Threshold isn't just a "location" for other companies to use, it's a theatre company that produces quality productions and doesn't charge an arm and a leg to go see them. In fact, I saw that their latest production, The Exact Center of the Universe, a beautifully written dramady (drama and comedy), is only $10. Plus they always have a freebie preview show. The theatre building itself is small but well appointed with comfortable chairs, and all the bells and whistles which go along with great productions. At Threshold you don't get bare minimum sets and all white lighting. They truly try to give you scenic and lighting production elements along with terrific acting and quality plays. If you haven't visited Threshold Repertory Theatre, you are missing out! There's a couple of great places to eat close by too and a chocolate shop. What more could you want?!
I had my wedding rehearsal dinner/party at the Maritime Center on Halloween of 2008 and it was a blast! I will never forget the hours we spent "sittin on the dock of the bay" living the moontime...
What a great way to get exercise!! Zumba is really a party. Kelly is abosolutely wonderful. She makes it fun while you have a great workout. Though I am a senior, I hang in with the others in the class. It makes me feel young physically and mentally.
Deuce Theater scores again. If you believe in having great theater in Charleston you need to go to Duncan Storm.
I love the Recreation Department! It is wonderful and Beautiful. They have lots of events that you can go to, and the people that work there are so sweet and nice! When you are feeling hungry they have vending machines! So bring your Money and shoot some hoops at the Isle of Palms Recreation Department!

This class is fantastic! I would recommend to anyone!
This is a GREAT place to listen to local Acoustic music! No bar noise, holds about 90 people. Sit at small tables that seat 4 people. Good refreshments. Very close to the performer -- superb interaction with the audience -- and ONLY $10!!!
I haven't been to the square onion in years - and for no particular reason other than I'm not usually nearby at lunchtime. But it was always delicious and the first summer they opened I was adicted to their Caprese Sandwiches. Heavens knows how many of them I ate in those 3 months. Anyway, with the recent weather having been hotter than the hinges on the back door of hell, I thought a cold summer sandwich would be just the thing. So, I stroll into the Square Onion with my mouth already watering. Then, I notice the daily special, and I ordered that instead. It was the most delicious heirloom tomato sandwich! There were juicy and flavorful bright yellow heirloom tomatoes layered with softened goat cheese, fresh basil, really good quality olive oil, and balsamic vineger. All of this lovliness was inside a perfect roll -- soft and chewy on the inside, crusty and lightly toasted on the outside. I had planned on eating 1/2 today and saving the other for tomorrow, yet I found myself stuffing my face until the entire sandwich was gone. I am now sitting back in my office chair, groaning, and wondering how I'm going to face a full afternoon of work. By the way, the side I chose today was edamame salad. It was solidly good, light - yet filling, and so much healthier than usual side choices that accompany sandwiches. So, 5 Stars to the Square Onion!!! I'll be back next week!!
Both Muddy Waters provide some of the best coffee and just plain good fellowship than those other places. Prices are right and the west ashley one offers great sandwiches. Visit one today!
I came up with the name 'Porter, Smoked' and now I've been banished to the Commonwealth of Northern Marianas Islands, very far from all that delicious beer. Wish I'd thought of a more creative title for such a heady brew. All they have out here is San Miguel and Red Horse. Maybe I can find some fresh tuba on Guam... I <3 Saipan! Cheers Dave & Jamie
I love the Yorktown! This WWII ship was in the Battle of Midway. They have an amazing Medal of Honor Museum on board..
Loved it! Will be back next year. Ken, get a grip! You obviously didn't get a good ride on the mechanical bull. Glad you will not be there next year.
