Re: “Juanita Greenberg's Nacho Royale

Juanita Greenbergs is a jewel on King St. Its got a sign out front that invites a dog friendly atmosphere. The staff enures that the restaurant is kept spotless and sanitary, and food is delivered promptly to your table in virtually no time. Its a place where you can let your kids run around out back and play hide and seek, while you enjoy your favorite margarita in a relaxed, fun atmosphere. The patio area smells of Carolina Jasmine, as it is growing on the walls around the outdoor seating. I would recommend that anyone and everyone come enjoy this place. Also every Wednesday night one of the best female vocalists in town performs free to anyone who will listen, So come out and see Jordan Igoe and Friends. It will change your life. If you dont like the atmosphere clearly stated on the chalkboard out front, then go to McDonald's...lookin at you, Beth.

Re: “Lucy's Grill

The best restaurant on Seabrook Island. Lucy's has great food, great bar and a great waitstaff. The only negative I'd have with the place is it tends to get loud when it's busy.

Re: “Stono Breeze Waterfront Bar

The Saturday afternoon Band ( 4 to 7) is very entertaining. The Crowd is energetic and engaging so it makes for a fun place to enjoy a few drinks!! Amanda and her crew provide good service in a very hectic environment. I highly recommend you give this place a try!!

Re: “Lucky's Southern Grill

I am a fan of good food and friends have told me I ought to try your appetizers 'cause they are really good although I am not much of a big eater. Now, when it comes to really good musicians 'in my opinion', I'll frequent an establishment just for that reason. Jeff Bateman is one guitarist I have had the pleasure of listening to and he's worth the trip. Not sure who he has if anyone accompanying him, But will give it my best to come out this Wednesday 4/25/2012.

Re: “La Norteña

Best Mexican food in Charleston ! Good service, amazing food and smooth music on Friday nights. You can tell the management really has a handle on things. Nice lighting and relatively quiet even at full capacity. I grew up in Charleston and this is by far this freshest and zestiest set up I've ever had. Their salsa and guac are great, decent beer selection. Don't be to proud for Rivers Ave., you won't be disappointed !

Re: “Charleston Beer Works

Went to CBW to watch NCAA tourney... had a burger and FF. It was awesome, hand ground burgers and hand-cut french fries. Huge selection of beers and a bunch of Holy City drafts. I am honestly impressed. One of the patrons told me that the cheese steaks were extremely good. I know what I will be having next time... Keep up the good work

Re: “39 Rue De Jean

Only went in for the mussels, but they were out of this world good.
Bacon and Blue cheese with lots of bread to sop up the love.

Re: “El Dorado

I cannot believe El Dorado has only one review.
I love El Dorado for may reasons...but the food is first.
Family run. Great service. Consistent food. Generous proportions. Moderate pricing.
I have been ordering the same few items for 15 yrs. Always good...never had a 'bad' meal or lousy service. EVER. I grew up eating Mexican, both in California & Arizona before moving here. It is like coming home.
Pretty standard fare...Americanized Mexican...nothing fancy. Try the Pollo Jalisco. Crumbled chorizo over a chicken breast and covered in molten Mexican cheeses.
Now my 11 year old son is hooked on their chicken tacos with crunchy shells.
Give it a try.

Re: “Macaroon Boutique

I went in today to buy some macaroons to give to a friend and ended up also getting a bag of the chocolate & sea salt cookies plus a chocolate almond croissant--AMAZING! I'm sure I've never had a proper croissant until now. Indescribably good. And the sales lady (who is French) was perfectly lovely.

Re: “Bombay Indian Restaurant

People, if this place closes because your lazy butts can't get to NC I will be very angry. That is just what happened to Euro Cafe (Serbian)!!!! Regardless, I will never go back to N's or ToI.

Re: “Thai House

I keep going back. Today, for lunch, I started with the wonderful Thai-style hot wings that were dripping with a SPICY red pepper sauce. As a main dish I jumped into a plate of Thai-hot stir-fried basil with chicken and brown sauce. Excellent. The brown sauce by itself would be a great dish. My dining partner, not the most adventurous diner, opted for the veggie fried rice and declared it the BEST in the Charleston area. And believe me, she has sampled that dish in almost every Asian restaurant around. This place is in the same strip center as the new Kohl's in West Ashley (across the street from Home Depot). Go. Try. You'll love it.

Re: “Oil & Vinegar

Sadly, the store is no longer in business :( I went there a few weekends ago to refill my bottles but the place had been boarded up.

Rating 5 stars because when it was open, it was THE place to get fine olive oils and vinegars and super helpful staff. Got to try so many things that I normally wouldn't try there and learned to like quite a few others!

Re: “Melvin's

Always really like Melvins, living nearby its a great place to hop in for a little joe or a big joe. Fans of mustard based BBQ will not want to pass it up as this is a South Carolina institution.

The ribs (both dry and wet) are always fantastic, burgers are good, Hot dogs are pretty killer as well.

The sides are a bit weak, I'd say the best thing to get there is the fried okra and mac and cheese.

Re: “Macaroon Boutique

simply addictive cookies and croissants - a must try if you've never been. they open up around 10 or 10:30am so it's not really a good fit for some people's schedules, but if you find yourself anywhere close to them while they are open you have to go get yourself a choc&almond croissant and a bag of choc&sea salt cookies.

the couple that owns it is quite lovely if you just stop and talk to them.
