Re: “Kaskade

Charleston has not had anyone this big in the EDM scene other than Tiesto last Fall. Should be a great party, especially since the Music Farm makes for a great venue. Anyone have information on who is openning? Klip Art perhaps?

Re: “Create Accessories and Apparel Launch Party

So, was this canceled?

Was it actually not at the Citadel?

I was pumped about it and my girlfriend and I drove around for an hour trying to find it and never saw any indication that a get together was, in fact, "getting together".

I even called The Citadel and they have no knowledge of any such event.

We also drove around the residential area and zilch.

Big disappointment.

Re: “The Red-Cockaded Woodpecker Blueberry Festival

Just a note...this is a benefit for Coastal Conservation League and The Nature Conservancy efforts to preserve Red Cockaded Woodpecker habitat and provide education about its life, so it is a ticketed event: $10 for adults, and free for 15 and under.

That isn't the correct band in the link, it's an Australian indie band. Here's the correct one http://deadleavesmusic.wordpress.com/

Re: “Stand Up for Religious Freedom Rally

500 religious fanatics showed up to deny women healthcare pretending such tea bagger bigotry was religious freedom? It is a lie that the Vatican wants expanded against the fact that abortions save lives, birth control pills cure vulvadynia, ovarian cysts & endometriosis BUT THESE gawdly gangsters won't admit any such fact, just their religious obsessions with fertilized human ova, these were the same dozen or so tampon terrorists who show up every Saturday morning to scream at all who enter the abortion clinic on Ashey River road

Re: “Night and Day: The Sun Always Rises

Night and Day put on by Artist on Fire is even more than an art exhibit; it's an experience! The thoughtfulness involved in the whole conception of the layout, the integration of the layers of art, made it worth savoring each display, each room, to soak in the varied presentations. It is a multimedia event with works that included poetry, paintings, sculpture, video, photography, installation art, and music. An intangible yet integral element of this communal project is the fellowship one senses among the artists who successfully drew us into their shared vision of the brotherhood of man and the fatherhood of God. We (my husband, son, and daughter), individually and as a family, felt that we had been given a series of gifts from friends.

Re: “City and Colour w/ Daniel Romano, David Bazan

This is all true, but you forgot to mention that Bazan was the lead singer of Pedro the Lion and that he is amazing. Should be an awesome show!

Re: “Night and Day: The Sun Always Rises

What an awesome exhibit! It was great to see the work of some extremely talented local artists! The exhibit was just the beginning of our plans for the evening, but we ended up talking about the art for the rest of the night. The music and light hors d'oeuvres were a great addition. My friends and I will definitely revisit this exhibit next year!

Re: “Night and Day: The Sun Always Rises

Loved the layout of the exhibit and of course the works that made it up. Volcanoes in the Kitchen were nothing short of spectacular. A definite must see at this year's Spoleto
