Why was my comment removed? CCP censorship? Really?? Or is someone in Palmer's back pocket? If you think the following 2 reviews are by different people, who just happened to register and post for the first time on the same afternoon, I've got some news for you: they aren't. It's slick marketing aimed to temper a negative review. Let your product speak for itself, CC. And stop posting glowing reviews for O Ku, without identifying yourself as GM of an establishment owned by the same parent company.

Slow, long-winded service. My girlfriend said the juice tasted old and when she tried to tell the bartender she just gave her attitude. WASTE OF MONEY! Much better bars around like the Belmount or Hom.
If I could give Gene's negative stars I would.
A shame, because Gene's has a great beer selection and board games at every table is a neat concept. However, the entire staff is nothing but arrogant pretentious hipster losers that act like they are doing you a favor by giving you crappy service. I've had one or more of them be extremely rude to me and my friends almost every visit. I've had friendlier service at Dick's Last Resort. Not kidding.
The food is also very uninteresting. Honestly, there is really no reason to go there except for the large beer selection. If Gene's fired all of their employees and started over then I might consider giving it another shot. Until then I will be at Roost!
I would give it 0 stars if i could. Never in my life have I had cold, burned, soggy french toast. The waitress was horrible. I would sooner eat at a McDonalds before returning.
I don't work for an opposing club. I came, I saw and I went out. If you call a "classy club" one in which you have fat, bloated skanks onstage with "helmet hair" and a clientele of alcoholics, losers and violent bikers...I guess it all depends on your definition of the word "classy."
As for reasonable dance prices, how is $50 a lap dance from some toothless, smelly skank considered "reasonable"? I have a mutual friend who delivers pizzas to this place and can verify everything that I have said about the club and its "classy" dancers.
You people at Diamonds North need to not be so sensitive to criticism. Just because someone offers a critical opinion or one that isn't favorable to your club doesn't mean that they work for a rival club and want to hurt your business. Your business is already hurting. How do I know? The rows and rows of empty parking spaces in your parking lot. It's a hangout for losers and alcoholics who many of them are way too old to be hanging out in said establishments.
Terrible service, terrible food, horribly LOUD club music in the middle of the day and terrible TV coverage. (They "offer" MLB package but only show 1 or 2 games because they have 1 or 2 receivers and lots of splitters.) Appears the only way to get good service is to be buddy-buddy with the owner who is usually behind the bar making drinks for himself and his friends (not helping out with any of the other drink orders).
My experience last night at Hatchell's was horrible. My fiance were going to the movies last night and wanted to eat somewhere close to the theatre. Even though we had been to Hatchell's before and hadn't been super impressed, we decided to give it another try. When we got there, we told our waiter that we were trying to make a 7:40 movie (this was around 6:50), and he said it shouldn't be a problem. However, he made no attempt to speed up our service at all throughout the meal. When asking about the beer menu, we found out that most of the beers were no longer available, and the prices listed on the menu were not accurate. Once ordered, it took about 10 minutes just to get our beers. I could understand if the place was packed, but we were the only ones sitting outside, and there were about 4 seated tables inside. We then ordered the grilled chicken sliders and the sirloin quesadilla with no mushrooms. The sliders came out in about 15 minutes and were decent. The bread was chewier than it should have been, but, overall, they were edible. Then the waiter came out about 10 minutes later to inform us that the quesadilla somehow didn't make it into the computer. Ok, things happen. Again, my fiance asked for it to not have mushrooms. When it came out, it was full of mushrooms, and the "sirloin" looked more like a cross between roast beef and turky lunch meat. I wouldn't even touch it. My fiance said something to the waiter about it having mushrooms, but he made no attempt to right the wrong. Around 7:30, I went over to the theatre by myself and left my fiance to pay the bill. He ended up having to go to the bar to pay it, because the waiter never came back to pick it up. Overall, the food was sub-par and the service was abysmal. With so many delicious places to eat in this area, I'm surprised this one stays in business.
THE WORSE BAR I HAVE EVER BEEN IN. TOOK THIRTY MINUTES JUST TO GET A BEER. EACH TIME WAIT FOR A DRINK WAS MINIMUM 15 MINUTES . MY GUESS IS BECAUSE ME AND FRIENDS WERE DRESSED NICE AND THIS BAR IS LIKE A WHITE TRASH HOLE IN THE WALL. THEY GET ONE STAR BC COULD NOT KEEP UP WITH MY ORDER SO MY TAB WAS ONLY 18$ WHEN SHOULD HAVE BEEN WELL OVER THAT.
This place is absolutely horrible. This is a definite do not go. I asked for a rum an coke and the bartender actually asked me "what's in it?". The drinks are overpriced as others have mentioned and the food is even worst. I ate the shrimp and was practically out of commission. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. The 'relatively' new owners have run this place into the ground.
We ate there once a few months back. Ordered the "jerk chicken". I'm a restaurant owner/manager and I hate it when customers get a slightly underdone piece of chicken and refer to it as "raw". I can find no other term to describe this chicken we received at Coconut Joe's other than RAW. It was literally cooked about 1/8" on either side. Like on the grill for 30-45 seconds, flip, 30-45 seconds on the other side. The entire center (75% of the chicken breast) was jelly raw.
The reaction of the restaurant was like it didn't matter a whole lot.
The manager offered us dessert.
If Diamonds North is so great, how come it's always dead on the weekends when I drive by there? And how come y'all are having live bands perform now on some nights instead of the skank dancers?
I have never writen a review on establishment before, but I feel I have to after this past Sunday. So you call yourself a sports bar and your not prepared for a NATIONAL sporting event like the Woman's World Cup!!!!! I could not understand why you would not have enough wait staff on hand for an event such as this so that my friends and I, that are sitting at a table, did not have to order two beers at a time or even go to the bar and order a drink due to your wait staff being slow and under staffed. What's sad is that a few of my friends that I was sitting with kept stating that this is "typical JI King Street Grille" Also folks in my party had to litterally leave the table and look for our server to get our check once the game was over. Truly have some major concerns for this King Street Grill and its patrons come this upcoming football season. TV's great, food good, beer good if its not the second of the two you had to order at the same time thats a little warm now, and service well...... SUCKS!!!!!
Would be nice if they paid better attention to their food. The jumbo wings had to be a joke as they were the smallest and driest we had ever had. Beer is on the pricey side and the staff seems to have no passion for the job or the guests.
I've been a couple times now, hoping that the experience would improve, but it hasn't at all. The hostesses are impolite, the service is spotty (but at least the wait staff is friendly), but my main issue is the food. Every time I've visited I have requested a burger as rare as they will cook it, yet every time it comes out like charcoal. The fries and onion rings are decent, but could be way better. It's a great atmosphere to stop and have a drink, just don't eat the food.

Another Mount P bar that has an open roll up door between the "outside" smoking area and the supposed inside non-smoking area.
Bad enough that they have slowly but surely been enclosing the outside area, but the addicts stand in that roll up door and blow their poison in at you.
If you wish to avoid second hand smoke, avoid Wild Wing Mount P.

On Wednesday 25 May I took my co-worker to lunch at Buccas. We ordered the special (Fried Chicken, Potato Salad and Baked Beans). There was only one other couple in the establishment. My co-worker's chicken came out black like coal which she told the waitress. The waitress brought another piece of chicken and said that the cook (Brian) had said that if she didn't like that one she would have to pay for both orders weather she ate it or not. At this point I got mad and asked for the owner since we have been regular customers since the place opened. Nobody was in charge, there was just the bar tender, a waitress, and Brian the cook who never came out. This totally ruined our lunch and my co-worker's birthday lunch. Will not return and plan on announcing in our SPAWAR Blog to avoid this place, unbelievable rude and unprofessional attitude.
I thought the food was overpriced for not being anything fancy. In addition, I asked the server to leave something off my plate, but she put it on there anyway and then had the nerve to get into an argument with me about whether or not I should still pay for it. She charged me for the same plate twice. It was an awful dining experience and I will not be returning. There are too many other places with better food and better service.
Ok..... Steakhouses should know their cuts of meat... Right? Neil Jordans tried to push off a NY Strip for a Ribeye. The justification from the waitress.... She pointed out the "eye" of the Ribeye for me. I wasn't buying it and neither was my friend sitting next to me who ordered the exact same piece of meat. His was a real Ribeye but believably it did not have an "eye" either. I can't believe the stupidty that went on at this restaurant on this day! I wasn't upset but I would have loved a Ribeye because that is what I ordered. The manager came over and removed the meal but only after I requested his appearance. We had 6 people at my table and they were through eating by the time they were willing to bring me what I had ordered. By then I was just not willing to hold up our entire party so I could eat the ribeye I ordered.... by myself! Too bad you can't give ZERO STARS! This is a Steakhouse and has the appearance of class and elegance.... enjoy it from the outside because its not worth it!!!!
This place is garbage....please dont waste your time going...drinks are watered down and food is terrible. Dont be fooled by all the 5 star/ "employee" ratings you see on here....you can definitely do better than this place
I had a comment on here about how I was harassed by the staff. My buddy walked out on his thirteen dollar tab (which was a misunderstanding, and he went back and paid the next day). I was kept there by the waitress and bouncer and was threatened to had the police called on me for someone else tab. This comment some how was erased from the comment area. What kind of shady web site is this.
