Re: “Who will get your vote in the Jan. 21 Republican primary?

Why do they want to be President?

Santorum wants to strengthen America and its moral fiber

Perry likes the limelight. Reminds me a bit of Huckabee who is now as happy as a clam on Fox.

Gingrich is in it for the money. He has never been able to amass the wealth he would like. He also wants to be "King". He believes his wisdom and knowledge should be herald by all and that he deserves to be President, not unlike Obama.(I think Gingrich has had a lot of set backs in life due to his choices and he seeks success not so much for others as for his own self esteem).

Paul loves the Constitution and wants to preserve it.

Romney likes a challenge and getting the federal budget balanced is a unique challenge indeed. He certainly isn't in the race for money and he has a family life that brings him much happiness. (I believe that he really believes in America and what can happen under good leadership....jobs for Americans, security for the nation and opportunity for all.

Re: “Who will get your vote in the Jan. 21 Republican primary?

Rick Perry is nothing but a backhanded, thief. He's done nothing for Texas except dig a hole bigger than Bush did. I look at his own credentials on his own website back when Tony Sanchez was running against him for governor, realized this guy has never done squat except try to ride coattails to a big money. He's a swindler and a charlaton, I guess being governor of our state of Texas somehow has put him over the law. What a embarrassment to our state, on the other hand Ron Paul is the complete opposite. A consitent honest man, who actually gives money back to the treasury every year, doesn't take a dime, earns every bit of what he has. He is solid and unwavering, Ron Paul is good as gold, what I term a man of great wisdom for his years, it's evident in what he says and in what you see in his son Rand Paul.

By the way everyone should take a look at the Romney Book here: http://www.ibtimes.com/articles/283890/201… will give you a good in depth look at what Romney has done.

Re: “Should Mt. Pleasant have its own school district?

That suggestion is just shocking to me. Be careful what you wish for - no more SOA or Academic Magnet if Mt P has it's own district.
I'm surprised someone didn't suggest incorporating the rich white Daniel Island schools into the Mt. Pleasant schools to form this new school district.

Re: “How many boxes of Girl Scout cookies will you buy this year?

It's sad that someone so young, intelligent, and ambitious can have such prejudice. With things like the personhood amendment in MS, a top tier presidential candidate claiming the country's biggest problem is homosexuality, the Lowes scandal surrounding a reality show about an American Muslim family, and now this, sometimes I feel like this country is moving backwards. There are several countries around the world that put homosexual and transgendered citizens to death. Capital punishment not for beliefs, but physical identity. What would you say to someone if they told you that your feet were too big and to make them smaller, or that the color you liked was wrong? We live an age of information, and yet we are more ignorant than ever. Research and networking are accessed at least on an hourly basis in the palm of our hands and we still only see what we want to. A Y chromosome and social gender identity are not the same thing; one is biological while the other varies by society within nations across the world. One thing I've always noticed about European youth is that social differences don't not have as much of a lasting impact as Americans because they live in much closer proximity to a much greater diversity of people. Maybe one day America will too realize it really isn't so important anymore to recognize differences, but recognize that we are all human and we are all trying to move in a positive direction.

Re: “Who will get your vote in the Jan. 21 Republican primary?

Booing the Golden Rule? What a tasteless act. If Christ came to die on a cross for every single person on this earth, his instructions to "love thy neighbor as thyself" also applies to everyone. Governments and tyrants make the "borders" that separate us, NOT Jesus.

Re: “Who will get your vote in the Jan. 21 Republican primary?

Voters who want wars, torture, assassinations, "humanitarian" bombings in oil rich countries, indefinite detentions, drone attacks that kill the innocent, erosion of civil liberties, domestic war on the people (drug war), out-of-control debt and spending, graft and greed, crony capitalism, pandering to special interests, bailouts, more of the same, must NOT vote for Ron Paul.

Voters who want peace, a humane foreign policy, restoration of civil liberties, an end to the war on drugs, sound money, balanced budgets, honesty, integrity and transparency in government, and a President wholly committed to Constitutional government can vote for Ron Paul.

Ain't that difficult a choice.

Re: “Who will get your vote in the Jan. 21 Republican primary?

Ron Paul is the most qualified, most sincere, least flip-flopper of all. He is a scholarly gentleman, wise to the snakes, weasels, greedy oinkers in DC!
He is the ONLY candidate who mentions PEACE! Remember THAT folks? Peace?
All who buy into the controlled media and don't due their OWN research on his policies, are fools!
"Isolationist"??? Media buzz word for "this guy won't put up with the pocket lining morons in congress who vote for control of the masses&endless war!"
Read up on the recent signing of NDAA ? Completely forfeting the 4,5,6&10 amendments.Military can & will now remove you from your home as an "enemy combatant"-no trial,no judge, no legal representation of any kind! READ! LEARN how our freedoms are being removed from under our tv watching noses!
The DREAM Act...WE will be paying for illegal aliens children to go to college!Or if THEY choose, Illegal alien's children will be "conscripts" into our military! Remember the constitution? READ IT ! ILLEGAL to enlist foreigners into our military! Who would swear an oath to OUR constitution they hold NO allegiance to????
Only candidate talking about ending the illegal fed & IRS!-RON PAUL
Romney? Game show host in bed with corporations!
Huntsman? His businesses are all located in Africa!
Santorum? War monger! Christian? I think not!
Gingrich? Been around the block in DC waaay to many times, in bed with the highest bidder!

Keep events like this in mind. Romney is a fascist. He will enjoy, just as much as Obama, taking away your Bill of Rights.

I am so proud of the Girl Scouts, and I will definitely buy extra cookies this year to hedge against the affects of the boycott!

Re: “How many boxes of Girl Scout cookies will you buy this year?

Kudos to Girl Scouts for admitting the trans-gender without a court order, a physical exam, a Supreme Court ruling, a recommendation from their pastor.......or any other crappy piece of legal crappola. The sooner a child can become what they are...........the better for all! (Question: Are the Boy Scouts allowing the same?)

Re: “Who will get your vote in the Jan. 21 Republican primary?

Hey Hi there OBAMA , I am R. PAUL , Newt , and Santorum, I have been in congress for xx up to 20 years and running for POTUS since xxxx. I did not ever achieve anything . I refused to secure the borders, to pass voter ID and Tort reform. I Santorum even blocked passage of right to Work. I Newt voted for 1986 Amnesty bill supported GWB’s Amnesty and am still Pro Amnesty . I refused to cut the obscene waste , fraud and abuse. I refused to defund planned parenthood, Acorn and other similar criminal government funded entities . I refused to stop the EPA and the DEPT of Energy job killing policies. I R.Paul refused to audit the FED and I NEWT even supported gun controls, Al Gore’s global warming agenda and repealed Glass Steagall Act which gave the keys of corruption to the financial industry . In fact Obama , I refused to do anything so OBAMA I am exactly like you . I never did my job, but collected a big fat check for over 20 years. I Can blow hot air, talk and talk just like you Obama and even lie about my lies That is simple I just repeat everything everyone else has already said and published for the past 20 years, but I can beat you with Zero record and zero achievements because I am exactly like you Obama my documented record proves it.

This boycott is just another act of hate towards anyone differing from the norm. Girl Scouts is about community growth and togetherness. I'm happy to see the organization is taking a supportive, inclusive stance.

Re: “How many boxes of Girl Scout cookies will you buy this year?

This video makes me sad. If a boy thinks he's a girl, acts like a girl, and presents himself as a girl, odds are she's not going to do the things in an overnight stay that other boys her age would do. Odds are, she's going to act like a girl and BE a girl. Bravo to Girl Scouts for admitting them. However, I do think they need to tell the other girls in the group what is going on, in a fair manner. Also bravo to this girl to saying her peace, however misguided it may be. I think I might actually buy cookies this year.

Re: “Who will get your vote in the Jan. 21 Republican primary?

still a little perplexed on which candidate I will vote for. like some of what all are saying.
Like Ron Paul but am not comfortable with his foreign policy. huntsman makes sense but can't agree with him on civil unions, romney sounds good but at his core he is a NE moderate and I don't totally trust him, santorum I like most of what he says but he comes across as angry and I am afraid he would be too quick to push the button, perry stumbled in the debates and cannot recover - that's a shame because I think he would actually do a good job - so that leaves newt - smart but has baggage - he would clobber Obama in the debates - so at this point I am leaning toward him. In the end I will support the nominee regardless. Any of the above would be an infinately better choice than obama.

Re: “Who will get your vote in the Jan. 21 Republican primary?

I've noticed a lot of people have a problem with Ron Paul because he criticized the Osama Bin Laden killing recently.
But if you're one of these people I suggest you ask yourself - WHY did he criticize this?

Was it because, as many posit, he's an anti-war apologist? Well, simply, no: he actually introduced a bill for taking out Bin Laden via letters of Marque and Reprisal - which is the Constitutionally legal way of dealing with terrorists and has been all the way back to the Barbary Pirates, I might add - but the bill wasn't allowed to get past committee (the bill was H.R. 3076 of the 107th Congress).

He clearly wasn't against taking out Bin Laden - so why DID he have issue with taking out Bin Laden?

Because we didn't kill him soon enough.

That's it people - because the members of congress responsible for blocking his bill to take care of bin laden sooner rather than later chose to let it sit in committee and ignore it.

That's the difference between Ron Paul and everyone else - not just that he's the only candidate with a real plan to fix the economy, not just that he's the only serious candidate with military experience, not just that he's the only candidate with enough independent support to win the nomination and not just because he's the only candidate willing to lead by example by cutting his salary, as president, to match the average median income. The difference is that he's the only candidate willing to follow the law - the constitution - and go to war Only when it's necesary, Only when it's declared by congress (as required by Article 1 Section 8 of the constitution), and Only when a sure plan has been devised to go in - win - and get out with as little human life lost as possible.

So if you want more of the same corruptable politicians who would continue the clearly failed policies of the past - and continue a war that has seen the deaths of 10's of thousands more Americans in 10 years than have EVER died from Terrorist attacks - then, please: vote for Santorum, Gingrich, Perry, or Romney in the upcoming Primary.

But if you want a statesman who will put the interests of the American people before his own and see our economy fixed and our wars won - then Elect Ron Paul for president.

Re: “Who will get your vote in the Jan. 21 Republican primary?

Santorum is not truthful or sincere. See the posted link for a thursday night laugh (or cry) Regarding Ricks cuts: He has previously voted to increase the size of the federal goverment and his website is vague on how these "cuts" would look.
My choice for 2012 is Ron Paul - The hope of United States and the world.
God bless America,

Re: “Who will get your vote in the Jan. 21 Republican primary?

The old campaign slogan is once again true: "It's about the economy, Stupid!" The General Election will be bout JOBS and the economy! This affects ALL Americans. Gov. Perry successfully governs the state of Texas which has the 13th largest economy in the world! And his state's record of JOB CREATION is unmatched!

The economy is Obama's Achilles Heel. If you really want to defeat him, then vote for Rick Perry!
