Re: “D'Allesandro's Pizza

Have known the brothers for years. This place is one of the best in Charleston. Do yourself a favor and call up for a delivery or better still go visit the funky place. Besides the great food and great owners you will have a great time.

Re: “Mellow Mushroom

PHENOMENAL PIZZA!!!

Mellow Mushroom makes fanatic pizza, and the restaurant itself is pretty cool. The new rooftop patio is very cool and with the addition of restrooms upstairs you no longer have to walk down a set of stairs and past the kitchen to take a leak.

The staff is very friendly, and after six years of dining in I have never had an unpleasant experience at the Mellow Mushroom. Highly recommend

Re: “Park Pizza Co.

I own Park, and in response to Bemlar, I must point out that although it may look like styrofoam, our to-go boxes are produced using green technology and are made from corn and wheat. They are 100% biodegradable. Our pizza boxes and salad containers are made from recycled cardboard and are, themselves, recyclable. Please come see us if you have any other concerns or you'd like additional information.

Re: “Paisano's Pizza Grill

The Colbert is the best pizza I've ever had! What a great mix of flavors, none of which over-shadow the others! Fast delivery, awesome crust and a great mix of sauces/ingredients to choose from. Best pizza place on JI!

Re: “Paisano's Pizza Grill

Hubby and i ate there for lunch the other day. They have great lunch specials- for 6 dollars you can get a drink and your choice of calzone/2 pieces of pizza, or wings.
We got the calzone- it was large, cooked to perfection, and tasted excellent.
This place is a great addition to JI!

Re: “Carolina Crust Gourmet Pizza

I don't understand who would keep writing more than one bad review unless it was a person that was fired. When I go into the Crust it is always a good experience. Thursday Trivia is the best. Also the patio is great to hang out by a fire and safe enough for my children to run around in. My hat is off to the best pizza place in the area!

Re: “D'Allesandro's Pizza

It may be a dump, but they do deliver too if you prefer to not go in. And who really cares anyway?? The food is so good, you don't even realize your in the middle of the ghetto. I hope they win Best Pizza in Charleston for 2010! They definitely deserve it.

Re: “Park Pizza Co.

The storefront is tiny and minimalist, but there is outdoor seating, and so many options on the menu that you probably won't even notice. It seems like the cooks here will put just about anything on a pizza, often in surprising and delicious combinations. I've been there twice so far and I can't wait to go back. The pizza (or calzone, or sandwich) is made fresh to order and if you sit inside, you can watch them throw the dough, load up your toppings, and pop it in the oven.

My buddy had a Bradwell calzone that was a weird but tasty mix of flavors including fig preserves, apples, pecons, blue cheese, turkey sausage. I've also sampled the white Room pizza (delicious white pie), the Big Z (awesome), and Ciao Ciao (pesto yumminess). I live in the neighborhood, so I am stoked that they deliver.

Re: “Carolina Crust Gourmet Pizza

Funny how the person who wrote the review who "knows" food and does this for a living disagrees. Again, it's great, great, great!!!

Re: “Monza

DELICIOUS and FRESH. If you can not be pickie for one night than it's perfect. No additions no substitutions on the menu. Very innovative style pizzas.

Re: “Famulari's

Our new favorite pizza joint. They offer a wide variety of specialty pies, as well as build-your-own, not to mention pasta, calzones, sandwiches and salads. We tried the Carolina Blue pizza (mozzerella, Canadian bacon, salami, tomatoes, onions, and blue cheese) this weekend and it was terrific! We much prefer giving our hard-earned dollars to locally-owned businesses over national chains. Give them a try!

Re: “Mia Pomodori

The review is dead-on. It's great anytime, but if you go on Sundays, you can bring your own wine or beer.

Re: “EVO

Best pizza in Charleston. It is thin-crust (but not too crispy), and wood-fired. My husband always gets the much-discussed Pork Trifecta, and I get the bianca with wild mushrooms and olives. Start off with a farmer's salad with blue cheese dressing. The beer and wine selection is excellent, they always have a few Coast beers on tap along with several other good microbrews. Friendly service, nice atmosphere. They get busy on Fridays and Saturdays so you might want to go early.
