Agreed, where have you been? Best Food Truck in the Chuck!
Where are you guys?! I work downtown and every Friday I'd notice your truck at the True Value parking lot on E Bay. You hooked me with the pork belly steam buns early summer. Then the battleship & the bloody mango slushie. Then the oyster sliders after that. I also remember those delicious crispy pork tacos & then that delicious okra side dish. The fries were the best too. Sniff, I miss U guys...and the calamari!
Your number one fan, lee
put it in yr mouth
I became a fan of HMNIBBQ from their truck. Now that they have a brick and mortar location, I eat at HMNIBBQWHQ at least once a week. I really enjoy the quirky combinations of toppings and sauces. Grilled pineapple, pimento cheese, bbq bacon, and sriracha mayo is one of my favorites. For sauces they always have sweet red, vinegar, and mustard. Specialty sauces rotate regularly and include Green And Bold, which is made from green pepper jelly; Pineapple Habanero; Pear Bubbly; and Cherry Cola, just to name a few. Recently they have been making ghost pepper sauces. If you like your food to bite back, here's one place where you can match the spice to your tolerance.
The food is good, the service quick and friendly, and the prices fair.
Their food is amazing folks - go eat some banh mi sandwiches! The porter marinated beef sandwich (can't remember the name) was delicious. As is everything they serve.
Super Delicious! Crispy chicken sandwich a must! Their spring shrimp rolls w/peanut sauce are extreme fresh and yummy! Be sure to quench your thirst w/their teas :) My sandwich was made very mild spice due to Spice Shyness. *Perfect*
I had an amazing sandwich tonight! Please go check them out soon. I promise that any problems might only come from the fact theyve been open less than a week. The two are super friendly and eager to talk to everyone who comes by! Have a bite of the Marinated pork and the local shrimp spring rolls!
Thanks, City Paper readers! We're pumped to win this in the "Best Food Truck" category's inaugural year---even though winning "Best Rolling Food Machine" last year was awesome as well. Come celebrate with us on the streets! Follow us on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/roti.rolls), Twitter (@rotirolls) or iheartrotirolls.com to see where we're rolling next. It would be awesome if you City Paper folks could update our contact info as well : )
How can you go wrong? Crepes, berries, bananas, nutella, chocolate, nuts, cream cheese, custard, ice cream, holy cow! The combinations are mind boggling! They are sooo nice too!
I had a banana-nutella crepe and then later a chicken crepe. Both were delicious. If you're out on Folly and want a quick and tasty meal, then stop by Tokyo Crepes.
These days it's hard to get people to agree on things. Some people like wearing shorts all the time, but other people think you always have to dress up nice. Some people like movies with cartoons in them, but other people only like watching real people. How do you find a middle ground? You don't. It's impossible. But, there's one thing I've found where I think we can all agree: food. People like food.
Now before you argue against my statement, think about it for a second. Everyone I've ever talked to likes food. My mother likes food. My brother likes food. My stepdad likes food even more than my mom. The president likes food, too, probably. I've never eaten with him, but I can picture him sitting at a table eating a big bowl of macaroni and cheese right now. Homeless people ask me for money all the time just so they can buy food. It seems to me that food's pretty popular.
And, when you really think about it, there's a lot to like about food. It tastes good and it's good to eat. That's all I can think of for now, but those two things alone make me like food. Furthermore, I just thought of something else: Food is probably the healthiest and best thing to put in your mouth. You can ask a doctor about that.
And, so, thus, eat at this delicious crepe truck.
