The food quality has taken a serious nose dive like just about every restaurant in town eventually does. When ingredients are missing from dishes as they are described on the menu, and a lack of consistency in preparation becomes evident, it usually means the owners are off someplace enjoying the spoils of their initial success. Of course, the reality of a food and beverage business is that it can be like a demanding and unforgiving mistress. If ignored or neglected one might return some day to find her gone like Cinderella at midnight. Fortunately, the service is still super here and the bartenders are the finest looking females on the planet. Since most in Mount Pleasant only care about where to get a drink on next, SOL has some time left at the Ball. The clock is ticking loudly in the kitchen though.
Great food at good prices. We were in Charleston for a week & ate here 3 times.
The fish & chips special on Friday is tasty. Burgers & pork chops are excellent.
The sides are inventive & don't miss the desserts. The service was excellent.
We are looking forward to eating here on our next visit in the spring
Great theater on Folly Road. Heart and soul is poured into each show. Great vocal talent. Wine and beer for purchase!
The Mason Jar is great! The food is stellar & the service has been wonderful every time we have been there. Cute & clean restaurant, friendly staff. You can't beat Southern food that is done right! You have to order their mac & cheese. & the onion rings are amazing!!
Mario, some sure-fire advice so you don't get disappointed again: Do what I do - get off your lazy duff and wash it yourself!
Fortunately, I was smart enough to read the sign which states the costs of the services. Crazy, right? I did this even though years ago I may have paid different amounts for various services. Wierd how prices change with each passing year. You guys probably won't believe this (I sure didn't!) but I heard somebody whining about putting a quarter in a Coke machine and-would you believe it-a Coke didn't come out. Anyway, great car wash. Top notch service. Thanks, Cactus.
Good place, if a little unconventional, and excellent food. Honestly, my only beef with the place is that they charge a little more than I'd like for basics at a primarily lunch place ($3 for a taco, for example). Though to be fair, if you go to Santi's or Taco Boy or anywhere else you'll pay the same. I just got spoiled at the taquerias in Dallas. Overall, excellent food, excellent service, highly recommend.
Nobody gets a hand wash and wax for $25. Get real. Cactus rocks!
Long in the tooth, dirty, grungy.... girl bartender should be fired for not serving customers quickly
Great to go here, sit and watch the chef, chat, drink wine and enjoy the courses.
Had the worst experience today. I paid for a hand wash / wax for $25.00 only to get a hand wash ONLY. A couple of months ago, I purchased a hand wash / wax for the same amount $25.00. Today, the Mgr Will, refused to wax the car stating that $25.00 was for the hand wash only. NOT RIGHT. Bait and switch....I think so. You can go thru the machine in the same amount of time, and you get WAX. The finish team does the vacuum and windows in either case....why spend the extra money only to get scammed.
Had a fantastic birthday dinner with great service from Jordan, a nice table overlooking the front window and enjoyed the best steak I have ever put in my mouth. Hall's is one of our favorite restaurants because, unlike some folks apparently, we enjoy a friendly greeting from one of the owners at the door, someone finding me a seat when it's 3 deep at the bar & servers who are knowledgeable & friendly along with the best steak we've ever had. There's a reason it's always busy & you can't get a reservation before 9:30pm. Don't believe the negative comments. We live here & love this place.
You signed a contract with another chiropractor. You don't have any responsibility to fullfill it. And, by the way, these guys are not anywhere close to a "doctor".
I must admit, this afternoon at Leon's, was a wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon. We sat at your oyster bar, and made me feel like I was at Acme's or Felix's oyster bar. The best part was we we're here in our own home of Charleston,
eating select oysters from Light House point I believe from Va. They were outstanding and sipping on a original Coors Banquet draft. Your entire wait staff made our dining experience even more pleasurable. I believe his name was Tom, great job by him, and your new bar keeper.
We ate a half dozen of the oysters, which were spot on, and we both had the 2 piece fried chicken, the best I've ever had, along with the Cauliflower soup, which will have me coming back for another bowl.
Wow, I am blown away by the negative comments posted about this fantastic restaurant. Whatever you do, dont pay attention. Those haters probably think that Applebee's has the best food in town. ;-) Halls Chophouse exceeded our expectations in every way imaginable. My wife and I went here for our twentieth wedding anniversary, and were impressed as soon as soon as we entered the door. Billy Hall greeted us when we first arrived, checked on us at the table, wished us a happy anniversary with two glasses of champagne in hand, and was at the front door when we left in order to send us off in style. The service by all of the staff was absolutely the best that I have experienced in South Carolina. To top it all off, my wife and I received a very nice personal card from our server three days after dining. At 39 years of age, this is the first time that I have ever received a card from a restaurant that I dined at. They truly treat you like royalty at this restaurant. All this talk about the restaurant, and nothing about the food. I take pride in my steaks, and act as if I were a steak connoisseur whenever I eat steaks at another restaurant. I can honestly say that this was the best steak that I have had in the Southeast!!!! Halls Chophouse is an absolute "must do" when you come to Charleston. We have lived here for 8 years, and can't believe that this is the first time that we have eaten at Halls. We will be back for years to come!.
Great place all around. Food and service is great and owner is very friendly with costumers. Definitely would recommend trying this wonderful place
Dr. McGill talked me into signing a contract on a Monday, and then informed me that he was retiring that Wednesday. He should have informed me of his retirement while I was signing my contract, instead of deceiving me to believe that he would be my chiropractor. His replacement is a pompous man that did not look over my X-rays before treating me, which is dangerous, if not life-threatening. We also had a differing opinion on health (he does not believe in vaccinations) and he began making fun of my beliefs, calling me "an argumentative girl". By the end of my contract, I felt unwelcome by the chiropractor. I would not recommend this practice to anyone.
Awesome show!!! Great talent and wonderful message! Great way to start your Holiday season!
is it always all u can eat or just lunchtime cuz ima cheapskate and will frequent :P I cant eat hardees everyday.... Screw the snobby places al u can eat byotch
Coachz: Not so sure why you wanted water, but these guys have to make a living, you know. Did they have to buy the cup and make the ice? Did they have to take time to make it up? Were refills free? Do they pay for the cost of the water and the equally same sum for the sewer service? Electricity, rent, etc? Stay at McDonalds and Hardees. These are the places cheapskates frequent.
