's nice to see you are follwoing in their foot steps and being "objective".
FlappinHawk aka Kevin McBurney hoping one day to hear you yell at my wife and kids
Re: “ESPN Blows it Again”
Terrible article. Crave attention much? That's all the racial screams are about!
