Gorgeous interior. Had Pisco Disco cocktails, the cheese plate, the garlic shrimp, and the steak crostini. The shrimp was very salty...lots of garlic I can handle, too much salt is another thing. The steak crostini lacked flavor. The cheese plate was so-so. The Pisco Disco cocktails were great! This might be a great place to have drinks, but I would not go again to eat.
I have to say this was the worst food I have ever put into my mouth!!! The pasta reminded me of spaghetti in a can!! The crab cakes had no seasoning what so ever. The shrimp and grits were just gross!! It was a waste of good money!! For the outrageous prices this place charges I expected eatable food!! Service was ok.
I love it. I'm new to the area, and this is my go to place. Great food, cheap drinks, and live music. What more do you need???
Had a great evening there. Loved the interior, very upscale. Food was very good and had a great time. Friendly atmosphere. Specially enjoyed the murals. Perfect touch.

Liked the atmosphere and new look. Menu could be expanded, but everything we ordered was very good. Overall a great place for drinks and light fare. Has it's own parking area, which is a plus.
Great atmosphere, great food, and incredible bar! Love it!
The interior is polished and the staff welcoming. However our food was luke warm ( the croquettes & skewers) and without much flavor. The menu is limited and nothing surprising, we definitely could tell there wasn't much effort put into it. The wine list also needs more diversity and depth.
Will never go there as long as they continue to serve Foie Gras.
My wife and I have been on countless dates, but when we choose Et Cetera, it was a simply wonderful experience. I have had many tapas being from Spain, but Chef John's tapas were so full of flavor we loved every bite. My wife and I can't stop talking about it. Both servers were friendly and charming and helped us with our selections of wine and food. Simply the best place to be at when you want to reconnect with a loved one and sample great food and wine.
I stumbled across this little store in my musings on the island. What a great find! It happened to be late afternoon, just before they started serving a tapas dinner menu. So, my friend and I were invited to sip a glass of wine while they finished preparations. What a great idea! We each had a glass of wine while perusing the great groceries that lined the shelves. The chef told us that some of the grocery items are highlighted on the tapas courses and we shared "foodie" stories. The tapas was delightful; fitting pricing, true tapas style portions, (we shared a total of five items) and although we were full, couldn't resist the french pressed coffees and cannoli! What afun little find! I will be travelling back to the store for more of the treats that I couldn't sample in one visit! Great service, friendly staff, overall fantastic offerings at the small little happenstance (for me) shop!
What's twisted about this place is that they feel like a sports bar, situated in what is essentially a strip mall, can charge $18 for crab cakes..... REALLY?
Torch stands on its own for Charleston's swankiest, sexiest bar. With sounds from Charleston's best dj's and the hottest staff around, who wouldn't have a good time.
I have to disagree with "frannybnanny". Torch is actually a pretty cool place to hang out on any given night. I suggest N-O-T avoinding this place at ANY cost, bucause you'll be missing out on one of Charleston's best bars. And the bartenders have always been very friendly every single time i've been there. Highly Recommend!!
Torch provides a classy atmosphere with great Music from some of Charlestons best DJ's. They are the only local bar with DJ's 7 nights a week. The Staff is Hott! And they have an array of speciality Martinis and Hookas to choose from! Charleston's 1 and only upscale Lounge. Reminds me of Ultralounges ive visited in NYC, D.C., and Miami just to name a few. Always a good time! 5 Stars *****hands down!
I going to dj there and turn da party crazy.I got skillz
I love this place! the bar is too much fun- and the food is fantastic.
this place has a great atmosphere but the food is mediocre and although it is a tapas menu i found the portions to be skimpy and overpriced! My friends and I (4 total) literally ordered almost everything on the menu and still left there hungry! I miss Meritage.
The macaroni and cheese stuffed crab cakes are so good you will slap yo mamma.
What a quaint store! My husband and I were blown away with the charm and customer service of Rich! He gave us a warm welcome and tour of the store like we were friends of the family. It was nice to see someone so enthusiastic and proud about his store! There were lots of unique items to peak the interest of a "foodie." If we ever visit the Charleston area again, we will definetely be back for the tapas evenings!
Re: “Barsa Tapas Lounge & Bar”
Had dinner on Friday with my fiance. Loved the interior and the very reasonably priced wine list. We had 5-6 of the tapas and the chicken and chorizo paella. The only slight disappointment was the patatas bravas, which were basically french fries with a blank sauce. However, the rest of the food items we ordered were delicious. This is the first tapas place I've gone to in Charleston that actually serves true Spanish tapas, not just anything in a small plate size. We will definitely be back!
