FANTASTIC SHOW!! Saw it on opening night - WOW - such an AMAZING group of students. You can tell they worked hard to produce such an outstanding show... The costumes are beautiful, the sets and staging were top notch. Congrats to the cast and crew. Charleston folks - you should not miss this one!
Great show and the sound was so much better than the REK show in October. The performances were magnificent, even if the songs were at times nontraditional.
Excellent vocals, venue needs to work on sound, but overall a great band with a lot of potential. Can not wait for a venue that actually compliments them. Terrific!!!! Dream bigger!
Hell yeah! its been a while since I have been to a show...a few months. It sucks that Rehab is going their separate ways, though. I ALWAYS enjoy their live shows. If I know you, see you there! Rob KuZ.
Awesome venue to play. First rate sound, sound engineer, lighting, stage and atmosphere! www.thatgirldrummer.com
With all of the great dining options that Charleston offers, Restaurant Week gives me and my husband a chance to try places and foods that are new to us. We have had great service at every restaurant we have tried and have yet to be disappointed in the food. We went out Sunday, January 12, for dinner at Blossom and enjoyed everything. Unfortunately, prior to our reservation at Blossom, we stopped in to Cypress for a cocktail and an appetizer, the bartender had no problem expressing his negative opinion of restaurant week. I understand the discontent at having lower total sales therefore lower tips, but for the hour that my husband and I were at his bar we were the only customers so due to Restaurant Week, the bartender made a bonus $10 tip ($35 check) off of people that would not have been there on a normal Sunday evening. Every dollar counts, not just for those receiving the tips, but for those giving the tips as well.
I am biased for I know the music director as a house mate and know how much he puts into it. That said I bought the album for my brother as a Christmas gift when it came out in 1969 so I had listened to it many times. I had never seen a staged production of it, now I have. The actors and musicians brought Tommy to life with emotive singing and dancing, I felt the musicians kept the score driving and moving through all facets, folk to hard driving rock. I saw opening night and I'm going to see another. I paid to get in also no comps for being a house mate.

Had an awesome time at this event! Thanks Taco Boy! Lots of people, almost everyone in costume made for a really fun night. Tunes going the whole night kept everybody dancing. I'll be back next year.
the Passages Art Show and Sale is a Great show! I hope it becomes a permanent stop to shop for art and gifts. Our community need this art to represent the african americans.
Charleston will be served "good times " reggae tonight - awesome band
My husband and I recently saw the stand-up comedy and had a blast! While the theater is small, it is big on life, entertaininment, laughs.
It was wonderful to enjoy a night out that didn't cost an arm and a leg. At only 10$ a person and sodas/water for only a 1$, you really can not go wrong for such excellent entertainment and professionalism.
What is great is there is so much opportunity to check out great art. for example in Marion Square there are over 80 artist with there gorgeous art work on display through the entire festival. In particular go check out Kellie Jacobs art at tent # 27, it is fantastic you will all love it!!!!!!!
With the exception of 2 months back, I've never missed a show since moving to the Charleston area about 2 years ago. The cast is nothing less than passionate about their work. Every month I go, there is ALWAYS something new that they bring with them. Whether it be new lighting, or some prop swaps to keep each other on their toes during the show.
The members of Back Row Productions have never been afraid to mix and mingle in the hour before the show. They're exceptionally friendly, and I have never had a moment where it was difficult to speak to any of them. The show is also rather interactive. Countless hours have been put into every show they perform, and I enjoy every moment I'm there.
If you have seen the movie before, and want to attend a shadow cast performance, I HEAVILY recommend going to the Cinnebarre in Mount Pleasant, SC on the first Friday night of the month. They have never cancelled, and have never had a delay.
If you have attended the show, but can't find anywhere close to enjoy the picture, come to the Cinnebarre.
If you have NEVER seen the show, and you want to see what all the hype's about, come to the Cinnebarre.
Back Row Productions will not disappoint you, I promise.
This is the best sports and social group of the summer! If you've never played before you owe it to yourself to check it out! For crying out loud it's on the beach!!!
Great show! Tons of fun and really well done.
I cast serious doubts upon the notion that any locals who'd care enough to protest such an event are cultured enough to know who Dawkins is.
To be so young "Barefoot Movement" is a lot further down the road than any of us at the Charleston Music Hall were expecting...And then somehow those notions became moot as these four youngster began to levitate around a single microphone before our very eyes. And Ms. Noah Wall...this singer, songwriting, fiddle playing person in the band...Ms. Noah Wall...Why do I get the feeling that we will all remember the night when first we beheld...Ms. Noah Wall...She may be the sub-five-footer to be a lottery pick in the NBA...That girl don't sing she skyes.... Dan Lundy SATURDAY
Really looking forward to this show!
