This will be my second time visiting Middleton Gardens and I can't wait. I intend to use Omega Transportation as my ride ( since I can save 10% on a round trip) and I will tour the gardens after the demonstrations. I know the gardens will be beautiful this time of year. And I won't have to fight the traffic, so I am really excited.
Sooooo much fun
I didn't go to the fair this year or any other year. I can't believe that the Coastal County Fair would allow an animal act such as with the Bear to be included. I DETEST that type of attraction and would not give them my business.
Didn't go to fair this year....to old and to slow..to much walking, and well anyway...
It's the Fair, what to you expect? Charleston debutants in their best? People watching is one of the best parts of going to the Fair. We went to the fair last night and had a blast. Got there at 5 after a 20 minute ride from downtown. Did some kids rides with our 1 year old son, had obligatory fair food (gyro, chicken on a stick, and a fried candy bar), did a few adult rides, left and back downtown by 8.
Agreed. It's 2011, and the fair still lets morons walk around blowing cigarette smoke at people.
Wise up, exchange club, make designated smoking areas and the rest smoke free.
Especially the amphitheater, where people are packed in to see the bands.
Designated smoking areas will only slightly inconvenience a few and greatly improve the fair experience for many.
I had my wedding rehearsal dinner/party at the Maritime Center on Halloween of 2008 and it was a blast! I will never forget the hours we spent "sittin on the dock of the bay" living the moontime...
THE SHOW WAS GREAT, BUT WHEN WE BOUGHT VIP TICKET WE WERE TOLD THAT YOU WILL GET TWO DRINK & SOMETHING TO EAT. EVERYONE AT THE EVENT AT DUMP DUMP LIKE THEY DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS. I THANK THEY SHOULD REFUND SOME MONEY OR GIVE THOSE PEOPLE A DISCONT ON THERE NEXT TICKET THEY WON'T GET AGAIN I WILL RAISE HELLLLLL.
I am so excited to see these guys again! They rocked it last year, great vibes
Sounds like an awesome event! Can't wait. Is the Charleston Harbor Cruise open to any group?
Race sounds awesome, can't wait. BroncoBilly
Hampton Park is a great place for the Plant Swap. Plan to spend some time smelling the roses.
I know all of you are right, but we did the right thing and did not go.....I knew the traffic would suck. Mt. Pleasant is too small over there on Long Point rd. with 1 lane. And, I knew it would be a drunk fest, with overpriced food for the high class and elite...sorry it sucked, but I knew it would.....
All of the local reggae bands who have big aspirations need to attend this show so that they can learn what it means to be a "tight" band. I must say that Jah Works hasn't been the same since lead singer "Scotty P" left the band, but they are still one of the best American reggae bands, not only on the East Coast, but in the entire country...I'm not criticizing the local talent, only suggesting that they may need to pay a little more attention to their ability to remain in harmony and resonance and a little less attention on wardrobe, entourage and covering the same old tired Bob Marley, Dennis Brown, Peter Tosh standards and be creative with their own material. Big Up Jah Works. They do great covers, but personally you can't beat their original tunes. See Ya at the Show!
Mount Pleasant should have stayed the sleepy little village it started as. The people that moved here are responsible for the things mentioned in the above reviews. Boone Hall probably can not pay their bills because everyone is so stinking cheap around here, they probably go the market, get ideas for recipes, then go to Wal-Mart to shop. How about supporting the local market instead of bashing it, then maybe they will be able to pay their bills.
I'm really looking forward to the bed race! One of my sons is in charge of building the bed for the company he works for! Should be a great day of fun!
Re: “Boone Hall Plantation”
Is there anything like a haunted house experience for 10-year olds and 6-year olds besides the Haunted Hay Ride we do every year? Just curious. I heard of the Amy's thing but it looks like it's for 12 and over. thanks!
