Love love love Wildflour!!! Delicious savory scones & very reasonable prices. My dog also loves her dog cookies. :) Coffee is delic. also
For our June '12 wedding, we included treats from Macaroon Boutique in the guests' welcome bags. The macaroons were not available {only at Christmas?} but we had the chocolate/sea salt cookies and madelines. Everyone raved about the quality and we were so happy to recommend such a top notch local business.
YuM! Best bakery and coffee shop in Charleston, sooo good.
This place is excellent. The best Corned Beef and Pastrami in SC. The soup is delicious and the Danish - the best I have had outside NYC. All made in House. Making the trip here weekly, its worth the drive.
Normandy Farm Bakery is amazing! Always enjoy their breads, coffee, biscuits and desserts.
I live in the neighborhood .. Staff service is uneven & at times the Mgr is haughty as if she is doing you a favor by serving you .. Don't go here at busy time .. Food is fresh & tasty but expensive ..
Was introduced to this place a couple of weeks ago by a friend. Didn't even know it was there. I bought a chocolate croissant that was to die for. Had to get the apricot for later. Wonderful! The baguette we took home for dinner was the best I've had in a very long time. My French mother, bless her soul, would have loved this place. Also, the customer service is lovely and refreshing.
Today we had breakfast at Baguette Magic. We tried an almond croissant and the bacon, egg and cheese on brioche. Delicious! But the best was yet to come --- we took a baguette home with us. The bread was so good that we scrapped tonight's dinner menu and had bread and cheese instead. The baguette was indeed "magic".
my first visit to charleston i happened to park in front of it and as i walked past it i had to go in....super yummy super yummy super yummy..i went to this place three times in two days i loved it so much.....im going back to charleston this weekend and this will be one of my first stops...ignore these other reviewers commenting on the owners....they are super nice people and what business do you know of that allows you to take pictures in their store?
Groovy place with nice folks
I went in today to buy some macaroons to give to a friend and ended up also getting a bag of the chocolate & sea salt cookies plus a chocolate almond croissant--AMAZING! I'm sure I've never had a proper croissant until now. Indescribably good. And the sales lady (who is French) was perfectly lovely.
simply addictive cookies and croissants - a must try if you've never been. they open up around 10 or 10:30am so it's not really a good fit for some people's schedules, but if you find yourself anywhere close to them while they are open you have to go get yourself a choc&almond croissant and a bag of choc&sea salt cookies.
the couple that owns it is quite lovely if you just stop and talk to them.
We were there today. Everything looked awesome....as I was trying to decide between two items my son tried to take a picture of something, to which the snotty sales lady instructed him "you're supposed to ask first". We left with nothing.
sweet, quaint little boutique. along with the decadent and perfectly pretty macaroons, make sure to pick up an almond croissant. tres bien!
I can't rank the food, but on a trip to Charleston, SC with my family (first ever, and a straight 26 hour drive to get there) I was taking pictures of all the pretty scenery (so different then I was used to!) and I went to try to get a quick shot of how beautiful and eye catching the inside of this shop was... when I was rude gestured at. I was so completely flabbergasted that I just stood there stunned for several seconds while the saleswoman is swinging her arms at me and giving me a hideous look. That alone made it sure I never walked into that bakery to try their goods. I was really hurt by the action, but thankfully the rest of Charleston made up for the rude behavior I was given by this one person. If you don't appreciate pictures of the inside, then please put a large sign in the window or on the door to let people know before you snap at them- especially first time visitors. I have a gorgeous shot of their window with the words and pastries behind it but have no desire to show anyone the shot, or to provide it to the bakery as I do with all pictures I take.
AMAZING! If you come to Charleston, you have to try this place.
Great addition to upper king. I want to try every flavor!
I am on my way there now! This* is probably as close as I will get to Paris in the immediate future. MB is simply the best of the best! The croissants are to die for no matter which kind you get. Also, the baguettes, warmed or not, are wonderful with dinner, plain or with PB&J!

Re: “Charleston Bakery”
Web site advertising, sign on door, and telephone message says hours are 7 AM to 9 PM Tues thru Sun. We drove 20 miles from West Ashley on Fri evening but they were closed at 7 PM. Thought we would try again Sun but call 1st to understand hours. No phone answer but message still says open 7 AM to 9 PM. Finally called emergency number and find they closed at 3 PM. This is needlessly confusing and troublesome to potential customers not yet familiar that wants to try. We won't try again.
