Re: “Charleston Fashion Week: Day 1

Hey i'm currently a high school junior interested in volunteering for CFW. I do NOT believe this is supposed to be some imitation of Bryant park. NY isnt the only place where fashion is huge. I believe CFW can make a name for itself. i actually know this because i was born in NY!! anyways im really excited to learn about the fashion industry since that is the career path i chose. It looks Legit and pretty exclusive if you ask me :) Cant wait!

Re: “VIDEO: Stiletto Stampede

Actually TS you should read the rules. Nowhere does it say the inside of the heel. So I did a google search. How to measure a heels height? http://www.xheels.com/how_to_measure_high_heels_height.php It seems you don't know how to measure your heels properly.

Re: “VIDEO: Stiletto Stampede

Jeremy - those were NOT 3" if measured from the inside, as the rules stated. They were 2.5 - 2.75" AT BSET. I know because I measured 40 pairs of my own high heels - all taller than his - to find very few which met the requirement. His were not regulation.

Re: “VIDEO: Stiletto Stampede

I feel the term "Stiletto" is misleading. There are 3 inch pumps and platforms that make for easier running... but they aren't stilettos. One definition for "stiletto" reads: "stiletto refers to a type of shoe heel that is pointy, thin and high. Also called "spike" or "spiked" heels." The winner's heels were no neither pointy nor thin. This is the first year for the event. I hope the event coordinators will be more clear and vigilant with the rules they create.

Re: “VIDEO: Stiletto Stampede

I agree with the idea that there should have been 2 heats-one for the men and one for the women. I had a fun time, but I know I was confused on a lot of issues while preparing as did one of my friends who also ran. I think if they have it next year that the rules should be a little more clear.

Re: “VIDEO: Stiletto Stampede

Actually, the winners shoes were 3 inches, they were measured. The heel was the size of a quarter and were approved. The shoes were also taped to his feet but as you can see in the pics so were the heels of others because this was allowed. You should not comment if you do not know the facts.
