Out of the ballpark! Sweet CeCe's is nothing like the other frozen yogurt places we've been to in Charleston. It's fro-yo on steroids! Staff was well trained, the place was spotless, the selection was huge, and the flavors were unbelievable. It tasted like rich ice cream; but, they said it was gluten free, and non-fat. We're definitely going back - loved it!!! VERY CHARLESTON!
My new favorite, recently discovered, take out spot! I order out and get the basil rolls, green papaya salad, and chicken curry - all are great! They have a nice dining room and one day I'll make plans to dine in.
It would appear all of these reviews were written awhile ago right within the first few months of opening. I have to say Hom is now my favorite burger place in town. Not only that, it is now rocking the best brunch in Charleston. The burgers may seem smaller than average but they are packed with great ingredients that are rich in flavor and super filling. For those who shy away from beef, they offer a whole range of veggie options and an skewer of mini chicken sammies. They have the best shoestring fries and their smoked onion remoulade is orgasmic.
Their brunch includes burger benedicts and duck hash but by far the best dish is their Fried Chicken BLT. Served on Texas toast with fried chicken thigh, its the most delicious chicken sandwich in town.

Let me start by saying I am rather disgusted by the fact that someone has enough hatred for EVO to "dislike" any positive review or comment on here. Really? What did this restaurant do to you? I won't let that affect my review of what I consider the best pizza in Charleston.
Why is this the best pizza in Charleston? Why does my opinion count? Actually, pizza taste is more subjective than any other food out there. It seems that some people think the best pizza comes from NY. Other people only like the thick Chicago style deep dish pies. I can appreciate all styles of pizza, and I used to make them as a part time job as a teenager. However, my true pizza purist side really appeared while living in Italy for 3 months (and during multiple return trips). While I lived in a little suburb of Torino called Venaria Realle, I learned that most popular pizza in Italy was Pizza Napoletana, which originated from Naples. This style had thin crust with light toppings, and was cooked in a wood fired oven. The wood fire always added a wonderful touch of smoke to the crust, while providing a high heat level to crisp things up. When you ordered a Pizza Margherita, you would get an 8" pie with a light covering of sauce, frest cut tomatoes, house made mozzarella cheese (I preferred to opt for Mozzarella di Buffalo), and just the lightest touch of seasoning from a couple basil leaves. This was pizza perfection to me. I tried this pizza from many places during my stays, and it was always delicious.
Now that I live in Charleston, I often miss this Napoletano pizza experience. Then, I discovered EVO. Extra Virgin Oven (EVO) takes pride in producing the most accurate representation of true Italian pizza you will find in this part of the country. They offer the same fresh ingredients and even feature a true wood fired pizza oven. The crust is always cooked to a perfect crisp level, and they even seem to have the dough chemistry worked out to match EU. To add some American spice to the traditional dish, they offer something called a Pork Trifecta. Sweet Jeebus, the Trifecta is delicious. I am still an American, and I love bacon. The PT gives you the bacon fix you needed, along with some house made sausage and pepperoni. I think the combination of tradition with an American pork lover's wet dream make this the best pie in CHS.
Aside from the orgasmic talk about the pizza, EVO also delivers on beer selection and service. I have never had an issue with the waitresses, as they are quick to take orders and deliver food. The craft beer selection had slacked off for a while, but seems back to normal. I also have enjoyed the breads I have tried from their bakery.
While there may be many NY pizza purists on Citypaper, if you love fresh ingredients, you really need to try EVO for yourself. I don't expect it to be #1 on everyone's list, but I would hope the flavor might convince you that these guys know what they are doing. All this pizza talk is making me hungry! Cheers!
Wow, wow, wow! I was initially intimidated by the set up of the Grocery's menu, but a friend had been raving about it, so we broke down and went for restaurant week. So glad we did! After reviewing the menu options, we opted to order off the regular menu. The clam appetizer with merguez sausage is an excellent combination of flavors. The bacon wrapped duck breast combined two of my favorite things flawlessly, without seeming fatty. My only complaint is that there wasn't more butternut squash! For dessert, the Banana Pudding Parfait was a perfectly elevated rendition of a southern classic. The Churros, which the server mentioned was the signature dessert, were awesome, and big enough to share. Not only was the food outstanding, but the service was impeccable. We will definitely be back!
Wow! On Saturday night we had one of the best meals we've ever had in Charleston at Al Di La.
Wow. Al di la is hands down the best Italian food in Charleston. Great food, atmosphere, and staff. Highly recommend the pork and lamb dishes while you are there paired with something from their wine menu. SO GOOD. This restaurant will definitely be a repeat visit on my next trip to Charleston.
Back home is an awesome place for great food and drinks. very friendly staff and a good place to just let go!!! Im a former employee of the bar i quit about two months ago. I go back for drinks once in a while and will continue to go. please everyone help thisw bar continue to be one of the only good places in WEST ASHLEY TO HAVE FUN @. cheese curds are awesome but i hated making them. Good luck guys. GO G-MEN!!!!!

This place is excellent. The best Corned Beef and Pastrami in SC. The soup is delicious and the Danish - the best I have had outside NYC. All made in House. Making the trip here weekly, its worth the drive.

I agree wholeheartedly with this place being the best NY pizza in Lowcountry. We were so thrilled with our pizza when we ate in that we swore it would not be our last time. We drove there after a friend recommended it. The crust was bubbly at the top, very crispy on the outside but tender inside. It was a definite folder, which verified its authenticity in our opinion. If you don't need 2 hands to hold a slice, its not a NY style pizza. The sauce was on mark and full of bold flavor with the right amount of cheese. We were raving and swooning until we saw the check. We think the price per piece is a bit steep but that being said, when you are the best in town, maybe you can charge this much. We loved it and would come back more often if the price per piece were lower. Still, we definitely missed it and come back once every couple months just to get our fix. Good job and well done! We leave so full that we never have room for dessert!

CPH is my go to Mt P dinner spot on most weekends. The food is consistently good and the tap beer selection tends to be the best in town (in most cases). I have probably tried every burger on the menu, and they are all delicious. I usually order my burgers rare, and am never disappointed. This quality of beef was not meant to be ordered well done. So damn juicy! The lamb sliders are fantastic, but I found out they can also make you a Big Lamb (full sized lamb burger) which takes it to another level. The truffle fries are evil, with that perfect touch of salty truffle oil flavor and a light sprinkle of Parmesan. Lately, I have been ordering the Fish and Chips, as they seem to know how to do that dish better than most places around CHS. My only complaint is that the beer prices can occasionally be on the high side, but it doesn't deter me from ordering a few brews before and during dinner. If you love burgers and craft beer, CPH should be your new home.

Love this place - - favorite Korean place in Charleston. Excellent quality and prices and friendly staff.
I am a big fan of the shelter. What they did architecturally to maximize and create a terraced open space from an existing structure is super. They have had time to refine their menu as well and some of their items really stand out, like their shrimp dip, which is an especially well crafted version of an already excellent local recipe. I think the place is an innovative treat.
We got married at the end of October and used Cru as our caterers. They absolutely killed it. I highly recommend them!
