Re: “Buddy Roe's Shrimp Shack

If you want to have some good food and excellent entertainment, then you need to go to Buddy Roe's Shrimp Shack in Mt Pleasant. Ronnie and Kim Johnson are two of the nicest people you will ever meet and when you go to Buddy Roe's they make you feel like you are family and they appreciate you coming there. Ronnie is the most talented person in the lowcoutry and we are so happy that we have a great place to go and hear first class entertainment. With the addition of his new chef Adam,Buddy Roe's Shrimp Shack only has one place to go and that is to the top of the list .

Thanks for all the good times and can't wait to try out your new menu.

Re: “Buddy Roe's Shrimp Shack

Our favorite place in all of Charleston. The atmosphere is so laid back and Carolina Beach you want to kick off your shoes, have some shrimp and a cold one. Their food is all fresh, local and incredible. The owners Ronnie & Kim Johnson go out their way to make everyone feel they are the most important person in the place. Ronnie Johnson may be the best artist in the Southeast much less Charleston. You really got to hear & see his show. To sum it up, this is the place in Charleston for great food, great friends, and fabulous music.

Re: “Buddy Roe's Shrimp Shack

What's not to like about Buddy Roe's? Lemon-pepper shrimp is scrumptious as are the home-cut french fries. Diane is a most attentive hostess at lunch. Music at night is great. Not only do you get to hear Ronnie and Kim Johnson perform, but he brings in great talent to accompany him (Chris, Tom). Ronnie and his wife, Kim, are wonderful hosts.

As for any of the complaints I've read, I question whether these people have let their servers know. I've always found that Ronnie and Kim will make it right. They're all about great service.

Re: “Buddy Roe's Shrimp Shack

Been there for lunch, dinner and entertainment. Food is good. Lots of variety in the shrimp. Atmosphere is laid back and mature. Fun time all around.

Re: “Buddy Roe's Shrimp Shack

Chef Adam Palmeno from Key West is a great addition to BuddyRoe's with his BaHa Fish Tacos and Seared Tuna. He adds another great reason to visit this cool beachy spot that the New York Post called "the sleeper hit of the day". They also have live music and musicians like Jeff Cook of the super group "Alabama" sittin in when in town.
Hey, but don't just take my word....try it for yourself......taste is in the "Shrimp"!

Re: “The Dive

They have to be that way jerkwad. It is called the Naval WEAPONS Station, douche. Thinks before you speak next time. Better yet, save us all the bs and just shut up Ricky Retardo

Re: “The Dive

Security are d**ks!!! They have no idea what a rock concert is. DON'T go here for a rock show if you want to have cause they will kick you out. The Dive is exactly that a dive. Maybe if they lighten up it'd be worth it but not with the people they have working it now. Don't go here

Re: “Art's Bar & Grill

Gotta love Art's. It's the local's spot in Mt. Pleasant with great live music almost every night. The house band on Friday nights is especially fun. The food is great too. Highly recommended.

Re: “Daniel Island Grille

My family and I love this place. Rockin' family friendly during the day, and party at night, at least weekend nights for now :-) Oh yeah, and the food seems to get better everytime we visit!

Re: “Daniel Island Grille

We have been open for 2 years and please notice that I only gave myself 4 stars....that's because we know that we have to come in everyday and work hard at getting better. There is one thing you will be assured of at The DIG and thats hospitality! We are proud of the food, the staff, and the bar/restaurant itself. Come and give us a shot, I know you will be pleasantly surprised!

As far as Island residents' comments; this is coming directly from Brian Mahoney, owner at the Daniel Island Grille, If I find out you are slamming me because you are affiliated with the other restaurant down the street please stop and let your credentials stand on there own merit. I hate that you have time to slam the competition but you obviously do. If you do not have affiliation than please come by the DIG and ask for me I would like an opportunity to change your views.

Re: “Buddy Roe's Shrimp Shack

I have been a fan of Ronnie's and Kim's for many years. The food and music is wonderful. This is the most laid back place in Mt. Pleasant. I like the fact that it is for the middle age crowd. I have never met anyone in Buddy Roe's out of line. Everyone seems to enjoy each other's company. You will leave there meeting new friends and when you go back you feel right at home.

Love this place!!!!!

Re: “Rendezvous Bar and Grille

This is definitely an upscale place in terms of the decor. Gorgeous tile floors, upscale bathrooms and beautiful dark wood on the bar. The live music, availability of TVs and atmosphere could make this one of my favorite places to go. The food IS very good, but not in a "upscale" way, but that is not my complaint.

My complaint is, that after 10pm, men cannot enter without taking off their hat (fine-that's understandable) and TUCKING in their shirts. No matter what kind of shirt is is. Tuck in your "obscene gestured" t-shirt and your fine. Business men, dorks, and men out in a truly upscale locale in downtown Charleston tuck their shirts in. My fiance (a clean-cut federal officer) dresses nice when out wearing appropriate shoes and pants and an untucked button-up collared shirt. When not at work, he prefers his shirt untucked, big deal.

This bar is nice, but not so nice you should be required to tuck your shirt in, especially after 10pm. It is a BAR in N CHARLESTON. (Also, not trashing N Charleston, I own a new home in N Charleston in a good school district). You will see the occasional "riff raff" here or there after 10pm in any bar, shirt tucked in or not.

Wouldn't the simple requirement of a collared shirt make more of a difference in this case? Untucked, it still looks better than a tucked in t-shirt!
