I have a home in the Charleston area and have come to know Raphael on air as well as in person and I can tell you he is the real deal. Along with calm, confident and warm I would add one more thing.. integrity. The reason we like watching him is because he is thoroughly likable, when the light is on and when it is not.
Congratulations, Christina! So excited for you!
Congrats !!! x
Congratulations, Christina!!! I'm glad I got to meet you before you get too famous. Someday I'll be able to say, "I knew her when..."
YAY! thanks to everyone who voted for me! :)
Joan is one amazing ball of loving energy. Her eye and her imagery add to "the collective stock of reality" in the life of the Lowcountry. Thrilled to see her getting this award! http://www.charlestonarthistory.com
Finally, someone said it! What really makes no sense is the City of Charleston's presence on James Island. And they're the ones fussing about too many layers of government! Charlie is great and the best part of it is we get to vote, too. Let this be the last term because the fat lady is singing.
Sweet! Congrats to News 2. You guys Rock!
yeah hatz you rock
Mary Clark makes Joe Riley look GOOD.
Glad I live on James Island; even happier that we joined the city of Charleston after the JIPSD debacle after Hurricane Hugo!
Joan is a treasure and Charleston is lucky to have her!
she's an angel. i've witnessed it firsthand. that woman has the patience and poise of a saint. and she totally rocks.
birnbach was ROBBED all those years... lucky portland.
I live in James Island in the City of Charleston. I am very glad I live in the city, not the rinky dinky town. Much better services, and support, living in the City of Charleston. 60% of James island is the city, and soon 100% of James island will be city of Charleston I hope!
Slivers of James Island? Those slivers, and their population, consist of at least half of James Island.
Like it or not, James Island is a town and is going to stay that way.
What really makes no sense is the City of Charleston's presence here.
Well deserved! Joan's blog is amazing and well worth the daily read!
way to go andy!
