Re: “The Pickled Palate

I live in the OV and walked past this place a thousand times without even noticing. One day something caught my dog's eye and she wouldn't move. After looking for what she saw, I noticed it: an animatronic display of vegetables singing in a caboose (or something). After that, I always wondered what was up with this interesting place dubbed "The Pickled Palate". It took a while for me to make it over there, since they're primarily open only for lunch - but once I did get in the door, the wait was worth it. Amazing service and the lady's working the place treat every customer like their own family. Sandwiches and salads out of this world and a treasure trove of interesting nick-knacks and lowcountry decorations. One of the best gems of the area, hidden right off Coleman, in my own backyard.

Completely original cafe tucked in a garden near Shem Creek. It's mellow vibe makes it okay to kick back and relax as long as you want with friends, family, wine, and their delicious home made foods. Soups, salads, and panninis and daily specials.
