Re: “H&L Asian Market

I love H&L and shop there all the time. And the variety...how much more could any one person want? That store is loaded. I walk the aisles everytime I am there. Amazing. I always go in the daylight though and do know that they are open until 8pm in the evenings. Never have seen any sign of a problem.

Re: “H&L Asian Market

I hate to say it but H & L blows away Quyen for authentic Vietnamese. The pho broths are similar but when you compare the freshness and quantity of the herb condiments there is no comparison. And they are fast!

Re: “52.5 Records

52.5 fills the gap left by all the big stores, i.e. more obscure music for true music nerds, of which I am one. It is not designed to fulfill the needs of people seeking their Top 40 fill. It is where I found Tom Waits on vinyl and a collection of Mark Ryden prints. It is where I can see cool artwork and buy used CDs and vinyl, plus the latest cool and more difficult to find indie stuff. Whenever I actually have money, that's my first stop!

Re: “Queen Street Grocery & Café

Great little place for a relaxing and delicious lunch! Definitely worth your time wandering a few blocks off the more traveled path to try this place.

Re: “Queen Street Grocery & Café

Greatest Fashion Week hangover solution in town... we had crepes, super strong coffee, and lots of Aspirin packs... thanks to the heavens and stars for this sweet little place... and so Charleston hospitable : )

Re: “COAST Brewing Company

I came up with the name 'Porter, Smoked' and now I've been banished to the Commonwealth of Northern Marianas Islands, very far from all that delicious beer. Wish I'd thought of a more creative title for such a heady brew. All they have out here is San Miguel and Red Horse. Maybe I can find some fresh tuba on Guam... I <3 Saipan! Cheers Dave & Jamie

Re: “MoonPie General Store

So many great gift ideas! I got my mom a great birthday gift. Also, I brought my niece and nephew when they were in town and they loved eating hotdogs and icecream at the lunch counter. Great place for tourists to get some relief from the heat! alassor, Charleston

Re: “MoonPie General Store

Thought the store was real unique. Lots of food items and toys, etc that reminded me of when I had young children. It is a dream world for a chlld with all the neat toys and candies. The food from the fountain was great, especially the ice cream.

Re: “Queen Street Grocery & Café

Still freaking out from the Cold-pressed coffee rush. Fresh plate of crepe and spinach salad with homemade spicy chipotle was delicious. They could use more seating. All around great little downtown joint. Chef is kinda cute, too!

Re: “USS Yorktown

I love the Yorktown! This WWII ship was in the Battle of Midway. They have an amazing Medal of Honor Museum on board..

Re: “Queen Street Grocery & Café

This place is pure delight, downtown crepe cafe with soups and hot tea at low prices. Wish the outdoor seating area was in season though.

Re: “Queen Street Grocery & Café

Best crepes and Cuban sandwich in Charleston. Organic wine selection is tops as well. Highly recommended any time of day.

Re: “Total Wine & More

An excellent place to shop but I seem to have missed out on the wind tastings.

Re: “Queen Street Grocery & Café

Haven't had a bad meal yet. From their fresh crepes to the stacked Cuban sandwich are all prepared to order. Great selection of beer and wine. One of my favorite places to stop and have a good meal and a good laugh.

Re: “Queen Street Grocery & Café

Best crepes and Cuban sandwiches in the city. Home made spicy chipotle will clear your nasal passages. Cold pressed coffee is so strong I met Jim Morrison and Jimmi Hendrix on the same day. Their regular coffee could be better though. Organic wine selection is good.

Re: “Queen Street Grocery & Café

This establishment is the only one in the Holy City deserving of the name "Recovery Room." Cold pressed coffee, Kombucha, and vitamin loaded vittles are the morphine of the liver battering lifestyle of Charleston. Honest music and even more honest conversation seal the deal as the misgivings of the late hours can be redeemed in the early ones. Great lunch spot, almost makes me jealous of those in walking distance. When voting your dollars, don't mind walking an extra street over.

Re: “Queen Street Grocery & Café

Their insanely strong cold pressed coffee is pure rocket fuel. The crepe spinning guy (?) made us a tasty turkey, basil, and spicy chipotle treat with thin sliced apples. Fun place to hang out and chat. Highly recommended, and close to King and Broad Street. But beware of the cold pressed coffee... not for weaklings.
