Re: “Blind Tiger

The Caprese Grilled Cheese is one of the best sandwiches in Charleston.

We're dealing in facts, here.

Re: “Rehab Bar & Grill

Nice dance floor and great bartenders!!! They have a bartender that should be in Vegas! He flips bottles and blows fire! Definately the most entertaining around here! They also have great steak specials on wednsdays.

Re: “Charleston Beer Works

Went to CBW to watch NCAA tourney... had a burger and FF. It was awesome, hand ground burgers and hand-cut french fries. Huge selection of beers and a bunch of Holy City drafts. I am honestly impressed. One of the patrons told me that the cheese steaks were extremely good. I know what I will be having next time... Keep up the good work

Re: “Foster's Pub

I'll keep it short and sweet... Great food. Super friendly and attentive owner. Excellent staff. When I am in town, I try to come here often.

@Aleyeast-I clicked on your name and read all your reviews. You come across as a small, negative, petty, angry little man who fancies himself a well travelled, and scholarly critic. You are truly ridiculous. You probably sit at home with your little beer book plagiarizing content as your own thoughts. Do the area a favor and please stay home. I will gladly discuss this with you in person though if you wish...

Re: “Art's Bar & Grill

I've eaten there and it's honestly good and the best evening is when any night "Baby Fat" is rocking the joint. They are excellent musicians.

Re: “The Brick

I just wanted to let everyone know that this bar became under new ownership back in August of 2010 and I ask that you don't hold any of the negative comments prior to that date against us. Even though we kept the same name, we have greatly improved the bar and it's atomosphere. I invite everyone to come and check the bar out for yourself and for anyone who had a negative experience I ask that you come by and give it another shot. Thanks and I hope to see you at The Brick!

Re: “Closed for Business

We were looking for a place for lunch yesterday and we came upon "Closed for Business" and decided to give it a try. I ordered the Grilled Cheese w/ tomato soup. The grilled cheese was DELICIOUS on thick sliced, buttery bread w/ three kinds of perfectly melted cheese. The tomato soup was also delicious, very fresh. My boyfriend ordered the fried chicken sandwich w/ french fries. That was also really yummy, the chicken was very lightly fried and not greasy. The fries, fresh cut, were so good we were fighting over the last few! Our server was very sweet and upbeat. The overall ambiance was very calming and inviting and I loved the handmade-looking lamps on the booth tables! I like knowing my food comes from local businesses, and it was well worth the $25 for lunch. We will be back again soon to try some of those craft beers and the pork rinds! Thanks for a GREAT lunch!

Re: “Rehab Bar & Grill

Just discovered where the dman is. In top form as usual. Great place. Have some terrific acts. Hoping they can do more in the food department but what they have is good. Find a signature dish or something. Everyone should try this new place. What a better place to tell your friends you spent the night at......REHAB bar and grill

Re: “Foster's Pub

As soon as I returned from an overseas trip in September, a long time friend recommended I check this place out. Knowing what used to be in the same facility, I was beyond hesitant. I checked their menu online, called to verify it as a family-friendly establishment, and proceeded to have Friday Night Family Dinner there. As a craft beer nut, I was beyond excited to check out Foster's, considering the lack of craft beer establishments in Mount Pleasant that actually know anything about craft beer.

During my first visit, with my wife and son, I spent a good 10-15 minutes discussing craft beers and breweries with the owner, as it was a fairly quiet night and we were one of two families in the Pub. Seated away from the bar, we figured we would be a bit ignored, but that was not the case. Craig is one of the few restaurateurs in this area that really seems to get it. This establishment does not seem to exist solely to get people buzzed up and back out on the roads, rather after one or two visits, patrons become regulars; a characteristic glaringly remiss at most restaurants/bars in Mount Pleasant. I applaud the service on most nights, but as a realist, I also understand if I go in on Trivia Night and sit anywhere away from the bar (not with my family, of course), I may end up waiting a few extra moments for service - the place is packed on Trivia Nights. It is simple math, really.

The food of Foster's is what really sets it apart, and it took me by surprise I would actually enjoy it as much as I do. I am a cheeseburger man through and through, and have been overwhelmed by the flavors blended together in the back. I even tried the Arrogant Bastard Challenge one night, failing miserably, just because I was excited to eat that burger for an entire weekend (I learned that weekend why gluttony is considered a "Deadly Sin"). The highlight of the menu for me, strangely enough, is their macaroni and cheese. A dish I never cared for my entire life, but when ordered as a side for my son on one occasion, it is now something I order as take out on most visits. I am a fan of their onion rings also. A few mentioned below they are a bit on the crispy side, which I agree with, but they also actually taste like the beer they say they should. Most beer battered rings taste like flour and yeast, and that's it. During football, the BBQ sliders have been a hit with my friends and family also. The wings are simple bar wings, but if one is seeking a great plate of wings, I question why that person would not venture to one of the myriad of wing houses in the area.

I applaud Craig's respect throughout these reviews, and I wonder if some of the people reviewing actually understand the dynamics that transpire in an establishment geared toward not only quality food and drink, but more-so toward quality service. Service is my main concern in any restaurant or bar, and I frequent a few places with poor food and/or poor drink selections entirely based on the service received. Foster's is the type of place I can get all things I wish for when I choose to spend my "hard earned money" on any given night.

Overall, this was a refreshing update to the Mt Pleasant restaurant/bar scene when I returned, and I am happy to add it to my list of go-to establishments in the area. Keep up the good work.

Re: “Boone's Bar

Great place to grab a drink with friends, extremely helpful staff and pretty good food (I was suprised how good it actually was). The place has a great feel to it and was extremely well done inside. Drink prices are about average but everytime i've been they have had ridiculous drink specials.

Re: “Closed for Business

Favorite bar in Charleston hands down, the ambiance, food, knowledgeable waiters/waitresses, and ever changing stellar beer list has led to my group of friends finding ourselves at CFB at least three nights a week.

I love this place and could eat there multiple times a week. I don't really understand some of these comments, but to each his own. I personally love the food, the beer, and the ambiance, and I hope it sticks around!

Good people, good food, good drinks. Especially for those who love a neighborhood dive, this place is home away from home. Always a mix of ages and backgrounds and always a great time.

Re: “The Recovery Room

Boston and his staff make this the place to head to in whatever your attire. The patrons are eclectic, the drinks are awesome, Buck Hunter is the best and the shake weight Boston has behind the bar says it all.
