Re: “Stegelin: First socialized healthcare, now marriage?

First, ban them from all political and news
webs so they cannot even speak in their own
defense. Then disenfranchise them, as in the
2008 rejection of white voter rights in Michigan
and Florida, so they cannot defend themselves
politically, legally. Then you migrate
foreigners by the millions to displace them,
economically. Finally, you disarm them so they
cannot defend themselves, physically.

I do believe The Right Reverend Jeremy Wright's
exorcism of the White Devil from America is
proceeding quite nicely. The Democrat ethnic
cleansing of America is almost complete. This
looks like a page out of Hitler's political
playbook.

I think we should declare January 20th of every
year to be a federal holiday, celebrating the
White Man's holocaust in America.

Re: “Stegelin: First socialized healthcare, now marriage?

So when someone can't get a job, healthcare (because of pre-existing conditions), and has to rely on the welfare program of the state and nation it's "being lazy". When the gov't gets involved to try to get better opportunities for said people, it's called socialism. Is there anything you approve of that the gov't can do for the people besides "getting out of the way"? Marriage equality is a far cry from socialism. It's civil rights and for a brush up in history, read Brown vs. Board of Education, some Martin Luther King Jr. and.......o what's that book called? Oh yeah.......The Bible. And don't give me that "homosexuality is a sin bulls#$t". Cause it's not. Doing wrong and judging your neighbor before loving them (The Golden Rule) is a sin. Deadly sins mentioned: wrath, envy, pride, and greed. What deadly sins do people / citizens in love commit? Lust? No, my friend. They bleed, love, cry, mourn, and share all other human emotions. It's time to start treating everybody with dignity under the law. Or else we are no different than Morsi and extremists in other parts of the world. Traditions can be traditions. You hold them dear to your heart so keep them there. That's where they matter most. Not when they are shoved down other people's throats with bitterness, anger, and fear.

Re: “Stegelin: Taking up arms for gun control

In all of these gun related threads, you'll read two prominent decries... you will have a liberal shouting that the Bill of Rights is outdated and irrelevant while you will have a conservative shouting about an oppressive government stripping rights from the citizens. The solution to this disagreement is quite simple; if you do not agree with the principals upon which the country is founded and are more impressed with the politics and social ideas of another country, say France, they will be happy to have you pay your taxes there rather than here. Feel free to leave.

Re: “Stegelin: Taking up arms for gun control

two things will possibly come out of the current gun control legislation effort. 1) Possibly better background checks 2) more gun sales. Period. which of these things do you think the NRA really minds? neither.

Re: “Stegelin: Taking up arms for gun control

1. Spread rumors that Obama is creating gun and ammo shortages.

2. Watch all the bubbas freak out and run to the store to buy shit tons of guns and ammo, thus creating said shortages.

3. Profit!

Re: “Stegelin: 1st District Elephant Parade

That wasn't my understanding of what went down, but it's been a minute since I thought about it.

Come to think of it, I thought the issue was that Page's didn't actually own the lot, but they did own the access between the road and the lot and wouldn't allow the truck the legal right to pass over that strip of land and into the field?

Sheesh. I need a research assistant. Are there any youngsters out there willing to be my "intern"?

Re: “Stegelin: 1st District Elephant Parade

Mat-it's mainly a bar, they aren't stealing business, they asked & they are paying rent I believe. BIG difference than the food truck setting up on their own without asking.

Re: “Stegelin: 1st District Elephant Parade

I noticed a few LARGE Teddy Turner signs floating around Coleman and 17 a few minutes ago....

Are the Pages backing him? Also, why did they open up their lot to parking for The Shelter (*) when they wouldn't let a food truck operate there?

(*) at least, that's what it looked like the sign said

Re: “Stegelin: 1st District Elephant Parade

It's quite comical watching all of these folks who hate the federal government and taxes line up for their chance to receive federal employment and healthcare from taxpayer dollars. The sad thing is though, one of them will be elected.

Re: “Stegelin: Drivers wanted

My point was you are wrong. We aren't giving any of those benefits u listed up because unions gave them to us.
Your list of ..
Paid vacations?
Health benefits?
2 paid breaks a day?
Lunch break?
Holiday pay?
Unions have not given any of that to those of us in non union jobs. We negotiated
any of those with our employer and the federal government does not mandate that any of those have to be provided. They may well have fought for them, but to non union members in a right to work state we fight for ourselves.
