Thank you Vickery's! I am a local and dine at Vick's often, but this was my first time with a large group. I organize monthly dinners for a women's group. Our outing at Vickery's was one of our tastiest and most fun. We aren't the easiest group to deal with...we range in age from early twenties to mid eighties, a couple of women use walkers/wheelchairs, and most of us are downright picky eaters. But the entire staff at Vickery's took fabulous care of us. The kind British hostess helped our handicapped women into and out of the elevator and to our tables. She seated us in a corner section, which enabled us to get up and move around to chat with each other without annoying other diners. Our waiter, Chris, treated us like princesses! He made notes of our "salmon well done;" "no bacon/no cheese;" "don't add any salt;" "everything on the side;" "pink in the middle, but not red;" "no onions on the soup:" etc special requests without rolling his eyes one time. Our food was served promptly and each woman's special requests were met. All the food was delicious, as it always is at Vickery's. Everyone was happy with their meal. The manager was so friendly--he came by our table and spoke with us for several minutes, making sure everything was fine. Chris didn't even flinch when we asked for individual checks...and did I mention there were 23 of us? Vickery's is definitely on our group's repeat list for our monthly get-togethers. You can't beat it for price, quality, service and atmosphere. Thank you Vickery's!
We have always loved California Dreaming for both the food and the atmosphere. Definitely a great place to go to get a great view of the peninsula! Excellent chicken fingers and salads.
I Love Montreux. Drinks are not watered down. Food is great. Entertainment is great. The staff is the best around. Outside seating. Best bar and grill in Summerville....
Very friendly and knowledgeable bartender Amber (she's pretty too).
I had a visitor from Bavaria (THE beer country) and both of us enjoyed the locally brewed Westbrook wheat beer and the delicious food. Definitely not the last time I was there!
Love Wild Wing! Bring Thomas Tillman back !
Wow! I am shocked at the bad reviews. I LIVE at Montreux. I am there nearly five times a week. I have NEVER had a bad experience. I have never seen the drunks people talk about either. In fact, one person in our group was dropping the "F" bomb rather loud and the waiter came over to say, "You're going to have to quiet down." My friend was greatly offended, but I really appreciated that.
Terrific pulled pork! My new favorite in the Charleston area. I'd eat it without sauce if Mama Q didn't serve up three delicious house-made options. . . the sangria's also a must-have. Don't skip the slaw either, both the hot and sweet are winners! Prices are extremely reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. The other menu options are solid as well, but the 'cue stands out amongst stiff Lowcountry competition, and that's saying something significant.
This is a hidden gem in Mt. Pleasant. My wife and I frequent this place, and only once have I ever had a bad experience. That one time was when my entree had probably been sitting for a few minutes, and was warm at best. Again, that was only one time. Their service and food are great. I've tried almost everything on the menu, and I haven't been disappointed yet. Their specials are also very delicious and unique. I highly recommend this place. They have a little bit of everything, and the prices are good.
excellent food, great service, nice decor, good viewing seats.
Early bird is "Out of Control", good that is. Glad they're open late for us people that don't eat till late late night. Although I do have to say, the waitresses always wear out of control things that make me and my boyfriend laugh. Also, the pictures on the wall are always weird. lol But the food makes up for it. You gotta check out "The Little Horrors" that are for sale for 25 dollars on the shelves...lol
I hesitate to write this. I don't want to go here again and have to wait a long time for a table...once people try the food...but i don't won't any negative reviews to be posted and that somehow scare anyone off.
Go here and try it. You won't be disappointed if you love local cuisine.
I've tried countless items on the menu since first stopping in and i've never had a bad item yet.
Go ahead and go anywhere in town for fried seafood..and pay 22 bucks for a seafood platter and i doubt it will taste as yummy as anything this kitchen produces.
simple food done right. choices of excellent sides. incrediable deserts what more can you ask for. Don't pay attention to any negatives and don't pay crazy prices ..this place has it all.
as far as the negative review of service..i've never had anything but excellent service so i really have no idea what thats about...actually even if the service is off on a day you choose to go don't worry about it cause the kitchen and the food is going to make up for any front end downside.
Wild Wing is great, awesome menu. Definitely something for everyone. mmmm PRETZEL BITES!
oh, 5 stars!
Best chicken and waffles EVER. You might want to ask for the honey mustard on the side (instead of on the chicken breasts), since it really doesn't go well with the maple syrup. Yummy mac n cheese, yummy fried green tomatos, VERY yummy desserts. Good prices too. This place is great. Chill and artsy, goes well in West Ashley. Reminds me of the laid-back places in Richmond, VA. I hope this place sticks around for a while, it's def a place you start to crave their food.
OMGoodness the BEST Cheesesteak. Have loved this place from when we found it.
Fries killer but the cheesesteak or wonderful cheesesteak. Really nice people and great food and if you think you are not getting what you came for try somewhere else. This place is the amazing! Make many trips there a month for several cheesesteaks for the hubby.
If you think your tab is being padded, look at your check idiot. The place is amazing, best place in summerville.Tell the owner if you have issues.Guess your bored and can't count and drink more than you realize. Two letters AA
We love CPH for selfish reasons. It is our go-to place on the way home from working downtown, late-night. They offer full menu (I think) until 1230 and you can't beat the beer selection. Try the rosemary popcorn; I would not have given it a second glance until a free sample at happy hour and now it is a sure thing everytime I go in. The mussels are great and the fries that come with them are a delicious bonus. Staff/owners seem like great people and we hope they do well. Since Vic's closed/changed owners this is an excellent substitution.
Without a doubt, the best burger and fries to be had anywhere around. My generously portioned, juicy, succulent burger was perfectly cooked to medium rare, and the choice of toppings (I ordered the Southern burger which sports a fried green tomato among other items) was really imaginative. The fries were out of this world. My wife had a terrific cob salad. Wide selection of beers (bottled and on tap), wines by the bottle or glass, and some interesting cocktail options. The decor is neither upscale nor low-end; just a comfortable, relaxing, friendly place to eat, drink and linger. The staff was genuinely friendly and attentive. (Thanks, Rob!) We will definitely be back. Want to try those lamb burgers!
I can't believe someone actually would take the time to complain about something as pedestrian as a mimosa.
A great addition to the Mt. Pleasant dining scene. We stopped by for lunch and the Fried Green Tomato Napoleon, Southwestern Salad, and California Burger were all delicious and reasonably priced. Great cocktail and beer selection as well. Will definitely visit again and often!
Damn dude, get a life.Ate there sunday and the food, music and staff were dead on.Sounds like a hater w/a check he can't cash dot dot dot lol
