Re: “Cowspiracy Screening: Pre-Register

I went to the East Coast premier a couple weeks ago, and I'm thrilled this is coming to Charleston! I can't wait to see it again. I just pre-registered.

Re: “Rocky Horror Picture Show with Shadowcast

With the exception of 2 months back, I've never missed a show since moving to the Charleston area about 2 years ago. The cast is nothing less than passionate about their work. Every month I go, there is ALWAYS something new that they bring with them. Whether it be new lighting, or some prop swaps to keep each other on their toes during the show.

The members of Back Row Productions have never been afraid to mix and mingle in the hour before the show. They're exceptionally friendly, and I have never had a moment where it was difficult to speak to any of them. The show is also rather interactive. Countless hours have been put into every show they perform, and I enjoy every moment I'm there.

If you have seen the movie before, and want to attend a shadow cast performance, I HEAVILY recommend going to the Cinnebarre in Mount Pleasant, SC on the first Friday night of the month. They have never cancelled, and have never had a delay.

If you have attended the show, but can't find anywhere close to enjoy the picture, come to the Cinnebarre.

If you have NEVER seen the show, and you want to see what all the hype's about, come to the Cinnebarre.

Back Row Productions will not disappoint you, I promise.

Re: “Second Sundays on King Street

Having been to Germany numerous times and experienced pedestrian shopping areas in cities both small and large, I think that it is time that Charleston seriously consider making King street for pedestrians permanently. This could be accomplished using valet parking for that area instead of the inept valet plan that is currently planned. Here is a suggestion that would guarantee that this would happen. Name it the 'Joseph P. Riley Pedestrian Plaza'

Re: “Second Sundays on King Street

After your stroll on King Street come for a wander onto Broad Street and check out Gallery Row. So many great opportunities to view and purchase local art. Come to Hamlet Fine Art Gallery ( 7 Broad Street)and see the particularly wonderful pastels by Kellie Jacobs, the fine oils by Stephanie Shuler-Hamlet and Melinda Lewin, and the still life paintings of Pat Forsberg. Come a little further than King Street and open up your horizons.

Re: “Second Sundays on King Street

Want to help eliminate traffic and vehicular issues down town? Make King pedestrian only in this area. Foot traffic will increase dramatically offsetting any lost parking issues for the tenants in the area. Go to any city in Europe and notice the pedestrian only areas are packed...but then again europeans aren't circling a parking lot waiting for a space to open up so they don't have to walk.
