Thanks so much Chas City Paper! We are diggin' reppin' our Park Circle hood in style! #wearlocal
Weird. How are there multiple identical sweaters in the store if they're vintage/unique? Looks like reproductions/fake vintage to me. JS.
The $10 is a fundraiser for a non profit group - something Connelly completely forgot to mention-oops. They should've mentioned this and told y'all a little bit about this fantastic group, whose own Jamee Haley won the 2016 South Carolina Ambassador for Economic Development. This group is really trying to do something for our small business owners. Instead of lamenting the loss of all our small Mom and Pop businesses we should all be turning out in droves for this event. Do your Holiday shopping early, get it done this weekend. Also of utmost importance to me....will The Cake Farmer be there? Just look at that cake.... a work of art and those pies.....
If you want us to buy local why charge us to get in this event. I could spend that $ on a local vendor at the event.
"Furniture with a soul"? Where's it made? Is it made here in the USA or is it perhaps made overseas by cheap child labor and people who work for indentured servant wages?
So the Nadeau that clung on for a number of years in West Ashley was a figment of my over-active imagination?
yippee! trader joes made of wood. don't you soccer moms ever get tired of being so...i don't know?...white women in Mt P with more FB friends than lives? so vapid. so self involved. it's a dresser honey. it won't give you an orgasm.
There should be an award for "Best Marketing of a Regional Identity".
"NOTHING IN THE UNIVERSE IS FREE".
Even with all this pomp and bullshit, jeans and a plain t-shirt is still a universal style.
Fashion Week, you are changing the world!
I wear clothes and stuff. Love me.
Love this! So ready for everything this week at Charleston Fashion Week!
SXCHS would love for you to attend some (if not all!) of our events this week, and spread even more inspiration for design, in spirit of fashion week! We will be hosting a wide variety of daily events, including fashion shows and live photo shoots, in spirit of fashion week, and invite all to join!
Please check it out, and we really hope to see you there! ~
I love this.
Thanks for the AMAZING article! For those interested. We are here above Juanita's indefinitely. No longer a pop up, but permanent. Please come and see us! Mary Norton
Hahahaha. Exactly Ron. It just does not get any more bland upscale hipster heaven in the entire state of SC than this. I attended with the family - It was pretty boring. The XC90 luxury seven seat SUV and V60 all-road Cross Country! A must have for all of us Ron. We can all cross country trek in style, because, really, who would actually like to be in the elements (bugs, humidity, nature) when one can be ensconced in a superior quality luxury volvo and just look at it thru the window in comfort. Why, we can even all wear our lands end duck boots without ever getting them dirty and carry our unassembled curly maple stock guns in our Frye Logan leather satchels! Thank God for this event, my wallet was getting waaaayyyy too heavy, its a hell of a lot lighter now.
Nauseating and pathetic. Garden&Gun is Gatsby. And the Mercury is Nick Carraway, not man enough to say no to moneyed creeps.
"How did the Swedish auto brand make it into the Made in the South Weekend?"
I'm guessing the organizers thought "this event isn't white enough, how can we make it whiter?"
"got lost shopping in H&M, nearly missed my boat back to my Rotary Exchange host family in Finland. Most terrifying day of my life."
You haven't had a very difficult life, have you?
goodkaramsc, the media breakfast was invitation only.
