Some of the best events are the impromptu ones that seem like they’ll never work. Lady Gaga Day was one of those events. Who knows if the reigning queen of kooky will even be popular a year from now, but in January, she definitely had the pull to get hundreds of fans out to Marion Square. And she wasn’t even there. Nope, some College of Charleston students just got the bright idea to host a 30-minute dance-a-thon honoring Gaga. The idea took off and spread throughout the city, resulting in a crowd of costumed dancers overtaking the Square. Crazy fun events like this are just one more reason we’re gaga for Charleston.
