Stono River Kennel is now Chucktown Charley. Check out http://www.chucktowncharley.com.
Citadel Mall is looking great these days. So excited for all of the new stores and improvements coming!
What a great place. Amazing product. Amazing people that clearly love what they do.
I have been going to Broad Street Barbers for over 5 years (since I moved here). The whole staff is great but especially Myrtis whom I have gone to exclusively. She is a great owner to boot!!. When she went out on a health issue she made sure that i was taken care and now I see Jen. If you want a great haircut at a great price by really friendly staff, Broad Street Barber shop is the place to go.
The owner was personable and extremely helpful in our various vinyl searches. He was even able to locate a incredibly rare vinyl our son has spent years attempting to find. The selection was varied and the prices very reasonable. You will want to spend awhile discovering old favorites.
I went to the first roast they had many years ago. It was crowded and poorly organized then, and appears to be the same in subsequent years. The prices are outrageous, and the traffic is horrible! Go out to Bowen's Island or a local place and eat your oysters and drink your beer. You'll enjoy it more and save a lot of time and money.
I never post feedback typically, but I am making an exception. My children and grandchildren were in town and I planned for us to attend the Low Country Christmas at Boone Hall. We had high expectations as being represented by Boone Hall and due to the cost of the event. We were extremely disappointed. The idea is phenomenal but very underdone. I realize this is their first year and perhaps some feedback will help them. Too few food venders, too few activities included with price. The long lines with a let down of product offered. Santa's workshop was rushed through and needs more live interaction, live props, not just painted walls. The Christmas Village could have used some pizazz, like a snow flake machine, more shops or interactive activities for kids. The hayride was fun, but truthfully, needed much more lights, could really have been all lights and just fun Christmas music playing and a guide to encourage interaction, we sang one song at the very end of the ride. One of my biggest gripes was no facilities for babies, I had to change my one of my grandchildren on the floor of a building on her coat. Needless to say I will not be recommending this event. I'm sorry to be so negative but I had such high hopes as it was the main activity I had planned during their stay. The lights at James Island is far more economical and well worth the trip.
I could spend hours in this place. Really good selection.
This is a great store with a great selection and there are lots of gems among the $1 records. It's an area of King St. where there's always lots of parking so it's not a hassle to get to.
Fantastic park in old North Charleston on the former navy base....situated on the Cooper River complete with fishing piers and riverfront boardwalks....gorgeous old oak trees....one of my favorite places for a walk!
The reputation of the Oyster Festival has been getting poorer and poorer over the past few years. Why go all the way over there, sit for hours in traffic (in and out), pay an incredible price for just a few oysters, and wait in long, long lines for the honor of being fucked? Save the trip, go locally, and have hot oysters and good beer that dows not require a mortgage on your home?
We arrived early and enjoyed watching the various events and then the parade. We left after that and it seems like it was a good thing to leave then from the reviews I have read. When we left there was about 1,000 cars parked and more were coming in. Glad we got there early and left early.
Absolutely disappointing! Where to begin..... First each year the selection and prices for USED items is insane! Stains, rips, buttons missing, zippers then guess what... to bad, no returns or exchanges. And the kicker....No children under 12 unless they are strapped down to a carrier? Good luck finding one of those for a 7 year old! Sorry to tell you people, but the messiest children are the ones strapped down in a stroller! They are the children eating and grabbing your "precious" inventory! I have never in my lifetime been to a place for children's items where your child isn't welcome. Absolutely insane! This is not stated on their webpage. Honestly they would probably sell more of that junk if they allowed children (by them begging for toys etc). No money out of my pocket. I will never go back there, ever! I will choose to spend my money where all children are welcome! If you allow any children at all, all children should be welcome or no children at all. Absolutely insane!
"There are several bike shops in Mount Pleasant, I suggest you shop around."
That is right there are several, and they all suck.
Very disappointing experience, received an estimate on phone for $40 for cascade and chain to be replaced on my old Trek. When I dropped the bike off, they upped the maximum potential estimate to $60 with no change in the scope of work. When I picked the bike up, they charged me $72. their explanation was they always need to adjust the derailer (sp?) when they replace a cascade and chain. When I questioned the manager on why it was not included in the first two estimates he blew me off as if I was trying to take advantage of him. There are several bike shops in Mount Pleasant, I suggest you shop around.
Good beer and attractive location. It can get a little hot in there, but that is the norm in a small production facility. I am predicting an updated 5 star review in the near future.
Since Revelry has not yet been rated yet, I would like to start their rating out with an enthusiastic 5 star rating! Sean, Jay and Ryan have really done well by not only providing the craft beer drinking community a great place to hang out, but also providing a great lineup of quality, great tasting beers!! Keep up the great work!!
I doubt the editors would appreciate AIncest being mean to Ms. Lentz just for giggles. Stay classy. Folks like you are the reason nobody likes James Island.
Breathing from your mouth doesn't grant you the right to spray slobber on the lot of us. Tuck your shirt in, learn some manners and stop embarrassing your family.
"I simply put Town of James Island in the search engine and this is what came up."
Sounds like JI needs to hire someone to do some artisanal SEO for them.
I'm available. And pretty cheap.
