Fellow Democrats, support Bernie or risk losing the general election this year. Why?
Fellow Democrats, we are GENUINE progressives pledged to either write-in Bernie Sanders in the general election or vote Green if he is not the Party nominee. Why would we do this?
We will not accept another Wall Street-backed candidate for President. While we want a woman in the White House, the United States needs a political revolution to bring an end to our plutocracy which is a government by and for wealthy people. Therefore, we cannot and will not vote for Hillary Clinton, an untrustworthy establishment candidate funded by billionaires.
If you support anyone but Senator Sanders in the primaries or caucuses, you will divide Democrats, and you will be on your own in the general election. Let's not have a repeat of the disastrous 2000 election.
We must #UniteBehindBernie, an honest and principled Senator, or you'll risk having Donald Trump or Senator Cruz nominating the next Supreme Court judges.
Hillary is universally unpopular amongst the young?
According to this Republican pollster, she is less popular than Bernie but more popular than anybody else in the race.:
And BTW, it's easy to see who the trolls are; they pop up out of nowhere and only comment on one subject.
Fellow Democrats: We are GENUINE progressives pledged to either write in Bernie Sanders or vote Green in the general election, unless he's the Party nominee. We refuse to support another Wall Street-backed Democrat. The un-electable Secretary Clinton is almost the same as voting Republican: hawkish, pro-corporate and not worthy of trust. Remember Ralph Nader? We can't risk having a declared Republican appoint the next Supreme Court judges, so let's #UniteBehindBernie, an honest candidate with integrity.

"Hillary is universally unpopular amongst the youth and independents two demographics you need to win a general election"
Independents for sure, and centrists/independents determine every national race.
Youth? Not so much, every election it's "oh the youth are going to come out and change everything" but it never happens.
So the question is will she be more unpopular amongst independents by general election time than Donald Trump?
Shoot yourself in the foot, why doncha'
If you support Bernie and you won’t support Hillary Clinton then let the DNC know that by signing this petition. Better to let them know now while something can be done. Hillary is universally unpopular amongst the youth and independents two demographics you need to win a general election, plus she has a 57%disapproval rating. Republicans are voting in far greater numbers this year because Trump brought a lot of new people into the process. If Hillary wins the nomination not Only will Trump be the next president but he will have super majorities in the house and the senate. If the democrats wont nominate a candidate with real values then we are all going to lose.
Chris Haire is a misguided, leftist ideolog, completely IGNORANT of history and out of touch with reality. Chris is one messed up, goofy butt wipe.
Chris Haire is a misguided, leftist ideolog, completely IGNORANT of history and in denial of reality. A real goofy ass hat.
Typical hypocrisy yet again..
Why in the world, would you care one iota what the Pope says about anything?? Christians get attacked regularly by many posters on here...but now suddenly when the Pope says something derogatory about a republican well now its valid??
i could careless what the pope says about anything.
See there are conservatives that are atheists as well... i know..
.. busts your narrow views, huh?
Mr. Trump before you make statements about the Pope get your facts straight the wall around the Vatican was built over 1100 years ago to keep out the Saracens but today there are many completely open gates accessible to all and the Mexicans didn't build any part of it or was forced to pay for it. Being a good Catholic I can only hope you get what you truly deserve and the White House is not one of my wishes for you.
Trump is a fool & a boor. Unless you compare him with the other Republican candidates, at which time he becomes relatively intelligent and a near gentleman.
Perhaps.... but, the old expression "I'm largely mis-informed and I vote!" still rings true. ALL politicians twist the truth to fit themselves
D TRUMPS ANSWER TO THE ILLEGAL ALIEN INVASION AND THE THEFT OF YOUR JOBS AND CITIZEN ENTITLEMENTS.
The illegal alien invasion of the United States has been condoned by both political parties in one way or another and the only possibility of stopping it, is voting for Donald Trump. According to his first day in the White House Trump under the questioning of Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama, a strict Representative to end the illegal immigration travesty. It should be remembered Buying Donald Trump to pass amnesty or a pathway to citizenship or more special visas, for cheap labor from foreign countries is impossibility. That's why wealthy contributors and special interests hate the man. Currently Trump is in front of the campaign and showing great strides in Nevada (Silver State) and South Carolina (Palmetto State).
President Obama has ripped the voting floor from under Congress, and passed overreaching laws and significantly intensified the surges of illegal alien families. Until something is done this situation is going to get worse. This administration has put the 'blinders' on the US Border Patrol who are only allowed now to process and release illegal aliens into our country. A report from The Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) recently found and analyzed a Honduran survey that showed that the increase of Honduran migrants to the U.S. is being caused by economic issues, not violence as the Obama administration has claimed and turning up on the border, with ever increasing numbers. With a 19 Trillion budget deficit, there should be no easy access to our sovereign nation, especially when illegal alien families are issued Social services and other benefits owing to the number of children brought into our country relevant to the misinterpreted birthright citizenship amendment. Trump will remove the threat of the illegal aliens with the wall, entry/exit bio scanning and mandatory E-Verify
Something Trump has established from the beginning of the debates is building a gigantic one thousand mile wall, whereas the others have been silent on the subject or Cruz who has suddenly piped-up about constructing a fence. On Trumps list of essentials is a nationwide implementation of mandated E-Verify with an army of agents to enforce it. Profiteer business owners will be held accountable for using cheap foreign workers, instead of citizens and lawful immigrants.
Sen. Ted Cruz cannot excuse himself from the undeniable fact he supported the 'Gang of Eight' to pass illegal alien amnesty along with Marco Rubio. And jeb Bush a critical part of the professional class in the Republican Party, who will do anything for his SUPER PAC's. Ohio Gov. John Kasich said Sunday that he backs a path to legal status for undocumented immigrants in the U.S., stating that many of the roughly 12 million plus undocumented immigrants living in America "contribute a lot" to the country. YES! They do a lot? Exhaust federal, state and locale treasuries of money that should be going to our Veterans, Senior Citizens and millions of genuine citizens and permanent residents. Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson said he would seal the U.S.-Mexico border by cutting all benefits that he says attracts illegal immigration And now known criminal acts hidden from public view by government and mainstream press.
Trump Responds to Sen. Sessions' Immigration/Trade Candidate Question in a interview on Tue, Feb 9th 2016 @ 1:42 pm EST. Read Trump’s full answers in Breitbart News.
Breitbart News reports Donald Trump provided answers to a list of fundamental questions that Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., posed for those seeking the GOP nomination. Sen. Sessions said his questions concerning immigration and trade was important enough that “the voters should say, ‘If you’re not going to be right on those, I’m not voting for you in this primary and I’m not going to vote for you as president.’”
Trump is the first candidate to respond to Sen. Sessions’ questions so far. Breitbart provides his full, unedited answers but the following are excerpts:
Question 1: How would you vote (or how did you vote) on fast-track, and would you support or oppose advancing a final trade agreement which enters the United States into a new international commission with binding authority on future United States trade policy?
ANSWER: I was steadfastly opposed to giving Obama his Fast-Track powers, and would have absolutely voted against it…Congress, apparently under the magical spell of donors, gave massive new powers to a President who has repeatedly abused his authority. The other candidates in this race actually fought on Obama’s side to give him more power to abuse.
Question 2: If the vote on the Trans-Pacific Partnership was held today, and you had a vote to cast in Congress, would you vote for it or against it?
ANSWER: I have strongly and consistently opposed the TPP. (Trans Pacific Partnership) For decades, I have warned about how our terrible trade deals are killing the middle class. We are getting taken to the cleaners...What our incompetent leaders don’t understand is that the United States holds all the cards. Other countries need access to our markets. Yet we refuse to use that leverage, and we negotiate one terrible job-killing deal after another.
Question 3: Upon entering office, will you promptly and unconditionally terminate and rescind all of President Obama’s illegal executive amnesties – which provide work permits and entitlements to illegal aliens – including President Obama’s first executive amnesty in 2012, which remains in effect?
ANSWER: I will immediately cancel both of President Obama’s illegal executive amnesties, and all other unconstitutional executive orders. After my inauguration, for the first time in decades, Americans will wake up in a country where their immigration laws are enforced.
Question 4: A supermajority of GOP voters say immigration is too high. Every year, on autopilot, we let in another one million immigrants on green cards, 700,000 foreign guest workers, half a million foreign students, and 100,000 refugees and asylees. Historical precedent would be to reduce record-breaking immigration, rather than continuing to surge it beyond all historical precedent. Will you support legislation to reduce immigration numbers, and will you oppose legislation that would add to the number?
ANSWER: I will support legislation to reduce the numbers, and will oppose legislation to increase the numbers. I have laid out a detailed plan to accomplish this goal on my website. My suggested reforms include a requirement to give all open jobs to Americans first — instead of importing foreign replacements.

Just you wait South Carolina - dirty tricks are coming to town in the name of Hillary Clinton. She will do and say anything she thinks you want to hear to get your vote. Every other day more and more detrimental information is coming out about her and her emails, private server, their Foundation, her aide Huma Abedin and then there is Brian Pagliano who set up her email server who took the 5th Amendment - people do that for a very good reason. The FBI is building a rock solid strong concrete case against Hillary Clinton so her lawyers can't get her off on some technicality. The TRUTH will be known very soon. 2/12/16
RE: The P&C, exactly, Mat. And I have wondered why the CP has not taken them to task over it. There has been an obvious editorial shift in tone on development issues since the P&C ownership became a de facto developer, and it's disgraceful.
The Post and Courier regularly prints editorials about development without making full disclosure that their parent company includes a real estate interest.
You left off the "p.s. GET THE HELL OFF MY LAWN, HOOLIGAN!"
I appreciate Chris' Swiftian "modest proposal", but this whole tragicomic affair highlights the problems with Mount Pleasant, the town that can't shoot straight. Even the newly-minted Saver council members can't avoid dick trippery in the name of do-gooding. I don't know what was more ham-handed, the surprise placement of the appraisal issue on the meeting agenda, or the potentially pugilistic pop-up parking lot presser. On the latter, I love how the P&C (now curiously pro-development since its owners decided to develop their old downtown office) amped-up the alleged fisticuffs, when video from the altercation circulated later showed no such antics. Oh well, just another day here in the simmering cauldron of self-interest we call South Carolina.
Cable, satellite & broadcast channels are numerous alternatives to the lousy Coldplay act without a break to introduce the next "artist" so I surfed news weather & movie channels... as for the idiot writer above pretending Panthers were not ready for Denver ..... most players RELY UPON EXTRA DAYS TO HEAL & prepare. ...Newton was rushed. ..overthrew receivers & was sacked so many times I was not surprised our Charlotte neighbors lost in California after losing to lowly Atlanta the cats were not invincible. ..I pick THE BILLS next season & could care less who the NFC Super Bowl opponents may be
