Re: “Tommy Condon's Irish Pub & Seafood Restaurant

Great place to go for Beers and Music. Best part about this place is the Band, Bartenders, and Beers. It is not the best place to eat nor the best "Irish Bar" but the music and atmosphere has always made it ideal for me.

Re: “Wings Neighborhood Bar & Grill

This place is horrible. Don't waste your time or money unless you like dealing with a bunch of rude, drunk bartenders. This is one of those places that has no semblance of control, there is no one in charge, and the drunks just do whatever they please. If your not a "regular" you get ignored like a hole in the wall. This place is just another dive bar with really bad live music, mediocre food, and employees that do whatever they want. Its like a McDonald's with a bar. Take it or leave it, but if the bartender/server who waits in you is already drunk, well you just get to deal with it. Long waits for drinks, and wings that taste like shoeleather. Whoever owns and runs this place needs to take some hospitality courses and learn how to hire something other than the bottom of the barrel.

Re: “Buddy Roe's Shrimp Shack

I have followed Ronnie for years and he just gets better. Buddy Roe's is his best venue yet. Great music, great food and great FUN!

Re: “Buddy Roe's Shrimp Shack

I have known Ronnie Johnson since the early 80's when we both worked together in Wild Dunes. I've been to 3 clubs that he has owned, 2 in Mt. Pleasant, and 1 on Isle of Palms and I must say the current location is my favorite! At the gateway to Sullivan's Island, with a great outdoor deck, putt putt course, great entertainment (thanks for bringing Robert Hutto back to the area), wonderful food-the best fried shrimp around! Staff is very friendly, and Ronnie is always around to greet and chat with his customers.

It's a great low-keyed, casual and comfortable environment, love the deck, great oyster roasts, and overall a great place to hang with friends, meet new friends, enjoy good food, and fabulous entertainment. I am in my late 40's and lots of people my age there.

And no Josh, I am not getting free food for posting this review, I like to support those that I know have worked very hard to be the success that they are!!!

Re: “Buddy Roe's Shrimp Shack

I live in Columbia and come to the IOP several times a month and wouldn't think of going anywhere but Buddyroes. It has the best atmosphere, food and friendliest people. The best place to party in Charleston.

Re: “Buddy Roe's Shrimp Shack

I have known Ronnie for over 20 years. He is a great singer, entertainer and just an awesome guy! With his music he will get you off your feet and you will have a fabulous time dancing the night away...or just watch others making 'a fool' of themselves (the gator!!!) He and his beautiful wife Kim are wonderful people and you just can't help but love them!

Re: “Buddy Roe's Shrimp Shack

I've never eaten at Buddy Roe's but I hear the food is great. I go b/c Ronnie and Kim are great people, the staff is friendly and hard working, and the music is always excellent. The sound system in this room is exquisite and the people working it know what they're doing. You can go and listen to songs you know and love played by highly accomplished musicians and you can hear original music by artists we should all know but probably don't. I'm a music lover and I love Buddy Roe's!

Re: “Buddy Roe's Shrimp Shack

I have known Ronnie Johnson for over 20 years. He is an awesome singer and person! I have followed him from Edgars at Wild Dunes to his newest venue Buddy Roes! Some of his covers are better than the original artist! Buddy Roes has a great, laid back, friendly atmosphere. The food is tasty and the entertainment is excellent. I highly recommend this establishment. Words can't express what an awesome experience Buddy Roes provides! Wish I could go there more often!

Re: “Buddy Roe's Shrimp Shack

WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
We love to go to Buddie Roe's as much as we can for good times. There is always live entertainment with a great mixture of music that is great.

The atmosphere is laid back and feels like your in a bar in Key West Fl. Much dancing & drinking all night long.

Food is great, especially the shrimp baskets. This is also a great place to have a rehearsal dinner, office party or other function. Kim Johnson & the staff will work with you to put together a menu that works for everyone.

Ronnie Johnson has been entertaining people in the area since i moved here in 98. I have been going to see him sing or to one of his bars since then. Thanks for all of the great times!

Re: “Buddy Roe's Shrimp Shack

First visited Buddy Roe's this past November on a girl's weekend. We had the best time!! Everyone was so friendly! We has some great food and the band was really a blast!! I haven't danced that much in years. I can't wait to go there again this summer!

Re: “Buddy Roe's Shrimp Shack

Really hard to find good food/music in one place. Buddy Roe's excellent food and some of the best entertainment on the East Coast, constantly bringing in a variety of well know acts to add to the already great Ronnie and Chris show. Don't miss it if in the Mt. Pleasant/Charleston area!!
