Ordered take out wings last night from Wings and they had a problem with their credit card processing system. So they just kept swiping my card and eventually gave up and wrote up a manual slip. Lo and behold the next morning I had been charged 5 TIMES on my credit card. Definitely won't be using a credit card if I ever go there again! Now I have a huge mess to straighten out with them and my bank.
One of the most awkward entrances I've ever had into a bar. Being a huge fan of Trivia, I was excited to try a new place. Not intimidated by its "hole in the wall-ness" we strolled in and quickly wished we wouldn't have. It was disgusting, and the worst part? There wasn't even trivia.

The absence of overly dressed people with strange accents isn't missed by the locals or thankfully the management. It is authentic creek side fish-shack environment - a great local favorite.
Be prepared to walk through a cloud of cigarette smoke as you enter. Seems they could put that out back.
Once the food was very good, now not so much.
Went there for the first time this weekend for lunch and was very pleased. The pizza is fantastic, perfectly cooked, authentic, delicious. I really don't understand the reviewers saying that the layout or ordering process is confusing. It is abundantly clear that you order at the counter when you walk in. I like the element of surprise, seeing the ovens blazing as you come around the corner. We will definitely be repeat customers.
Don't understand the negative review. I've been twice and everything was great. Fresh seafood which isn't always easy to find. Very attractive interior and exterior. GO there.
Clean, great food, service, and music.
Also karaoke on Friday.

Wow!! Get'em I never cared for the store in the first place so now I'm really not going there.
I first went to Holy Cow in 2000. I knew little about yoga, the practice. Tracy, the owner, was the instructor. I've always been athletic, physically fit. I was a competitive, nationally ranked swimmer for years. I frequented local gyms (Trey's in West Ashley etc). Did the 45 min treadmill etc...never liked it, it was a chore.
The impact of that first class, physically, mentally and emotionally; changed my life forever. I'm not diligent with my yoga practice. Over the years, I'd go 3 times a week for months, then not for 6 month. Get back into it for a good while, then not go for 2 years. The things I learned however, stay with me everyday, whether I'm practicing at Holy Cow or not.
I've taken classes at several other yoga studios throughout the Charleston area. Nothing's ever come close to the experience, the "vibe" or energy that's never changed at Holy Cow. Holy Cow will always be the true essence, the core of yoga in Charleston.
Just came home from Charleston, SC and had to make sure I left a comment! This is the BEST place if your looking for some good ole soul food!! I had the fried flounder, mac & cheese, fried okra & coca cola chocolate cake and it was FABULOUS!!! Also tasted the collard greens & corn bread, oh it was delicious too!! Very reasonable cost and the best service!!! Yes, the wait is well worth it!! Can't wait to go back, makes my mouth water just thinking about it!! Wish I could have tasted everything!!
I ate at the Chickin Chickin truck at the beer festival Saturday. Simple wings were 6 wings for $7.00. I guess they had you by the fuzzies so you'd be forced to pay those outlandish prices. I'll eat beforehand before I go to another Beer Garden. Prices for both the Garden and all the food out there has become very, very expensive.
Does "trendy" mean over-priced? Seems to be the "trend" in new food places these days.
Wow where do I start with this nightmare. I am a pretty easy going guy, rarely send food back or complain. It was a busy Friday night at Folly Beach but Snapper jacks wasn't too busy, we waited at the bar, had a good beer and were seated at the table in about 10 minutes. After about 20 minutes our drinks were about gone and we were curious where our waitress was, the hostess found her sitting at the next table next to us with friends, I had noticed her there when we sat down, she was there the entire 20 minutes and laughing with the friends I didn't think she was a waitress. The waitress, Lauren, came over and took our drink order, we ordered soon after and that's where the nightmare started. After about an hour we wondered what had happened to our food, there really wasn't many people eating in this place. About an hour 15 one plate came out, and it took another 15 minutes to get the rest. my chicken was paper thin, cold and dry as rubber, whatever the flatbread shrimp thing was was burned on the bottom and the Salmon was 1/2 inch wide and 3 inches long, for $18 REALLY!!, I have had bigger and better Salmon at Sams as a sampler. The only decent plate was the fried shrimp, tough to screw that up. I gave my plate back to Lauren the waitress and our friend returned the burned flatbread thing and asked for an appetizer which she got quick, it was only shrimp dip, pretty bland btw. The manager came over about 15 minutes later, his name was Jay, he did the typical manager "i'm sorry but I really don't care" routine and said he would look into why our food was so bad, so late and so separated in delivery, I didn't expect to see him again and I wasn't disappointed. So after the chicken and flatbread thing was removed we still owed almost $100 between 4 people, friggen insane for the night we had in that place. I have been in Charleston for almost 20 years and have never had such an experience. We will never go back there, and I tell everyone I know the same, I hope tourists read this and stay clear as well. Lauren find another job, maybe involving a pole, Jay I heard there's a opening at McDonalds, you're a poor excuse for a manager, you weren't that busy you couldn't take care of paying customers
Been there three times and had excellent food and service every time. Love the food and am sure you will, too. Way too long for Charleston to get a good Lebanese restaurant.
RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL! I wish I could give a -5 star rating. Very poor level of customer service and professionalism is displayed by the new owners Todd & Piggie Hines. I will never return to this store nor the North Area store and every parent that I come in contact with at my child's school, at work, church, shopping or in general conversation will be told to not patronize their establishments.
Readers: make sure to read Peggie's responses because you can read and "feel" her lack of professionalism in the tone of her responses. RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL! NOT to go into details but she had the audacity to say to me 'I feel sorry for your children.' Really? The fact that my CHILD (1) was present was what stopped me from saying anything more than how rude you and your husband are. And please understand the proper way to address a grown woman is NOT 'Honey.' I am not your honey. And for your information I did not curse anyone at your North Area store. I called the NA store to in fact inquire if OUAC has a corporate location to file a complaint about the poor service that I initially received when dropping off my items. What I said was I don't know who the employee was but she was a b*#@! Peggie (and I am sure the name is spelled correctly because when asked for her name she unprofessionally came from behind the counter and stood over my shoulder and said "it's -ie make sure you spell it right." Really? What proprietor treats a customer as such.
Todd (Peggie's husband) then follows me out of the store and proceeded to launch personal one sided insults. Mr. Hines, very rude and unprofessional. Get a dictionary & thesaurus so that you don't sound ignorant when you spew your hateful words.
I will give credit where credit is due and will state that the new owners have improved on the look and smell of the store and the young ladies that are employed at the WA store are very polite but that won't last long with such rude and hateful owners and the poor level of customer service. FYI Peggie-Word of mouth is the best advertisement good & BAD!
