Re: “Stegelin: Whither gun control?

If 20 elementary school kids in body bags didn't do anything to change our backwards, perverted obsession with guns, then nothing will. We just have to come to terms with the fact that in the supposed greatest country on Earth, insecure, angry men with first world problems just need to vent sometimes.

Re: “Stegelin: A look at Bernie Sanders

You whacked out conservatives are so pathetic you can't even laugh at yourself. That is why it is impossible to have a rational discussion with conservatives. Misinformed, dishonest and intolerant of any position that does not match lock step with what you are told to believe, that is the sad state of conservatives in this country and why you are all so pissed off all of the time.

You whacked out leftists are so pathetic you can't even laugh at yourself. That is why it is impossible to have a rational discussion with liberals. Misinformed, dishonest and intolerant of any position that does not match lock step with what you are told to believe, that is the sad state of liberals in this country and why you are all so pissed off all of the time.

"You don't necessarily need a choice of 23 underarm spray deodorants or of 18 different pairs of sneakers when children are hungry in this country." Bernie Sanders showing his twisted beliefs about economics. The politics of greed and envy, you can't be successful on your own so you have to take from people that are. Or as you leftists like to put it, level the playing field. Everybody gets a trophy is all well and good but then the trophy is only worth something to the people making them.

Look in the mirror, make a stupid face and laugh at yourself every so often. Sometimes a joke is just a joke.

"Yes but only the colors that were approved by the government after they decided which ones should be available for use."

You know, it's ironic that you guys are totally against 'government regulation' when it dictates and enforces equal civil rights, but have no problem with the government interfering in the sexual and marital matters of consenting same-sex couples, or dictating what a woman can or cannot do with a non-living collection of cells within her uterus.

The inanity you display is truly staggering.

If Sanders were a socialist, some of these comments might be funny.

We got the Patriot Act and the unprecedented expansion of the NSA under a Republican administration. But in your world the the person who has, on record, opposed the Patriot Act and the NSA's overreach will somehow be the big government loving freedom killer. Sounds about right.

"There are too many colors in this. Bernie would find that excessive and a sign of over consumption of color and have the government restrict it to just primary colors."

Hur hur hur.

Actually, Bernie would want to eliminate the distinction between primary and secondary colors, ensuring all colors enjoyed a legitimate level playing field.

Re: “Stegelin: KKK at the Statehouse, in three acts

So are you saying conservative whites aren't concerned about 'peaceful resistance'
when it's conservative whites resisting? Do please cite an example of what the heck you are talking about.

I'm a liberal white, and I'm concerned about large groups of people going mad on the streets and turning on lone people, becoming a mob of sadistic cowards...white, black or yellow. I believe in freedom (Legalize Marijuana!) and I believe that the laws are wrongly established to ensure that more blacks than whites are in jail and I don't like it....but I also believe in law and order. The members of a mob should be rounded up and punished.

When was the last time you saw conservative whites gang beating a minority then blogging how it was "the right thing to do", or laughing about it online in large numbers? And then have the press not even discuss it, let alone even report on it even though it happened in the shadow of the State House?

Did the murder of the Emmanuel 9 evoke this kinda of behavior? NO! Again, it seemed to bring the black and white communities closer together.

And typically the fellows attached to their guns seem to be more afraid of the government than blacks.

And if I don't call them blacks, then what term do I use? African-American? PAH! You're either an American or not. Get with the program.

Re: “Stegelin: KKK at the Statehouse, in three acts

You know, conservative whites are only concerned about 'peaceful resistance' when it comes to minorities.

Otherwise, they wouldn't be so attached to their goddamned guns in order to fight the redcoats or 'blacks' (as you put it) or whatever.

Re: “Stegelin: KKK at the Statehouse, in three acts

Jaxx,

I wish I knew the context of this incident and the one I witnessed. I don't.

But being a human being, the context of a gang-beating is to some point irrelevant. When 20-30 people chase a single man and then 4+ people hit and kick him (regardless of race) they are cowards committing a crime, in my book. End of story.

I still wonder why and who allowed these two groups to assemble on the same day and in the hottest part of a very hot day. And then post the image of a helpful black state trooper and Sousaphone serenades...yet fail to report in any detail whatsoever about the violence surrounding this event. Odd.

Warwit,
Funny observation about the failure to plan their exit, but with the hundred or so law enforcement surrounding the state house and general area, law enforcement people should have planned for it. The gang beating I saw was about 30 feet from 4-5 mobile units and at least 10 officers. Remember the old poster, "Sleep tight tonight, your Air Force is awake"?

Being a human being, I have sympathy for any one person being beset upon by a group of cowardly thugs. (Well, unless he was caught hurting a child, sexually or otherwise.)

Leemajors,
Would you have our heritage of slavery, segregation and lynching replaced by another group chasing down and gang beating a lone person, then bragging about it like they had done something noble? That kind of plan might backfire on you.

I would rather see a peaceful unification. Stop the hatred, stop the Injustice, stop the poverty.

The violence demonstrated by blacks at the rally, set things back. That is not the way to solve the racial problem.

"I don't understand how anyone can have sympathy for idiots who are literally proud to call themselves Nazis and get a beating for it."

Because in the eyes of our vocal fascist majority, white people are the REAL victims.

The racist bible-beating, gun-toting assholes in this state make me want to fucking puke. Fuck our heritage of slavery, segregation and lynching.

Re: “Stegelin: KKK at the Statehouse, in three acts

The full story as far as I can tell is that those brash KKK geniuses didn't account for the fact that they have to walk back to the parking lot after spewing all their hate.

I don't understand how anyone can have sympathy for idiots who are literally proud to call themselves Nazis and get a beating for it.

Neither does your link. What happened leading up to that clip? A little context goes a long way.

Re: “Stegelin: KKK at the Statehouse, in three acts

Warwit, I received no beating, and am not a Klan member and I provoked nothing and got nothing that was coming to me since there was nothing DUE to come to me. I'm a 60 y/o greybeard on a cane. I know what I saw and it was wrong. What I saw was entirely different from what we saw here in Charleston. Look at the comments on that link and you can make your own conclusions about the event. It's got nothing to do with me. I am somewhat flummoxed that the media is not reporting the full story. The Truth Is Out There!

So quit trying to make my communications something that they are not and remember, two wrongs do not make a right.

Re: “Stegelin: KKK at the Statehouse, in three acts

SunKing, you're pretty distraught over that beating you received. I would suggest that you not attend future KKK rallies if this is an issue for you. Your cries of injustice are falling on deaf ears since you openly provoked Columbia's "knockout game" community and got what was coming to you.
