Re: “Early Bird Diner

This place is a gem. I have never had a bad meal here and we eat here at least 3 times a month. The service is great, the vibe is funky, it is kid friendly, and the food is divine. And at the price point! These people care about doing food the right way.

Re: “Stono Breeze Waterfront Bar

Great place to enjoy a burger and a beer or mixed drink and watch the Stono River boat traffic. Good live music and nice cool breeze. Very friendly folks!

Re: “Buffalo Wild Wings

The wings and boneless wings are really good. Go to the bar not the bar area, children running through the isles constantly with no parental control. Its more of a FAMILY RESTARAUNT then a so called sports bar. If want to hear children while your trying to watch your favorite team play then you might as well stay home.

Re: “Stono Breeze Waterfront Bar

The Saturday afternoon Band ( 4 to 7) is very entertaining. The Crowd is energetic and engaging so it makes for a fun place to enjoy a few drinks!! Amanda and her crew provide good service in a very hectic environment. I highly recommend you give this place a try!!

Re: “Liberty Tap Room & Grill

Awesome food and great service, I think at this point there's not a single thing I haven't tried on the menu and its all pretty good. The homemade pickles are great as are the BBQ Ribs.

Re: “Bighorn's Sports Grill

Rivers Ave near the mall is not in the heart of Berkeley county. It's close to Goose Creek but that's Charleston county. Just sayin...

Re: “Bighorn's Sports Grill

This is an awesome place to see bands - big stage, awesome sound and you can eat great food - wings, killer burgers, steaks - all night long. If you don't need to be by the beach, its a much better venue than the Windjammer plus its in the heart of Berkeley County! Going to see Diamondback this weekend!

Re: “King Street Grille

I love King St Grille. Ive been to the one DT many times and also the one out by Kiawah and had great food. However, this one is awful. We sat at the bar outside for twenty minutes in front of 2 bartenders who refused to talk to us or really even look at us. The girl bartender in the Eagles jersey might as well have been taking a nap under the bar. We got buckets and they said they couldn't split half bud light half budweiser because of some sort of inventory problem. Ive split buckets all over Charleston and never have had this problem. The food came out then sat on the bar for a while and got cold while the bartenders were "working". Ill go back to KSG, but never this one!!!!! Awful

Re: “The Dog & Duck

Hello CharlestonDawgy,
We are disappointed to hear about your less than stellar experience with the Dog and Duck in Summerville and would like to offer our sincerest apologies to you and your party. Unfortunately, the Summerville restaurant is under a different ownership group than the West Ashley and Mount Pleasant locations, so we cannot speak on their behalf. If there is anything we can do to make up for the poor service you received at your previous outing, please do not hesitate to stop by any of our three pubs. We will do our best to make it right. Thank you and have a wonderful new year.

Re: “The Dog & Duck

Cannot speak for the other locations but the one in Summerville is overall not worth the drive, the foods decent but some of the waitresses and bartenders make it difficult to have a good time. There is constant friction between them that you can sense, our waitress was being bought shots by the next table and she was definately not sober while she served us, in fact I questioned several items on our bill that weren't even ours. When I asked to see the mgr, think his name was Don, the waitress got a little irritated, and even after I expressed my disappointment about the waitress he acted as if it was normal and she continued to serve us. So we will not be visiting dog and duck anymore and I would suggest you don't waste your time

Re: “Montreux Bar and Grill

On a serious note Montreaux is awesome.. My husband and I and my friends throroughly enjoy ourselves each and every time we go there..The staff is friendly and courteous and want to make sure your enjoying yourself ..Its not the prettiest place in the world..its not a downtown charleston bar..but its homey and down to earth and you cant beat the prices on drinks or entertainment....I have consistently enjoyed myself each and every time I go there...Montreaux You guys rock...Danielle R. xoxo

Re: “California Dreaming

Went for lunch. Music was way too loud and 80's pop music just isn't my thing to listen to by the "relaxing" water. Of course, the louder the music, the louder the restaurant as everyone has to speak up louder just to be heard. I would call the ambiance "early mess hall". Ordered Blackened Chicken Alfredo. Chicken wasn't blackened at all. Just chicken with some kind of "blackenish" spice festooned up on it. Salad came with a croissant (bit odd, but ok) that was "drizzled with honey". Why? Blue Cheese dressing was a color not of this earth and inexplicably sweet. I can't take enough Tums to kill the heartburn (not sure if from the food or the amazing amount of money I paid for the pleasure of dining there).

Re: “King Street Grille

Food is great, its the only reason I come back. Buffalo shrimp are awesome, and love the waffle cheese fries.

The service though is ATROCIOUS. One time I just had to leave, my group (3 people) got seated and we never could find anybody to take orders, drinks, anything. Crazy.

The rest of the times, service has just been super slow, Takes probably 15 minutes just to get drinks. Its a shame too because the food is great.

Re: “Early Bird Diner

The chicken and waffles are my favorite and that's usually what I order. I have also had the french toast, fried green tomato BLT and cheeseburger. The food and service are always incredibly good and is always a great value for what you get. I love the local art that decorates the walls!

Re: “Montreux Bar and Grill

I love Montreux, and drive from Mt. Pleasant just to go there. Been going for 2 years, and the staff is friendly and the food is better than any other bar I can think of. The bartenders are awesome! Always something new to try. If you have a problem with the staff or bouncers, it's because you started a problem first.... Great bands and standing room only most weekends. Go see it for yourself, you wont be disappointed.

Re: “Montreux Bar and Grill

This is the best bar in Summerville. Hands down. Usually people that complain about watered down drinks are the same people that never tip. Nothing's ever good enough. You are a sad breed of human. If you can't tip, stay home. If you don't like Montreux, no one asked you to go there anyway. There are plenty of loyal patrons that will continue to frequent this place because they are good people and serve quality food along with a great selection of beers and liquors. If you have a problem with any of the security there, it's because you're probably a drunk idiot. And I like to see you call them that to their faces.
