Wooo! That Groundhog day picture is by Leslie McKellar
This was a fabulous show from a fan from day one!
This radio station is a God-send
This is legit all I want for Christmas.
Great guy and a new venue for all
Cruising Down the Doo-Wop Lane is at 8 PM on Fridays, followed by Noodle's "Swing Shift" at 9 PM
Really uncool of him to do that. Not very artisanal
Really uncool of him to do that. Ungrateful
I can remember when North Charleston cancelled the Snoop concert back in the day.
"All Lives Matter!"
If all lives matter, then black lives matter. Which is the whole point of the movement. Glad you agree.
vivaladreamer said, "There is an erroneous perception in the community that BLM is anti-police".
That is laughable. Wake up lady! Either you have no idea what is going on in your own supposed moment or you are not very smart. Nicest way I can say it.
Another reason venues don't want hip hop culture is because they don't make any money off the crowd. Ask anybody that owns a bar or music venue. Go ahead and ask
It's CRYSTAL clear this event was singled out by CPD due to its connection to Black Lives Matter. There is an erroneous perception in the community that BLM is anti-police, and its obvious the powers that be at CPD subscribe to that flawed way of thinking. This was a way for Captain Searson and the department to flex their muscles and head BLM off at the pass. Period.
Additionally, to use circumstantial evidence from a completely different event, featuring a completely unrelated group of artists, presented by a completely different group of promoters to justify "safety concerns" for this event is both discriminatory and egregious.
CPD would do well to stop crimininalizing black folks and the Music Farm would do well to stop simultaneously poaching and marginalizing hip hop culture.
All Lives Matter!
If they aren't worried about "safety concerns" why should the CPD? Sounds to me instead of saying CPD helped to make them safe, they are saying the police made up reasons to keep them from having their concert. By all means... Let them have the concert and when the shooting begins, lets all meet for coffee and cake and they can take care of themselves.
You are doing yourself a disservice if you skip this album. Trust me. Not like when The Donald says "trust me," but actually trust me. He opened a show for us at the Windjammer last year, just him alone on that big stage, sitting with his lap steel listening to jaws hit the floor.
"Privilege" is how white liberals explain their own racist tendencies to each other.
What's with the excessive use of the word "privilege" ?
Well, so glad I DID NOT buy tickets in advance because I no longer plan to attend!! I'm sorry, but the North Charleston Coliseum SUCKS!! The sound quality inside that crappy little arena is HORRIBLE and unless you're too big to miss (i.e. PHISH) I refuse to waste the money!! The last time I saw Panic there you couldn't hear anything other than a jumbled collection of noise. Back when they moved that all-day fest with Panic & Yonder from outside at Patriots Point to inside at the coliseum I made the decision I wouldn't waste my time or money going to a show there ever again!! Sorry folks, but that place SUCKS!!
I think it's time that Charleston gets with the program and provides us with BOTH a good indoor & outdoor venue!!
I just found out about Nik. He was always a good guy to me. And Donna, I am so very sorry to just hear about his passing.
Rest in peace Nik.
Josh Roberts and the hinges are best original band in Charleston, Josh is the best guitarist for 500 miles, guaranteed.
