Fantastic location and great vibe. I have gone to a couple of free events at this location and PBC has a great open air atmosphere.
The Rose Knot is closed.
Wow!! Get'em I never cared for the store in the first place so now I'm really not going there.
I first went to Holy Cow in 2000. I knew little about yoga, the practice. Tracy, the owner, was the instructor. I've always been athletic, physically fit. I was a competitive, nationally ranked swimmer for years. I frequented local gyms (Trey's in West Ashley etc). Did the 45 min treadmill etc...never liked it, it was a chore.
The impact of that first class, physically, mentally and emotionally; changed my life forever. I'm not diligent with my yoga practice. Over the years, I'd go 3 times a week for months, then not for 6 month. Get back into it for a good while, then not go for 2 years. The things I learned however, stay with me everyday, whether I'm practicing at Holy Cow or not.
I've taken classes at several other yoga studios throughout the Charleston area. Nothing's ever come close to the experience, the "vibe" or energy that's never changed at Holy Cow. Holy Cow will always be the true essence, the core of yoga in Charleston.
RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL! I wish I could give a -5 star rating. Very poor level of customer service and professionalism is displayed by the new owners Todd & Piggie Hines. I will never return to this store nor the North Area store and every parent that I come in contact with at my child's school, at work, church, shopping or in general conversation will be told to not patronize their establishments.
Readers: make sure to read Peggie's responses because you can read and "feel" her lack of professionalism in the tone of her responses. RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL! NOT to go into details but she had the audacity to say to me 'I feel sorry for your children.' Really? The fact that my CHILD (1) was present was what stopped me from saying anything more than how rude you and your husband are. And please understand the proper way to address a grown woman is NOT 'Honey.' I am not your honey. And for your information I did not curse anyone at your North Area store. I called the NA store to in fact inquire if OUAC has a corporate location to file a complaint about the poor service that I initially received when dropping off my items. What I said was I don't know who the employee was but she was a b*#@! Peggie (and I am sure the name is spelled correctly because when asked for her name she unprofessionally came from behind the counter and stood over my shoulder and said "it's -ie make sure you spell it right." Really? What proprietor treats a customer as such.
Todd (Peggie's husband) then follows me out of the store and proceeded to launch personal one sided insults. Mr. Hines, very rude and unprofessional. Get a dictionary & thesaurus so that you don't sound ignorant when you spew your hateful words.
I will give credit where credit is due and will state that the new owners have improved on the look and smell of the store and the young ladies that are employed at the WA store are very polite but that won't last long with such rude and hateful owners and the poor level of customer service. FYI Peggie-Word of mouth is the best advertisement good & BAD!
They have delicious chocolates, baked goods, coffees, and even baguettes; Where can I get a salami sandwich for myself and a blueberry dark chocolate bar for my wife and then two cups of coffee to wake us both up after? Christophe, that's where.
Oops, my previous review was suppose to reflect 5 stars and not 1. This place is awesome!
The Pluff Mud Porter and Dorchester Lite are my go to beers. Now they have the Follicle Brown in cans too, woohoo!
Have not been able to have a piercing for a few decades now because it seemed no matter what earrings I tried, instant infection. Went in and talked to J. And he helped me pick out titanium neometal earrings, and two weeks later, still no infection! Appreciated the time taken to explain everything too. Cheers!
Would happily pay a double premium to shop for wine without the nuisance of some idiot walking around blabbing on a cell phone...would pay triple to see the same idiot tossed out of the store while wining.
The sign says No cell Phones. That makes you the idiot.
Absolute miserable and rudest owners and employees ever. I was asked to leave the store for being on my cell phone. Didn't even have time for the phone to ring once before the rude employee told me to get off my phone and pointed at a sign saying "no cell phones". Is this even legal? Miserable creatures operate this store. Avoid at all costs. High prices too.
wow! what a lame bit of self-promotion.
Great place - glad I run it.
BLU Gorilla is GREAT!!! I keep going back! Go see Brad he's awesome and is very talented!
Wonderful space for an event. Went to a Guerrilla Cuisine dinner there a couple of weeks ago and was surprised at how pretty the distillery hardware looks with the right lighting and how warm and comfortable the space was - especially for a warehouse and work site, at that (the bathrooms are a literally shining example). A few strategically placed pieces of art (big works well) and beautifully set tables were all that was needed to transform what would be a cavernous area in the back into a really cool, even elegant, venue. I know others worked hard to make that transformation and I WAS under the influence of some fabulous food, but the end result of GC & others' efforts highlighted the possibilities of the distillery space itself. The Striped Pig people proved very hospitable folks, dedicated to their craft and eager to share the process & results with willing fans. Sampled some powerful but oddly delicious moonshine & a more finished product. It is obvious that a great deal of thought went into making this space a welcoming place to hang out, whether for an event or just a visit.
This mall has the only IMAX in the Charleston area. It also has the largest Belk & Dillard's locations in Charleston. Centrally located, easily accessible and convenient to all areas of Charleston.
Terrific company downtown to see good theatre. They do a lot with the smaller space and it is very comfortable. Creative sets and lighting and quality productions.
I read this comments and I ask myself why the manager from the myrtle beach store (I asked about this and I know that store belong to the same company- same owner) doesn.t quite....the only think that he do all day is to sleep on the chair. i.ve been to shop 3 times in that store and all the time I was disappointed. first time I asked for help with swimsuit and he told me that they don.t have the sizes without even to move for few min from the chair to check for me (the style was up high on the wall), the second time I was into an evening and he throw us out because it was 9.30 pm and he was tired after all day working(what kind of work) without to care that my daughter she selected few dresses to try on and we my buy some, we my spend some money. he told us to come in the morning he will be there from 9 o'clock till late in the night. and the third time before to leave (of course I didn.t wanted to go there anymore but my kids wanted hermit crabs- they are free with the case) and in place to come to help me because it was right behind him he call the girl from the other store (a 5.99 section) to help me, again he was setting and sleep in his comfortable chair. I ask myself how many customers he lose with this attitude. how many people made complain about him or maybe not because you can not find a web page with that store or a phone no. anyway are so many other beach shops in m b.
