Had such a tremendous experience at Sermet's last night on Daniel Island. My sister and all twelve of her co-workers from Boone, NC joined me for a great evening of food and drinks! The food was absolutely incredible and Morat's service was impeccable. From the appetizers (mussels served in a ginger lemon curry broth and fresh ceviche with just the right amount of of lime and cilantro) to the dinner entrees was well worth the few extra miles to drive to Daniel Island. I had the special of the night, pan-seared grouper (fresh off the boat) breaded with panko, honey dijon and thyme along with sweet potato, gorgonzola cheese and maple walnut raviloli drizzled with aged balsamic and also local fresh vegetables cooked perfectly. I would recommend this restaurant to any and everyone in Charleston!
I am not sure what the previous review is all about, but I am guessing there is a common trend from all the hating on top restaurants. My 3 experiences at Edmund's Oast have all been fantastic. I will go ahead and state that I don't own a single pair of "skinny jeans" or even loafers. I do have a lot of love for craft beer, creative food dishes, and especially charcuterie, which is exactly what the Oast aims for in clientele.
First, let's talk about the beer. Beer is the focus of this place, and it is unique in many different ways because of it. Edmund's Oast is not just a brew pub, but also an amazing beer bar. The brews on tap at this place will impress anyone who loves craft beer. And the selection isn't just focused on rare beers like Cantillon and JW Lees from Europe, but they also keep a nice supply of local beers on tap. I also like that they are sticking to unique beers for the house production brewery, as this doesn't step on any toes in the local brewery scene. If beer isn't your thing, the mixed drinks are pretty tasty as well. I am hooked on the Red Wedding, as bourbon is my go-to outside of beer.
The food... well, that is almost better than the beer. Chef Andy is creating some wonderful cured meats, which is an art much like brewing. At this point, I have tasted almost every item on the menu. The highlights, other than charcuterie, are dishes like the pumpkin custard, lamb meatballs, burgers, and porridge. I even enjoyed the hearts and gizzards dish, which was a first. The very first time we visited, I thought the porridge was a bit too salty, but that was quickly fine tuned to a more balanced salinity. Some of the dishes may be a bit small, but they are "small plates" after all. I still felt full after sharing a few with my table.
Finally, I think it is worth noting that the ambiance is very relaxing in EO. The wait staff is always attentive, and the restaurant always feels very clean. The decorating was all done with taste, and even the bathrooms felt high end. I have been to this place dressed in jeans and a t-shirt, and I have been there with a button up collar shirt. Either way, I never felt out of place. I hope the Oast keeps the energy going that they have shown in their short time in the Charleston restaurant/beer scene. I know that I will always be recommending this place to any new visitors.

Terrific dining experience with comfortable service and stunning food. Long have we needed a place on this side of the bridge to be proud of!
I've been to Oku a number of times for drinks late-night, but finally ate there during a happy hour one Friday night. The hostess told my friend and I that they could seat us right away (somehow even though it was packed) and then our waitress warned us the food may take a while since happy hour was so busy. The sangria was delicious and our food came out really fast. My friend and I each ordered two specialty rolls and it was some of the best sushi I've had in Charleston (and I've eaten a lot of sushi!). The manager came to our table to ask how everything was. The happy hour specials are great especially for the sushi rolls. The atmosphere is also nice and great for a girls night out or a more casual date. Overall it was a great experience and I would eat there three times a week if I could afford to!
Good burgers and Good craft beer.. What else is needed?
Very tasty burger (I had the "colorado" which was chili + cheddar cheese). House salad + house dressing was also excellent and a great price ! The prices were right and the food great - I will be going here again (Mt Pleasant location)
Page's is hands down the best restaurant in Mount Pleasant. Food is excellent, staff friendly and accommodating and prices very reasonable. We eat there three or four times a week and have never been disappointed. I cannot understand the negative post above unless it was written by a disgruntled employee who just couldn't measure up.

My wife and I stopped in last week as I kept noticing out of the corner of my eye driving by to and from Johns Island. I'm so "HAPPY" we stopped in as to our surprise everything for a sweet tooth was covered. Why go downtown for a cupcake when you can find one better here. The selection of tarts, cakes, candies, and other sweet treats was amazing. I wish them the best. Start spreading the news, you will be happy beyond belief.

philly native who tried this sub shop for the first time today. their cheesesteak is legit and left me satisfied. I was never a fan of whiz so I don't hold it against them that it isn't available. while I prefer crisper bread the roll was decent with a good balance between a soft/crisp texture.
its a small place that feels like its family run. i sat inside and my order was brought out promptly. staff from the register to the lady who brought out the food were welcoming and friendly. decent prices too.
Frank Lee and his team are so talented. Justin, Trevor, Jason, Stacy and the staff are wonderful. Go there now. Charleston's best!

Coastal Crust did an amazing event at our house for the holidays! Their food is fantastic and the staff is exceptional. They made this event so easy by handling every last detail. Can't wait to do our next event with them!
Amazing! Had dinner there Saturday night and all four in our party were blown away! We had the walnut shrimp, black bean chicken, General Tso's chicken, shrimp fried rice, lettuce wraps, and TWO orders of crab Rangoon (we immediately ordered the second one on the first taste!). The manager is really attentive and in total command of the large crowd in the small space. We even waited in our car for our table (as it was too cold to stand on the curb) and he came to get us when our table cleared. Prices are incredibly reasonable. Cannot wait to return (often!)!
We came into to Sweeney's restaurant tonight for the first time and had the BEST service and the food was AMAZING! All four people in our party cleaned our plates completely with no left overs (which is never the case). The atmosphere was very cozy, CLEAN, and friendly. I already plan on going back later this week!

My girlfriend and I went to Triangle in Mt P on Friday night and had a wonderful dinner. It was very crowded but we were greeted within seconds and had our choice of sitting inside or on the patio. Our server was very attentive, plus two different managers came by at different points to ask if everything was good. But the real reason I came here to make a post was the food. As a quasi-vegetarian, it's not easy to find real, healthy options around town that are also yummy. Triangle is one of the exceptions. They have a plethora of delicious, health-conscious menu items. In addition to the excellent service and wonderful food, the prices are some of the best you're going to get. Charleston has a gazillion great restaurants to choose from but I can honestly say that Triangle is in my top five, maybe even top 3.
Tried out this place and enjoyed it. I indulged in the large tequila selection and the enchiladas were great. I highly recommend the chorizo paired with a moscow mule to bring out the true flavor. It's a refreshing change of pace from the refried scene.
I have been to Wild Olive on multiple occasions and have always had a wonderful experience. The food is amazing. I lived in Florence, Italy for a while and when I came back to the states I was constantly disappointed in the Italian food. However, when I found Wild Olive I was extremely pleased by the authentic Italian cuisine. The ambiance is perfect for a dinner date or a special occasion. I highly recommend dining at Wild Olive and enjoying a night out in John’s Island!
