Just like last year and this year, I will bring this up every year you win Best Deli unless you enact rightful, just change.
I guarantee that.
One would think so.
It's definitely greedy and selfish. I know for a FACT that it happens. The owner/manager responsible for doing it is named Dan. I'm not going to provide his last name.
If anyone doubts me, ask one of the workers at the register the next time you're there if they receive the gratuities from the "Tip" line on electronic payments or not. You will see that I'm not telling a lie.
Isn't that illegal?

Something has been brought to my attention: East Bay Deli employees have informed my best friend that the manager of the restaurant pockets the gratuities from all credit card and debit card transactions; so, be aware that this selfishness diverts all your well-meaning electronic tips from the rightful hands of the servers and staff directly into the accounts of management.
In my opinion, this greedy practice must come to an end.
Bullshit. The pub is Johns Island's best bar. Hell, it's Charleston's best bar.

What is happening? Simple. They weren't attracting enough customers to make a good profit. Rule #1 with any retail - evolve or die. (see: Sears, J.C. Penny, Radio Shack)
And now Pit Stop Deli is closed. What is the happening to these awesome local places around campus?!?
This place is always good. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Even when I'm sober its good.
Congratulations to Dexter and Nicole Haigler (owners) and to all the girls and guys in the kitchen that prepare all their good food...Thanks to all the wait staff for serving that great food to us customers with SMILES and making it a fun place to eat.Alot of great food Breakfast-Lunch & Dinner:) Don't forget the home made desserts !!!

Drunken singing may be fun, but drunken people usually are not. Not at all.
Corned Beef made on premises, heated, is THE best within 500+ mi .. Blended with Pastrami the Fat Boy Sandwich is difficult to stop ordering time and again. Italian Omelette any time of day -- but especially toasted as a wedge is just what any hungry person wants at breakfast. Homemade fresh lemonade flavors including peach, raspberry & blackberry are superb. The hot Reuben sandwich is another easy addiction -- but can't deny the special hot 'n spicy "Jerk" is very unusual & is great at home with an ice cold Bud -- but make mine a Bass Ale .. The leader of this well-run deli, Shannon Campbell, is an amiable guy who really aims to please .. It's very obvious the staff he's put together have the same positive attitude. Everything is sooo very fresh, which if you come in at 6am sharp you'd know for sure because the boss is demonstrating his magical productivity at prepping a lot of those creamy deli salads. What's truly amazing also are the homemade quiche pies they make,
often reflecting 3-4 different daily flavors. Homemade Soups are frequently made & some are amazing like the Carrot-Ginger Bisque, Broccoli-Cheddar, New England Clam Chowder, & Potato-Leek. Reportedly they offer cold Gazpacho & selected cold Fruit Soup in the warm months. Where they sourced their half sour pickles is a well kept secret, but they are THE BEST way beyond 500+ miles ! If you try, you'll be hooked as is the loyal following which crowds this place EVERY DAY .. Smart is to call in your order then pickup at/before 11:30a .. When a patron sees then bites into a Mozzo sandwich, that "central plump" + fresh flavor is very addictive. Yum !
Charleston just isn't a BBQ town
Hometeam wings are enough to win any contest in our area. That said, pulled pork at The BBQ Joint is pretty amazing.
