Always a great meal at Coast, the interior and outside dining areas are fun and really well done. Its a great place to go with a small group, service is excellent.
Its def. on the high side with prices, but its WELL worth it. I can easily say they have the best Buffalo Shrimp in town.
Loved it! Was a great time, get their early though because the place fills up quick.
If you don't like oysters, the shrimp and fish are awesome as well.
Oysters are great, views are spectacular.
I currently work in the #2 rated nightclub in the WORLD, "LIV" with is located inside the famed Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach, FL. And last years Platinum Ball rivaled ANY event the our club as produced. If you TRUELY want to have a great time on the east coast and can't make it to Miami for NYE, I HIGHLY recommend you purchase your ticket now for this event before you're left outside in the Charleston cold on 12/31/2011 wishing you had taked this advice from a Miami party professional.
I went last year and the event was amazing. I bought a vip room and from what i remember it had everything we asked for plus some food which was great. I highly recommend going this year as I have already bought two passes for it! Good luck getting tickets, I know they usually sell out quick!
Best atmosphere for a music venue in town and continues to bring in top notch acts for a very good price. The deck may be my favorite bar in town
Sorry, I don't see a problem with being treated warmly and graciously. We had a group dinner on Thanksgiving evening, the place was packed, and we all had one of best dinners we've ever had. My husband is a steak lover, and he ranked Hall's higher than Grill 225, Neil Jordan's and Oak. The service was outstanding, the specialty cocktails were great. This is our new go-to place.
I have been to Husk only for lunch so far, but am excited to try them again for dinner and Thanksgiving.
The first time I went to Husk, it was only on recommendation and I must admit I was worried. They change their menu every day, and what if I didn't like it? I've been too entirely too many places claiming to serve southern food, southern style food, or a twist on the south. Well, Husk did NOT disappoint.
Our waiter was amazing. He was hilarious and sweet, he gave his recommendations and was even ballsy enough to say his least favorite dish, which I happened to order. With four people at our table we managed to try almost everything.
The rolls the give you at the beginning are divine. The cocktails are amazing. I must admit that I have no heat tolerance so I can't recommend anything with jalepeno vodka but that Copper Lantern is to die for.
I got tenderloin that was cooked to perfection. I have tried the shrimp and grits which were delicious. These are how grits should be... not some watery mush. Thick and big and yum.
Oatmeal pie for desert, you know you want it.
And if you go on a day with rabbit soup, fear not, and dive in.
PS. Anyone who is scared of pork lard needs not to eat at any place claiming to serve southern food. Come on, we store our bacon grease here!
Great for catering also!! Catered our wedding at Folly, their catering director Hope is a true doll, very knowledgeable, and extremely nice!! Highly reccomend!!
Dear FCB!
OK! OK! OK! I did not clearly state myself!!!!! Ron's does not charge $5 ON WEDNESDAY NIGHTS for the Lowcountry Blues Club jams. They do charge $5 or a bit more at the door when they have performers on weekends and for special occasions.
If you are looking for $1 drafts like back when you were a cheap kid in college or high school, the drinks cost more than that. Most bar stools or chairs are not as comfy as the couch at home. Maybe you should stay home in moms basement and drink up dads beer!
The ADULTS are at Ron's WA on Wednesday nights and they are having a lot of ADULT fun, drinking a lot of intelligently priced ADULT beverages and listening and dancing to some great blues music.
So don't be a pill! Get out spend a few bucks and support local live music.
Erica is the most wonderful person in the world
Can i join you at Moes??? dang bro" that's all you had to say!!!
Sooooo much fun
My husband and I enjoy Social for Happy Hour. It's not crowded then, service has always been great and the drinks and appetizers are really a good value. Also they had Pinot Noir from Oregon!
I was there for the Badd Kitty Lingerie Masquerade.. and had a blast! two very enthusiastic thumbs up... Fred Krugrr was a bad ass D.J., Jimbo was bartending himself, and there was just a lot really cool, fun people.. for a change, in west ashley anyway; usually not my fav scene or people out there. but i'm glad i went, it was ALL REALLY GOOD TIMES:)
This will be a great show! Seen her on stage with Clay Aiken for the past 8 years and she is fabulous. Wish I was in town to go the show.
I have never, ever had a bad meal here, and I eat here semi-frequently. I have always experienced the friendliest service here - is it slow at times - sure, but this place gets busy, so be patient. I would say come here for lunch or dinner because that is their specialty. The steak and seafood dishes are fantastic. Brunch is not bad but I think they're still getting their groove for brunch. Honestly - dinner here is where it's at. Steak tips with mushrooms is to die for - and no, I don't work at Queen Anne's - nor do I personally know anyone who does. With French and Italian parents, I know good food and Queen Anne's has it.
great looking bar and patio, had some awesome wings and bugers there saturday watching football
I love Sunday Brunch. It is my favorite meal. I literally look forward to it every week. I have tried tons of brunch places in town. For the longest time Moe's was my hands down favorite (RIP). Triangle was my favorite party brunch place (the food...meh) and had great service.
Red Drum...surpasses them all. The food is fantastic and includes all the choices you would want from traditional to southern to unique (for Charleston). The bartender is always on top of your drink, and they have the most generous mimosas around. I also really like that the guys get their in a pint glass so they can still feel manly.
Get the fork and knife tacos...mmmmm.
If you haven't tried it for brunch - you are missing out.
Although I haven't been recently, I know from friends that the Icehouse has always stayed true to form with great drinks, great service, and great people. I look forward to going up there soon to try their brunch, which my best friend Carroll raves about. See ya then, Woody! --Nina
Re: “Torch Velvet Lounge”
Torch is a great place to go for a good time. Great bartenders and waitresses. They make you feel welcome and their service is great. DJ MOO MOO was there the night we stopped in and he was terrific. Will definitely go back again with my friends. You meet some interesting people at Torch. You have got to stop in.
