I have to agree with factory connection. I have been visiting this spot since they opened and always enjoyed it. The pulled pork is always falling apart and moist. The ribs have always been juicy and well seasoned. I also love the mac n cheese. The service has been great since day one, and I have been there during some very busy times. I am big into cooking/smoking meats, and The Barbecue Joint is on par with some of my best dishes.

Great food, super service. Hosted a large party for lunch during our wedding weekend and almost everyone in the party bought the BBQ sauce sampler - it was THAT good.

Always really like Melvins, living nearby its a great place to hop in for a little joe or a big joe. Fans of mustard based BBQ will not want to pass it up as this is a South Carolina institution.

The ribs (both dry and wet) are always fantastic, burgers are good, Hot dogs are pretty killer as well.

The sides are a bit weak, I'd say the best thing to get there is the fried okra and mac and cheese.

Love the bbq joint, chicken was moist and flavorful, the hash and rice is different than others i ve had but really good and the collards were delicious, great quick lunch.

Great for catering also!! Catered our wedding at Folly, their catering director Hope is a true doll, very knowledgeable, and extremely nice!! Highly reccomend!!

Dear FCB!

OK! OK! OK! I did not clearly state myself!!!!! Ron's does not charge $5 ON WEDNESDAY NIGHTS for the Lowcountry Blues Club jams. They do charge $5 or a bit more at the door when they have performers on weekends and for special occasions.

If you are looking for $1 drafts like back when you were a cheap kid in college or high school, the drinks cost more than that. Most bar stools or chairs are not as comfy as the couch at home. Maybe you should stay home in moms basement and drink up dads beer!

The ADULTS are at Ron's WA on Wednesday nights and they are having a lot of ADULT fun, drinking a lot of intelligently priced ADULT beverages and listening and dancing to some great blues music.

So don't be a pill! Get out spend a few bucks and support local live music.

We lOVE Home Team on Sully! Great Staff! Great Service! Always a good crowd. Good Music and the food is right on time. The menu has a fair bit of variety as compared to West Ash which keeps it interesting. 1 word...PAINKILLER'S. If you havent had them yet... you need too.

The food is delicious but I really go for the musicians entertainment. Musicians I've not seen in years appear here and that's a treat for me and the friends I see there. Last time I was there Dupree Wall and singer Momma Wall were performing and what a treat. Thanks

I have always had a great experience at Smoky Oak. Great food, great prices, great portions and great beer selection. The cuban sandwich is great and their fries are fresh cut. The portions are very generous and I always have leftovers. They seem to always have good live music on the weekends too.

There are so many options to choose from on their AYCE buffet line! With a number of fresh veggies, fried chicken, homemade banana pudding, and of course the best Pulled pork BBQ... its a bargain for your belly!

my favorite place for lunch on king street! thank you to my server for recognizing that i was on my lunch hour and brought me a big to-go cup of tea to take with me back to work. i get the double decker sandwich and mac n cheese and collards.

Outstanding ribs and sauce selection, generous servings, great service. They will tell you this is the original location, and it is easy to see why there are so many locations.

As a native of NC, I found Smoky Oak very enjoyable. As a fan of BBQ and having live near Lexington, the capital of BBQ, I have found a place that its BBQ is just like what I am familiar with! The service was great and I will return eagerly! RevT

Excellent service and true southern 'cue! i travel all over the South and always enjoy coming to jim 'n nicks for their pulled pork sandwich & cheese biscuits - yummmmm! oh - and the homemade cream pie. really friendly staff!
