This Place has the best food
Consistently the Best. Best Food, Service and Wine. The desserts are fabulous-always. Have never had a bad meal or experience in over 10 years. Not once, wish I could say that about others here but I can't. I travel between my home in NYC and here and can say that this place can match many of the classic dining establishments in NYC and far outshines all the other restaurants here. Others newbies come and go, but this place stays. Must be a reason for that.
Food was excellent. The price was high, but I was able to share a meal and still have leftovers because of how much food that comes with the meal. Try to oxtails, you won't regret it.
With quality ingredients and fresh-baked bread, you won't find a better sandwich in Charleston. The sides and iced Chai tea are delicious, too. We'll be back --- soon!
Yo amo Barsa! This place is just fantastic and the folks running it make it all come together beautifully. The food is fresh, tasty and authentic for the most part- after all, we're in South Carolina and there are limits. But, having said that, overall it's a great dining and drinking experience with friendly professional servers and a top notch bartender (the evening we were there it was Brittany) who was very pleasant, very quick and attentive to a packed bar. The kitchen put out meticulous, beautifully presented dishes and everything we ate was tops. Gracias Barsa. We will be back! Again and again and again.
Went there for dinner and drinks last Thursday and it was fantastic! The casual atmosphere was fun and inviting. The Sangrias are amazing and only $4 on Thursdays by the way. The service was good but the food was even better. We had the calamari and steak crostini among other things. Delicious. My friends and I have been looking for a good tapas restaurant and I think we've found it. We'll definitely be back. Looking forward to trying their new lunch menu! Also, if anyone is looking for it, their new web site is BarsaCharleston.com
Love the facilities, vibe and the other climbers at this location are all super nice and laid back individuals! Great place to get your climb on!
I am brand new to the sport and I am not wearing several blisters to prove it! But, I have that problem specifically mentioned in the article: I can not stop thinking about climbing. I have had dreams about holds and I find myself moving my hands already in totally different ways. I became a member a couple of weeks ago and have found myself literally changing my lifestyle in order to fit in more climbing. Thanks for bring this into my life, Coastal Climbing
Pearlz is great for happy hour. The menu is very reasonably priced for the quality of food. They have a tuna tartar dish that is a stand out, and the shrimp are perfectly fried. The fish tacos are unremarkable. I'm not an oyster person, so I can't speak for those, but people seem to love them. In addition, the draft beer is always really cold, and the bar tenders and servers are friendly and efficient. I've never had a bad experience at this place.
I agree with the other review. This is my favorite "go to" place now. Whether it is with out of town company or an after work dinner with the sweetie, it is perfect. The selection of wines by the glass is outstanding, the decor/setting are stunning and the staff, cheerful. The only thing I would ever add would be some fans on the courtyard to keep the pesky little flying critters at bay. My sister, who has been traveling here for years said that her meal might have been her favorite ever in Charleston. Keep up the good work guys!
Five stars! Everything is wonderful. Try the desserts!
Today we had breakfast at Baguette Magic. We tried an almond croissant and the bacon, egg and cheese on brioche. Delicious! But the best was yet to come --- we took a baguette home with us. The bread was so good that we scrapped tonight's dinner menu and had bread and cheese instead. The baguette was indeed "magic".
I can't say enough good about this place. I just love it. The atmosphere is superb with outside patio dining. The bar is welcoming and the food is second to none. My favorite stop when I'm in Charleston.
Richard's is a great LOCAL neighborhood coffee shop. The owner and the clientele are passionate about the neighborhood. The menu is simple, affordable and yummy. And you haven't lived until you've had one of Ms. Gloria's homemade waffles...
Richard's Coffee is also a great wireless hotspot! I am working on my Master's degree online and the family atmosphere makes it a great place to hang out and study. I also love the artwork on display...its a rotating collection of some of the artists in the community and its good to see a local business supporting the arts. Oh, and by the way...they have Great Food too!!! Richard's coffee gives generous portions, and the menu features a variety of healthy wraps and sandwiches...plus Gloria is always cooking up something special on Saturday mornings to excite & delight the palette.
Close drive from airport. Friendly and outgoing staff knowledgeable on craft beer and wine. A quaint gourmet cracker-barrel (shop and eat: half wine/beer shop, half southern cafe)! Modest but stellar beer selection in back. Growler and bomber fills. I definitely will be back!
Contrary to SoundlyAwake, I thoroughly enjoyed my first (yes, first) iced coffee from a very nice young lady who stated I'd get hooked on them if I tried one. It was very flavorful, nicely portioned, very refreshing, and I rather liked the atmosphere. Any place that tries to help our local artists gets points from me. I had a great sandwich, which I could not finish (took the remainder home withe me), and enjoyed watching the world go by in N. Chas. Fortunately the High School was out for the year, so there was minimal kid traffic. I will definitely go back when I visit the other bars in this ever improving part of N. Charleston. Oh, and Soundly, they have real great overheated Joe at Sunoco's.
As the owner I was somewhat taken a back by "SoundlyAwake72"'s comment. The "Mix Matched Art" is from lo cal artists that we are trying to show case. The "opened bread" is baked fresh daily by Southeastern Bakery and used to make sandwich that use, the best quality meat that we could find, Thumann's. We sell a lot of Iced Coffee -- using Charleston Coffee Roasters beans -- and everyone, except this person, raves about it. If "SoundlyAwake72" would return, I would gladly refund his money and provide directions to the nearest convenience store where he may find coffee more to his liking.

The Only Premier Jazz Bar in Town. This is a true experience!
