Comment Archives: Stories: News+Opinion: Stegelin's Cartoons

Re: “Stegelin: Fear and Loathing in Trump Voters

You should expect a string of childish public messages from Tweeto as soon as wakes from his security, diplomacy, and economics 101 briefing induced naps. Though its possible he'll wait to attack you personally until after he signs Executive Orders eliminating the 1st Amendment and authorizing the imprisonment of cartoonists who make fun of him once he takes office (with a nod to Kim Jong-Un and his buddy Vlad, for establishing those brilliant precedents). Please be patient.

Re: “Stegelin: If Nazi something, say something!

If you were tormented by bullies throughout your formative years and that bullying continued well into adulthood (in fact it continues today by gop leadership and various theological entities, given that I'm a faggot), you would be 100% against installing one as your leader. He is 100% opposite of what this country has held up as role models for our future generations yet everyone seems ok with an asshole in control of the world. Goes 100% against most christians upbringing, yet they support his boorish and disrespectful behavior. I'm ashamed of this countries citizens.

Re: “Stegelin: If Nazi something, say something!

Everything you mentioned has already either been proven false or suspect !
Some of those allegations come from a divorce and upset ex wife. We all know how charged that can be.
"Reports that Bannon had told his ex-wife that he doesnt want their children to go to school with Jews were.... utterly untrue,
Its pretty much grasping at straws when all they have is a disgruntled ex-wife in a contentious divorce document making a claim that he disputed.

Please do some more research into the man's actual deeds not words and what other well respected Jewish Americans say about the man.

Israel has no bigger supporter than Steve Bannon..and Andrew Breitbart.
"Israels ambassador to the US, Ron Dermer, and Agriculture Minister Uri Ariel have publicly backed Bannon, as have other Jewish groups, including the Zionist Organization of America."

No American Citizen should be worried about the incoming administration.

Re: “Stegelin: If Nazi something, say something!

Bannon's a documented bigot.....anti-semite (too many Jewish kids at his child's school will make his and all kid's whiny brats), anti-gay (referring to lesbians as "Dykes" and the trans-gendered as "Trannies") and anti-woman as reflected by his own approved Brietbart articles:
"Birth Control Makes Women Unattractive and Crazy"
"There's No Hiring Bias Against Women in Tech, They Just Suck At Interviews"
"The Solution To Online 'Harassment' Is Simple: Women Should Log Off"

Don't know if that defines him as a "Nazi" but he shares some aspects of their mindset and he certainly thinks men are superior to women and non-Jewish (of whatever sort) superior to the Jewish since they are whiny brats and all.

And he certainly lacks respect for ALL humans, which is enough to question his character and motivation as a "Chief Strategist" to the leader of the free-world.

Re: “Stegelin: If Nazi something, say something!

Again another cartoon based on complete falsehoods. There are no "nazis" in the future Trump administration.
Steve Bannon ( the person i assume your besmirching) has been nothing short of supportive of the Jewish people and Israel. He cofounded Brietbart with Andrew who was Jewish. Ivanka Trump is Jewish. Hundreds of Jewish people have come out in support of Mr Bannon.
This is a non story and misleading falsehood. I really wish your research into issues was better before you put your crude style to work.
No one should worry.. Our nation is not being run by racists or anti-semites

btw Jack is prob rolling over in his grave with your misuse of Captain America. He was a staunch conservative and WW2 veteran. You indeed should apologize for misusing his character.

Re: “Stegelin: The Celebrity Cabinet

I was only repeating what the democrat party stated. so what is your problem? Those are their words, Nancy Pelosi, Valerie Jarret, Obama. What biblical beliefs did i try to impose? EVERYTHING above was YOUR PARTY and BELIEF system. By your own admission, your life is a lie, you can't be who you want to be for fear of consequences. ALL decisions have consequences. Perhaps you are so angry because your hatred for others not like you is eating you from the inside.

Re: “Stegelin: The Celebrity Cabinet

I'm only bigoted and intolerant of those that are bigoted and intolerant. Trump (and much of his legions - your "get over it" proves it) is the one who is bigoted and intolerant of anyone other than himself. You can believe whatever it is you want to, but when you try to use your religious beliefs or bullying (see your response) to impose your biblical law on the rest of this PLURALISTIC nation, YOU are the one intolerant. Sheriff? No, more like "totalitarian" dictator and "Bully Extraordinaire"! And his bullying incites the intolerant to do EXACTLY as depicted in the link provided above. It is Trump's puppets that are attacking everything non-white, non-straight and non-christian.

Re: “Stegelin: Putin's inauguration wishlist

Interestingly on Sunday, President Obama did not discuss Russia's alleged meddling in the U.S. elections during his conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin

That's behind us, Obama told reporters during a press conference at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Peru. The President said he and Putin discussed Russia's air campaign in Syria and the Minsk negotiations regarding Ukraine.

Why not mention it? Seems like a very serious issue to discuss with another head of state.
....We all know. Its because he and Hilary and the rest of the DNC knew it was never true but just another lie to try to stick to Trump.

Wikileaks even said it was not the Russian Government ... but never let the truth get in front of the Liberal agenda.

Enjoy your civilian life, Mr President. :))

Re: “Stegelin: Putin's inauguration wishlist

we have so much more to be concerned about the country that OBUMMER just gave $170billon to than any alliances which may be made with Russia to defeat our common enemy fundamental radical islam . remember we were allies in ww2? without that we may have lost the war to the Nazis. wake up,grow up, see the real world,it's call pragmatism. choose !

Re: “Stegelin: Putin's inauguration wishlist

The New York Times (of all places) reported on an FBI investigation of Trump and any Putin / Russian connections prior to the election.
http://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/01/us/polit…
NO connections were found.. which means not only is your cartoon not funny (typical) its also based on no truth whatsoever...which only serves to further divide us.

it's only a matter of time and rational erosion that mothers will be allowed to "put down" children up to 3 months of age to protect the health of the mother ie. mental health, like post partem depression, which can certainly be VERY INCONVENIENT for some women.

Re: “Stegelin: How to not get shot by police

That guy is black? He's got straight hair. I at first assumed he might be Hispanic or Indian or something like that. Then I read the inscription 3. Don't be black. I mean, very few black men straighten their hair. Among women, it is much more common. But with such short hair, I assumed the person is male.
On the other hand, the cop looks more normal, he looks like a white male. Perhaps a white Hispanic, his hair is black. But his eyes don't look East Asian, but white. Maybe Mediterranean white, like Arab or south Italian, with that black hair. But still recognizably white. He could have a little black ancestry, or Indian, or something, but still, very predominantly white. Though no people are racially pure. But predominantly black men with straight hair must be extremely rare, except if artificially straightened with chemicals. Of course some people in India are extremely dark but have straight hair, but they are not called blacks, that is reserved for people with African origin. The very dark people of India are racially different from similarly dark people from Africa. Likewise some Australian aborigines are very dark and often have straight hair, but they are not typically called blacks, but aborigines. And of course very few of them have immigrated to America. Though in Australia they are often treated badly by cops, so it is similar. Quite a significant percentage of them are criminal, due to poverty, so many cops treat them all with suspicion, like many cops in America treat blacks. It is very sad, and of course in both cases it causes many of them to dislike police, and quite often not even report crimes. So Trump's advocacy of stop and frisk policies, like what has been banned in New York, but still practiced in some places, it is very dangerous. People should not be stopped when they are not doing anything suspicious, just because they look black or Hispanic or American Indian, or aborigine or something. That is not the way to improve community relations with cops.
So I agree with the general message of the cartoon, even if the specific situation is not realistic, the cop is close enough to recognize it is a camera, not a gun.
