I am so excited to see these guys again! They rocked it last year, great vibes
Sounds like an awesome event! Can't wait. Is the Charleston Harbor Cruise open to any group?
Race sounds awesome, can't wait. BroncoBilly
Hampton Park is a great place for the Plant Swap. Plan to spend some time smelling the roses.
Very poor customer service. Management is not at all helpful to resolve any issues. They do not return calls so you have to be persistant. It became obvious the customer doesnt really matter when you have a million dollar business.
I would not recommend this "fitness center".
i just want to know how much a ticket is...???? Is that too much to ask??? its not on your phone message and i cant find prices on here!!! so incredibly frustrating!!!
I know all of you are right, but we did the right thing and did not go.....I knew the traffic would suck. Mt. Pleasant is too small over there on Long Point rd. with 1 lane. And, I knew it would be a drunk fest, with overpriced food for the high class and elite...sorry it sucked, but I knew it would.....
The venue was quite good and so were Boyz II Men. I love Patti Labelle and have seen her on three separate occasions. Unfortunately, her perforance was a big disappointment. She never sang a song completely through and talked more than she sang. She began by criticizing Boyz II Men for not coming to say hello to her and stated they had no manners. Shortly after she got on stage she complained about her diabetes, stopped her attempts at singing so she could drink orange juice. Then she proceeded to eat fried chicken and biscuits (turning her back to the audience for most of this lengthy period). Come on Patti, no wonder you need five shots a day if you can't get through a concert without fried chicken and biscuits. Paid to hear her sing not chow down on foods a diabetic shouldn't be eating anyway. Too sad!

All of the local reggae bands who have big aspirations need to attend this show so that they can learn what it means to be a "tight" band. I must say that Jah Works hasn't been the same since lead singer "Scotty P" left the band, but they are still one of the best American reggae bands, not only on the East Coast, but in the entire country...I'm not criticizing the local talent, only suggesting that they may need to pay a little more attention to their ability to remain in harmony and resonance and a little less attention on wardrobe, entourage and covering the same old tired Bob Marley, Dennis Brown, Peter Tosh standards and be creative with their own material. Big Up Jah Works. They do great covers, but personally you can't beat their original tunes. See Ya at the Show!
The movie was good. But, I do want to express my deep concern with your business model. I must protest paying 34.00 to take my grand children to see a movie and spending another 25.00 on refreshments. You make us watch commercials from at least 3 major companies. This is unacceptable during good economic times and unforgivable during this the worst recession since the 1920s.
Mount Pleasant should have stayed the sleepy little village it started as. The people that moved here are responsible for the things mentioned in the above reviews. Boone Hall probably can not pay their bills because everyone is so stinking cheap around here, they probably go the market, get ideas for recipes, then go to Wal-Mart to shop. How about supporting the local market instead of bashing it, then maybe they will be able to pay their bills.
I'm really looking forward to the bed race! One of my sons is in charge of building the bed for the company he works for! Should be a great day of fun!
I took my dear sweet roomie and her boyfriend to Quyan tonight. The place is kind of hard to pick out. Just look for the big sign that says "Party Kingdom" to the left of the Piggly Wiggly and go on in. It's Friday night and buffets are a lunch time affair, so we perused the menu and also little slips of paper that were the "2-4-6" deal. For twelve dollars we each got an appetizer, soup and a main course. It was absolutely delicious from beginning to end. Our waiter was very attentive, but then the place was pretty much empty, which I thought was kind of weird for a Friday at 6 pm for a place that does serve beer and wine. Anyway, our service was awesome, our food was fantastic, and then we went into the back of the place, which could benefit from an occasional Febreze spritz. It's really a little surreal. The front is classy and quiet and the back is a little haven of screaming kids. We enjoyed some skee ball at the end. It's actually a pretty great way to end a meal. Anyway, thumbs way up! Go! That place should NOT be empty after work on Friday!
If you're looking for a break from the typical Americanized Asian restaurants in the Charleston area, Quyen is the perfect antidote. The pho is unbelievable. Spring rolls are excellent. Service was not a problem when I was there. Don't let the "Party Kingdom" sign outside fool you, this place is the real deal.
The food is great. The service is friendly, but slow and inadequate. I appreciate the smiles, but I would rather have a waitress that is attentive than happy. Regardless, I will continue to go back for the food; the ski ball, too.
2 stars for service
5 stars for food.
I LOVE Quyen but when we went last week, after getting our food, out waitress disappeared! Never saw her again- never got our drinks refilled, and i waited 15 minutes after finishing eating for the bill to come...it never did....and i had to go up to the counter to get my check!
So frustrating. I love it there so much but service is important to me (and yes, i have worked as a waitress before).
Re: “Citadel Mall Stadium 16 with IMAX”
I've been about 5-6 times and have always had a good experience. You aren't paying $2 "for the glasses", you are paying extra for the advanced technology and the fact that you are watching it in 3D is worth the small amount extra to support all the extra work that was put into making it. Let's not be ridiculous. The place is always clean (even the bathrooms), and the staff has been friendly. I like it =D
